International Red Notices Lead to Arrest and Extradition
Two individuals, whose identities have not been publicly disclosed, were apprehended in Dubai following international red notices issued by both Interpol and Europol. Dubai Police confirmed the arrests on Friday, stating the men were wanted in France for serious criminal offenses including attempted fraud and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
In an official statement, Dubai Police said:
'Search and investigation teams launched a tracking operation based on red notices. The suspects and their homes were identified and monitored until they were arrested.'
The arrests were the result of joint efforts between Dubai Police, the UAE Ministry of Justice's International Cooperation Department, and French judicial authorities. The Ministry of Justice confirmed it had received official arrest warrants and coordinated with Dubai's Public Prosecution to facilitate the extradition.
Authorities further revealed that the suspects were not just wanted for isolated offenses but were linked to organised international criminal activity, with connections to murder, money laundering, armed robbery, and crime syndicate leadership.
'These suspects were involved in organised international crimes including murder, money laundering, armed robbery, drug trafficking and crime gang leaders,' the Dubai Police added.

With this operation, the number of suspects extradited by Dubai Police to France in 2025 has reached 10, according to official figures. These individuals are tied to a wide range of grave offenses including:

He is accused of orchestrating massive cocaine shipments into Europe, particularly through the Port of Antwerp, one of Europe's busiest entry points for narcotics.

Thailand Army Accuses Cambodia Of Violating Truce As Clashes Continue
Thailand's army accused Cambodia Tuesday of violating an hours-old truce, saying clashes continued despite a deal meant to end the bloody fighting that engulfed their jungle-clad frontier. Following peace talks in Malaysia on Monday, both sides agreed an unconditional ceasefire would start at midnight to end fighting over a smattering of ancient temples in disputed zones along their 800-kilometre (500-mile) border. "At the time the agreement took effect, the Thai side detected that Cambodian forces had launched armed attacks into several areas within Thai territory," said Thai army spokesman Winthai Suwaree. "This constitutes a deliberate violation of the agreement and a clear attempt to undermine mutual trust, he added in a statement. "Thailand is compelled to respond appropriately, exercising its legitimate right to self-defense." Cambodia's defence ministry spokeswoman Maly Socheata insisted there had been "no armed clashes against each other in any regions". However, both sides said morning meetings scheduled between opposing regional commanders along the border as part of the truce pact had either begun or were still scheduled to start. "I saw photos of the two leaders shaking hands," said 32-year-old pharmacy worker Kittisak Sukwilai in the Thai city of Surin -- 50 kilometres from the border. "I just hope it's not just a photo op with fake smiles -- and that those hands aren't actually preparing to stab each other in the back." Le Canard enchaîné reports that Durov's staff refuted his arrest-related assertion that he had gone to Paris to have dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron. A request for comment was not answered by Durov or his solicitors, who have refuted the allegations. Durov denied developing Telegram for illegal purposes during his initial interrogation in December 2024, although he did admit that there was an increasing number of criminals using the app and promised to improve moderation. Sources with knowledge of organised crime investigations told AFP that since Durov's arrest, French legal authorities have observed an increase in collaboration with Telegram. Durov's legal team challenges charges in EU and French courts After being initially prohibited from leaving France, Durov's court control was loosened in early July, enabling him to spend no more than two weeks at a time in the United Arab Emirates. According to a person familiar with the matter, Durov's attorneys have submitted requests to the Paris Appeals Court to have the accusations dropped. According to the same source, the attorneys have also requested a preliminary ruling from the top court of the European Union and filed a legal challenge in France to test the case's constitutionality.
