Justin Bieber's tour fallout leads to $31M payout to Scooter Braun
Justin Bieber has reached a $31.5 million settlement with former manager Scooter Braun, resolving a financial dispute that stemmed from the cancellation of Bieber's 2022 Justice tour.
The agreement comes two years after the pair ended their 15-year professional relationship in 2023.
According to sources confirmed by PEOPLE, Bieber, 31, will pay Braun $26 million to cover an advance originally paid by AEG Presents for the canceled tour. Braun's company, HYBE, had fronted the payment when the tour fell through, expecting reimbursement. Bieber reportedly made only one partial payment before the dispute escalated.
In addition to the tour advance, Bieber will pay another $5.5 million to cover half of $11 million in unpaid commissions Braun was owed. The total $31.5 million settlement closes a major financial chapter between the longtime collaborators.
The news coincided with the announcement of Bieber's upcoming seventh studio album Swag and the launch of his new fashion brand SKYLRK. It also follows the sale of Bieber's 291-song catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for $200 million in 2022—a deal rumored to be driven by financial strain, as detailed in a May 2025 documentary.
Bieber and Braun's relationship had reportedly cooled months before their split, with sources claiming Braun and his team were no longer involved in Bieber's music production. Braun, who retired from music management in June 2024, later confirmed their parting was amicable, saying, 'I completely respect that. I think at this point, that's what he's doing.'
With the financial dispute resolved, Bieber is turning a new page both musically and personally.

Kojo Menne Asamoah named in Drake's lawsuit over alleged bot use in Kendrick Lamar streaming case
Kojo Menne Asamoah has been named by Drake's legal team as a central figure in an ongoing lawsuit related to Kendrick Lamar's streaming performance. According to Billboard, the rapper's legal representatives believe Asamoah played a key role in artificially boosting streams for Lamar's hit track 'Not Like Us' by allegedly deploying bots and other covert tactics. While Asamoah's background remains largely unknown, online speculation suggests he may have ties to digital marketing or the music promotion industry. There is no confirmed connection between Asamoah and Kendrick Lamar, but Drake's legal team asserts that he holds critical information and documents relevant to their claim that Universal Music Group (UMG) engaged in deceptive business practices. Filed on June 4 and made public on July 14, the complaint alleges violations of New York General Business Law. Despite hiring two private investigators and spending over $75,000 in the effort, Drake's team has reportedly been unable to successfully serve Asamoah with a subpoena, according to sources like @Kurrco and @OVODocket on X (formerly Twitter). The broader lawsuit names 63 individuals and focuses primarily on UMG and its executives, including CEO Sir Lucian Grainge, Republic Records co-founders Avery and Monte Lipman, and others. Kendrick Lamar himself has not been directly named in the defamation case. While it remains uncertain whether Kojo Menne Asamoah will be compelled to testify, he is considered a key witness who may possess vital evidence. Though neither Drake nor Lamar has publicly commented or appeared in court, Asamoah's potential involvement could prove significant as the case develops.

Téa Leoni marries Tim Daly in private New York ceremony after decade-long relationship
Téa Leoni and Tim Daly are officially married. A representative for Leoni confirmed to PEOPLE that the longtime couple exchanged vows in an intimate family ceremony in New York on Saturday, July 12. The couple met in 2014 while filming the CBS political drama Madam Secretary, where they portrayed on-screen spouses Elizabeth and Henry McCord. The series ran for six seasons, airing from September 2014 to December 2019. Their real-life romance began the same year, shortly after Leoni finalized her divorce from actor David Duchovny, to whom she was married for 17 years. Their relationship gradually became public in mid-2014, with Leoni attending Daly's performance of Red in Vermont over the Fourth of July weekend. By December, PEOPLE confirmed the two had quietly begun dating during the summer. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April 2015 in Washington, D.C., where they were joined by journalist Bob Schieffer and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Daly jokingly told Bloomberg TV, 'We're gonna be a hot table,' referring to their notable dinner companions. Fellow Madam Secretary actor Geoffrey Arend later told PEOPLE the cast was surprised when they first learned about the off-screen relationship, as it had been kept discreet on set. He praised the couple, saying, 'Tim's the best — they're really good together.' True to their private nature, Leoni and Daly chose to formalize their longtime relationship with a quiet family celebration surrounded by loved ones.
