Asaduddin Owaisi Urges Chandrababu Naidu To 'Hang Up His Boots', Handover Charge To Son
Amid speculation that Nara Lokesh is set to be appointed as the working president of the Telugu Desam party, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi advised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to hang up his boots and hand over the reins to his minister son.
Addressing a meeting at Adoni in Kurnool District on Sunday night, Owaisi also sharply attacked the Waqf (Amendment) Act, alleging that it would infringe upon the rights of Muslims.
"I am telling you, Chandrababu Naidu, you are ruining Lokesh's future ( political ). Anyway after you, only your son will take over (as a successor). Junior NTR will not come, will he? You are confusing Lokesh.
You (CM Naidu) already served as Chief Minister for Andhra Pradesh ( undivided) for 9 years. Five years for Andhra Pradesh (divided). That's enough, Now take care of your son (handover reins)," he advised.
Several senior leaders of the party, including some ministers, have opined that Lokesh should be appointed as the Working President of the TDP, in a bid to indicate the party's succession plans.
It was widely speculated that Lokesh's elevation would be announced at the recently held party meeting, Mahanadu. However, no such announcement was made by the party.

YSRCP to launch mass movement against Vizag land scam
Visakhapatnam: Former minister and YSRCP Anakapalli district president Gudivada Amarnath pointed out that the NDA government is behaving like a real estate agency by distributing public lands at throwaway prices to the party followers and supporters. At a media conference organised in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, he stated that the lands were given away to favouring companies and real estate groups, ignoring public interest. Criticising that the government has failed in keeping its election promises, Amarnath said the TDP-led coalition government has been involved in massive irregularities in land allocations in Visakhapatnam over the past 15 months. He pointed out that while the previous YSRCP government planned to develop Visakhapatnam into a major IT destination on par with Hyderabad, the present government is diverting valuable lands to companies with no track record. Citing examples, he stated that prime lands worth thousands of crores of rupees were handed over to companies at rates as low as Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore per acre. Amarnath said this allocation had failed to generate even a single IT job for the youth in the state. The former minister stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh were supervising these shady land deals, and that public land was being looted to benefit their associates and supporters. 'Why similar land allocations are not being made in Amaravati and why the TDP was not drawing investments there,' he questioned, criticising Naidu's frequent Singapore visits aimed at renewing old ties. Amarnath announced that YSRCP would launch a mass movement against the land scam and hold the coalition government accountable for diverting public wealth for personal gain.

TDP, YSRCP spar over AP's industrial policy; Palla defends CM Naidu, slams ‘toxic' criticism
VISAKHAPATNAM: The TDP and YSRCP leaders have traded barbs over Andhra Pradesh's industrial progress under Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday. TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao slammed former YSRCP IT minister Gudivada Amarnath for allegedly distorting facts about land allocation for the Ursa Data Centre. Amarnath claimed the land was allotted at 99 paise per acre, an allegation Pallla refuted, stating the actual rates were Rs 55 lakh per acre for the data centre and Rs 1 crore per acre for IT office space, with full transparency. Palla emphasised that global tech giants like Google, TCS, and Cognizant are investing in Andhra Pradesh due to Chandrababu Naidu's transparent governance. He contrasted this with the YSRCP's tenure, during which companies like Apollo Tyres and HSBC exited the State, citing coercion and an unfavourable investment climate. He dismissed YSRCP's criticism of Naidu's foreign visits as baseless, pointing instead to alleged scams under their rule, including a Rs 3,500 crore liquor scam and a Rs 2,000 crore sand scam, both under investigation. As Naidu leads a delegation to Singapore to attract investments, Palla accused YSRCP of resorting to 'toxic narratives' to divert attention from their lack of developmental achievements. He reaffirmed the TDP-led NDA government's commitment to clean governance and industrial growth, expressing confidence that the public will see through the political noise. 'The people are watching closely,' Palla concluded.

NRIs are Andhra's brand ambassadors: AP IT minister Lokesh at Singapore diaspora meet
VIJAYAWADA: HRD, IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh described Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) as the State's brand ambassadors and urged them to promote Andhra Pradesh as a top investment destination. Speaking at the Telugu diaspora meet organised by APNRT at the OVIS Auditorium in Singapore, Lokesh emphasised the critical role of NRIs in rebuilding the State after five years of stagnation under the previous YSRCP regime. He said the coalition government, under Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, is working to put Andhra Pradesh back on track. He also emphasised alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, promising to recover the State's losses from the past five years, with interest. Lokesh highlighted global trust in the 'CBN Brand' as a magnet for investments. Citing official data, he noted that in the financial year 2024–25, India received $81.04 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), with Singapore accounting for approximately $14.94 billion, 19% of the total. He expressed confidence that directing a substantial share of these funds toward Andhra Pradesh could help transform it into a global economic hub, similar to Singapore. The minister invited NRIs from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Indonesia to invest in the State, assuring support through the Economic Development Board (EDB) for startups and industries.
