Classic cars, live music and family fun: All roads lead to Just Wheels tomorrow
Join the Just Wheels Club tomorrow (Sunday) in celebrating the excellence of British motoring.
From the classic elegance of Jaguars to the thrilling power of Aston Martins, the club's British Day will honour the legacy of iconic British vehicles while also featuring a diverse showcase of classic, custom, muscle, street rod, truck, trike, and bike models.
Enthusiasts are welcome to display their own vehicles. There will be plenty of entertainment including music by DJ Eugene, a flea market, food stalls, children's entertainment and pony rides.
A collection in aid of the SPCA will also be held, and donations of blankets, new or old (clean and in a good condition), and pet food will be gratefully received.
No outside food or refreshments/alcohol is allowed, as well as no open fires.
The Just Wheels bar will be open. Gates open at 09:00 and entrance is free. The club is located at 169 Kitzinger Avenue in Dalview.

Hungary for more: Oscar Piastri returns to Hungaroring as F1 leader
Oscar Piastri has got used to winning since his first in Hungary last year and returns as Formula One leader looking to take a tidy advantage over McLaren teammate Lando Norris into the August break. The 24-year-old has won six of 13 grands prix so far this season, already more than any Australian driver has ever managed in a single year, and leads his British rival by 16 points with 11 races remaining. 'I'm really excited to go back. It's always a fun weekend. It's a great city, a cool track as well,' said Piastri after winning a rain-delayed race in Belgium last Sunday in McLaren's sixth one-two of the season. 'I'm sure Thursday will be nice to go back to where I had my first win. But as soon as we get on track, you forget about that immediately.' Hungary — hot and twisty and with a layout more like an overgrown go-kart track that makes overtaking tricky — puts a premium on qualifying. Norris took pole last time in Hungary but lost out to Piastri at the start, recovered the lead when the Australian suffered a slower pit stop and was then ordered by the team to hand back the place. The Briton eventually complied but it rankled at the time and he will be looking to win on Sunday without any such controversy. With McLaren dominant, and historically the most successful team in Hungary, the stage is set for another duel between the teammates. Who joins them on the podium remains an open question but this could be the moment Lewis Hamilton has been waiting for with Ferrari, while teammate Charles Leclerc has had five podiums already this season. Hamilton has an unrivalled record at the Hungaroring with eight wins and was third last year, admittedly in a Mercedes, behind the McLarens. He also has nine poles at the circuit outside Budapest. 'In the last few races, we've made progress in terms of competitiveness, and in Belgium, thanks to a lot of hard work back in Maranello, we introduced an upgrade package that further improved our performance,' said team boss Fred Vasseur. 'It will be interesting to see how the updated SF-25 performs on a completely different track, twisty, with plenty of medium and low-speed corners. Charles and Lewis are both in good form, and the team is also performing well.' George Russell set the fastest lap last year for Mercedes but his team have made some wrong turns in development and have work to do, with Italian rookie Kimi Antonelli also keen to get back in the points. 'After a tough weekend in Belgium, we are looking to put in a more competitive showing,' said team boss Toto Wolff. 'Our performances in recent races have not been up to our standards, and we have work planned to both understand why that has been and get on top of it this weekend.' Four-times world champion Max Verstappen, winner in Hungary in 2022 and 2023, will be starting his 200th race for Red Bull. The race is the 40th Hungarian Grand Prix and Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso, who took his first win at the circuit with Renault in 2003, has raced in more than half of them, this being his record 22nd.

Aston Martin warns on profit as US tariffs, stagnant Chinese demand bite
British luxury carmaker Aston Martin issued a profit warning on Wednesday citing a hit from US import tariffs and prolonged suppressed Asian demand linked to China's economic slowdown, sending the company's shares down as much as 7%. It forecast adjusted operating profit to roughly break even this year, compared with its earlier expectation of positive earnings, as it also expects a hit from a stronger pound and investments in software. US President Donald Trump's tariffs had been 'extremely disruptive' in the second quarter, Aston Martin executives said during a call with journalists. A trade deal Britain agreed with Washington last month establishes a quota-based US tariff system for imported British cars. The first come, first served system allows 25,000 UK-made cars per quarter to qualify for a 10% tariff with additional imports facing a 27.5% levy. The company said the quota mechanism had complicated financial planning for 2025 and possibly into 2026.

Revolut named official title partner of Audi F1 team
British financial technology giant Revolut will become title partner of the Audi Formula One team from next season in a "monumental" multi-year deal, the two parties announced on Wednesday. The fast-growing London-based fintech company was valued at $45bn (R804,836,250,000) last year through a secondary share sale to new and existing investors. Swiss-based Sauber are becoming the factory Audi team in 2026, when Formula One starts a new engine era with major rule changes and an 11th team on the grid with the arrival of Cadillac. Jonathan Wheatley, principal of the Audi team, said the deal had been put together in less than four months and had obvious benefits for the two sides. "If you imagine we need to engage with our fans, we need a partner that's going to help us do that," Wheatley told Reuters in a video call. "We need to expand hugely into the incredible global space Formula One is in at the moment, and we need to become the most attractive team in Formula One." Wheatley said the deal reflected Audi's brand strength and was a "good news story for Formula One". "It's the Audi magnet that's drawing a lot of people here right now," he said, speaking from the team headquarters in Hinwil, Switzerland. Revolut has more than 55-million customers but no physical branches. It gained a banking licence in Britain in 2024, after a three-year wait, and has global expansion plans. Antoine Le Nel, Revolut's chief marketing officer, gave no financial details of the F1 partnership but said the company was in for the long run with Audi and aiming for 100-million customers by 2027. He said Revolut had been looking for a platform to help the company build on its expansion. "I think we have a true opportunity to bring F1 to a huge audience," he told Reuters. "From a retail perspective and a business perspective I think there's going to be a lot of opportunities for us to connect the fan base to the sport through the Revolut platform." Le Nel said Audi taking on established teams in Formula One was like Revolut competing against traditional banks. "If you look at Audi, a very premium German brand dominating its market, it's where we want to be," he said. "It's a way for Revolut to elevate and get to where Audi has been for a long time." Audi said Revolut Business would be extensively integrated into the team's financial operations. Sauber are sixth in the 10 team championship ahead of this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix and have scored in their past five races. German driver Nico Hulkenberg celebrated his first F1 podium at Silverstone this month, finishing third in the British Grand Prix in a major boost for the team.
