With the fandom of the WNBA skyrocketing over the past couple of seasons, there has also been an increase in the amount of critics who have begun following the 29-year old professional league.

While players all over the league have felt the wrath of social media warriors who find it fun to antagonize athletes, there may not be a player in the league who is on the receiving end of more mockery, than Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.
The No. 7 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft who was named an WNBA All-Star as a rookie has frequently drawn comparisons to draft classmate and college foe, Caitlin Clark. While they are both great players in their own right, Clark's game is heavily centered around her offensive abilities while Reese is more known for her rebounding.
As a result of this, Reese's offensive limitations have been frequently on display.
Whether it's a group of fans routinely betting on her to miss her first shot of every game, or a video of her missing contested put-backs at practice amassing 370,000 views, fans have not been shy at poking fun of her struggles.
It has gotten to the point where former NBA All-Star and host of "Club 520," Jeff Teague, has decided he won't talk about Reese anymore on his show.

On a recent episode of his podcast, Teague's co-hosts went to mock Reese for the aforementioned layup video during a segment titled "Get Well Soon." While the crew around him was laughing, Teague, who was a part of the Milwaukee Bucks' 2021 title team, shut it down.

"Man she missing in practice," Teague asked. "Turn this off...No bro. Turn this off y'all. We not doing that. We is not...no...Turn it off bruh...Listen this is the last thing I'm gonna do. We not talking about Angel Reese no more...unless it's in a positive light.
"Y'all keep making fun of her," Teague said. "People gonna think we got a problem with her and we don't."
Following the Sky's blowout loss to the Fever on Saturday, which saw her grab 12 rebounds while scoring four points, Reese's career rebounds total (532) has now surpassed her career points total (526).
She and the Sky will have a chance to bounce back on Tuesday against the New York Liberty.

On this day in Boston Celtics history, Celtics draft pick Joe Johnson was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1981. Johnson would play his collegiate basketball at the University of Arkansas, which he would lead to the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament championship in 2000. The Little Rock native would be drafted by the Celtics in the 2001 NBA Draft with the 10th overall pick of the draft and would play for Boston for 48 games of his rookie season before being traded. The small forward would be dealt with Randy Brown, Milt Palacio, and draft assets to the Phoenix Suns for Tony Delk and Rodney Rogers in February 2002, then rejoin Boston for a single game in 2022. The former Razorback averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while with Boston. It is also the date of the 1994 NBA draft, held at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Celtics took one player of note, that being big man Eric Montross out of North Carolina, drafted with the ninth overall pick of the draft.
