
LRT-1 on limited ops to and from Gil Puyat to FPJ Station
The temporary limited operations was implemented at 8:54 a.m., according to an advisory posted by LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Management Corporation.
The LRMC said an electrical fault was reported between the Redemptorist-Aseana Station and Baclaran Station in Parañaque City.
The company said its engineering team was already on site to address the problem.
"Simultaneously, our Team is conducting a thorough assessment of our catenary facilities to resolve the issues, followed by necessary repairs," the LRMC added.
"These proactive measures are crucial for ensuring safety and reliability across the entire LRT-1 system. LRMC is committed to providing continuous service to our passengers. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide real-time updates as progress is made," it said.

No tsunami threat from Davao Occidental quake —PHIVOLCS
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on Saturday said there is no tsunami threat following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that occurred offshore Davao Occidental. "No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data. This is for information purposes only and there is no tsunami threat to the Philippines from this earthquake," PHIVOLCS said in its Tsunami Information No. 1. "However, earthquakes of this size may generate unusual sea level disturbances that may be observed along coasts near earthquake epicenter of Davao Occidental and nearby provinces," it added. The magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck at 7:07 a.m. in the waters off Sarangani Island in the municipality of Sarangani in Davao Occidental. The quake had a depth of 10 km and was tectonic in origin. Intensity V was felt in Malungon, Sarangani, PHIVOLCS said. Meanwhile, Intensity IV was recorded in Kiamba in Sarangani, and General Santos City in South Cotabato. Magnitude 4.2 quake jolts Pintuyan, Southern Leyte
A magnitude 4.2 earthquake rocked Pintuyan town in the Province of Southern Leyte. Based on Earthquake Information No.1 issued by DOST-PHIVOLCS, the earthquake struck at 1:36 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025. The earthquake was located 09.91°N, 125.22°E - 004 km S 40° W of Pintuyan, Southern Leyte, at a depth of 10 kilometers, and is tectonic in origin.
