Lewis Capaldi explains why he won't play stadiums amid 'phenomenal demand'
Within minutes of becoming available, tickets for the singer's long-awaited comeback tour appeared on resale sites for hundreds of pounds more than face value.
He announced two extra dates for Glasgow and Aberdeen due to the 'phenomenal demand'. STV News Tickets were on Viagogo shortly after going on sale at 9am on Thursday.
Disappointed fans who missed out on the tickets took to social media to voice their dismay, with many claiming the singer could sell out higher-capacity venues, such as stadiums.
Capaldi addressed the requests and admitted that playing at venues the size of stadiums would be the 'most terrifying thing ever' at this stage of his comeback.
'Seen a couple of people mention bigger venues, honestly after taking the break it's impossible to know how many of ya might want to come [or] not come to shows,' he said. Watch

'Also looking at even bigger venues (stadiums probably the only option which is mental haha) would be the most terrifying thing ever for me, coming back straight into venues four/five times the size of an area would definitely not be the best thing for me to try.
'Hope you all understand, I really do want to see as many of you as I possibly can and your support means the world.'
It is the first tour that the 28-year-old has organised after he took a hiatus to focus on his health.
The break came following a faltering performance at Glastonbury in 2023, not long after opening up about his diagnosis of Tourette's syndrome.
He said it was the 'worst moment of his life'.
The singer made an emotional return to the festival last month, performing a surprise set on the Pyramid stage two years after being unable to finish.
He credits therapy for feeling the best he has felt in a long time.
The Grammy-nominated artist said he had previously been 'lying' to a therapist and 'telling them what I thought they wanted to hear' – but that he now 'feels amazing' after.
'I really struggle with it, it's not fun. I don't have a fun time there.
'I feel amazing after, it's like going to the gym, I think, which obviously I'm well versed in.
'Sometimes it can be really difficult, but I think I do it because I realise how important is for me to continue to feel good, because I've felt the best I felt in a long time through therapy, I would say that has been the cornerstone of like, why I feel how good I feel now.'

'Piping saved my life - now I create music inspired by my journey'
An Angus teenager who credits the bagpipes with saving her life has now composed her very own album. Katie Robertson, from Carnoustie, who is known as The Wheeled Piper, has chronic health conditions and uses a wheelchair. She first picked up the pipes in 2021, and the instrument has slowly taken over her life. The 18-year-old began busking on the streets of Dundee and has thousands of followers on her social media channels. 'I first picked up the pipes in May 2021, and I didn't have a clue how much it would change my life,' said Katie, who has curves in her spine from scoliosis, arthritis in her hands and lives in chronic pain. 'They (bagpipes) got me through spinal surgery that I underwent a few months later, and they saved my life when I neared organ failure just a wee while ago.' STV News Katie Robertson, 18, says piping has changed her life It was after a performance at a village hall with acclaimed piper Ross Ainslie, who encouraged Katie to compose her own album, that the journey of making her own music began. To achieve her dream of recording her self-penned music she needs to raise funds to the tune of £20,000. She is three-quarters of the way to reaching her target on GoFundMe. The misfortune of falling ill with Covid sparked a creative flair for writing her own tunes. 'I could suddenly just come out with these new original phrases of music that I would keep on adding to them and adding to them, and it would just evolve into fully fledged tunes,' said Katie. 'Once I had one tune, I would write another tune to go with it and then another one to go with that, and I soon realised these tunes weren't just compositions that sounded nice for the sake of it, but they were a way of me displaying my innermost emotions.' Titled Symbolism, the album, is the story of Katie's life. While there are no words, the tunes capture the emotion of her health struggles. STV News Katie Robertson has been busking on the streets of Dundee since picking up the bagpipes 'One of the sets, I hope people will be able to hear the uncertainty in it,' explained Katie. 'It was based on when I was in the hospital – I was near organ failure, and it was a really dark time in my life. 'I didn't know if I was going to get better, and I tried to display with the music that chaos – you're just in that eerie silence, you're waiting, you're waiting, and then they come to take you to the theatre.' Due to arthiritis in her hands, Katie is unable to write but created the artwork to accompany the album using an app on her phone. The images reflect the meaning of the music. Any proceeds from future album sales will be ploughed into creating a tune book so other musicians can learn her tunes and find out more about the meaning of the music, the inspiration behind it, and the artwork. 'The eye is the window to the soul and my soul is made up of music. My heart and soul has went into creating music and I wanted to be able to show that.' Famed for his roles in smash hits such as True Detective, The Hunger Games (no, not the prequel), Cheers, and No Country for Old Men — Hollywood actor Woody Harrelson has a notorious father. Charles Voyde Harrelson, Woody's dad, was tried for three murders, spent time behind bars on multiple occasions, and even attempted a prison break over the course of his colourful life. Two weeks ago, Instagram account historyfeels posted about Woody's infamous father, leading to fans exclaiming their shock and surprise. In a detailed caption, the Instagram post delved into Charles' "deep ties to organized crime" and reminded social media users of his conviction and "two consecutive life terms" post which Charles "spent the rest of his life in federal prison, where he died in 2007". The post further declared: 'In 1979, he was charged with the assassination of U.S. District Judge John H. Wood Jr., the first federal judge to be murdered in the 20th century. Harrelson carried out the hit for $250,000 on behalf of a drug dealer awaiting trial. He was captured after a six-hour standoff with police, during which he confessed to multiple killings, including JFK's, though that claim was widely dismissed. 'In 1982, Harrelson was convicted and sentenced to two consecutive life terms. He spent the rest of his life in federal prison, where he died in 2007.' One user commented: 'I was today years old when I learned this... Well alrighty then... Holy cow ! I never heard this story before!...' While a Woody fan wrote: "Hats off to Woody Harrelson for not letting his past personal life dictate his own life and, ultimately, his career as an actor. Brilliant actor." A third user said: "I bet poor Woody didn't need the world reminded of that." And another fan agreed, writing: "Poor woody doesn't need reminding and really don't see why it's any of anyone's business." Another Instagram user lauded Woody for breaking the cycle and said: "Congrats to Woody for breaking the cycle and becoming a peace loving person." While yet another fan was left surprised: 'Wow. Had no idea... Never knew this... Interesting. Glad to know his son turned the family legacy around.' The Oscar-nominated actor and his two brothers, Jordan and Brett, were brought up by their mum, Diane Harrelson, in Texas and Ohio. Born on July 23, 1938, in Lovelady, TX, Charles had a stormy existence. He worked as an encyclopedia salesman and professional gambler during his early professional years and was married four times throughout his life, reports the Mirror US. Texas Monthly reports that Charles and Diane Harrelson tied the knot in the 1950s while Charles was on leave from the Navy. In 1959, while residing in Los Angeles, he faced robbery charges but managed to secure five years probation after acting as a jailhouse "snitch," as reported by the Houston Chronicle. The couple settled in Midland, TX, and during the early 60s they had their three sons - Jordan, Woody, and Brett - in quick succession, over a span of three years. By 1968, Charles had abandoned his family just as the children were beginning school. Woody Harrelson reflected on these tough times in a candid 2012 interview with the Guardian, saying: "I think they separated when I was 7, but he was gone a lot before that, in prison. Away and back. Away and back. It wasn't like he was there all the time prior to that. [My mom] was well out of love with him. You know, I've got to give her credit because she never really soured us on him, she didn't talk negative about him, never, ever. And she could have - he wasn't the greatest husband. Or father." Charles, a man with a dark past as a convicted hitman, faced murder charges thrice and was convicted on two occasions, leading to extended periods in jail. He ultimately passed away at the age of 68 on March 15, 2007, while serving his prison sentence.
