How many Jacksonville Jaguars players could make 2025 NFL top 100 rankings?
How many players on the Jacksonville Jaguars could appear on the NFL top 100 list for the 2025 season? How many players on the Jacksonville Jaguars could appear on the NFL top 100 list for the 2025 season? The NFL is set to unveil its list of the top 100 players for the upcoming season, as voted on by the players, beginning on June 30th. The unveiling of these rankings will run through August 29th, with two new players being revealed each weekday as the countdown goes from No. 100 down to No. 1. The player reveals will take place on X at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM ET on weekdays and feature a three to five-minute video about each member on the list. Which Jacksonville Jaguars players could make the NFL's top 100 list in 2025? On the 2024 NFL top 100, the Jaguars had two players on the list, with quarterback Trevor Lawrence coming in at No. 94 and defensive end Josh Hines-Allen at No. 35. Those two again will be top candidates to make this year's list, and I'm sure wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. is a safe bet as well, after he was one of the most productive receivers in the NFL as a rookie, totaling the third-most receiving yards in 2024. Defensive end Travon Walker is another name to watch for. He was top-20 last season among his position group in pressures, along with recording double-digit sacks for the second consecutive year.

Now a star in orbit, Shubhanshu Shukla was always a natural in the sky
BENGALURU: He was the kind of cadet who didn't just learn to fly — he belonged in the sky. Years before Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla became the first Indian to board the International Space Station (ISS), he was already turning heads in the cockpit of a Super Dimona aircraft at the National Defence Academy (NDA). Back then, he was just another cadet from the Hunter Squadron — call sign not yet famous, dreams still earthbound. But to the instructor watching closely from the co-pilot's seat, one thing was clear: the young man had wings. 'He had a natural flair for flying,' recalled Group Captain (retd) Anupam Banerjee, Shukla's first flying instructor at NDA. 'In just the first few sorties, we could tell. Some cadets struggle with the feel of the controls or spatial awareness. Not Shukla. He was confident, intuitive — a very natural flier.' It was 20 years ago. The aircraft was an Austrian-built HK-36TC Super Dimona, used for ab-initio flying exposure at NDA before cadets move on to formal pilot training at the Air Force Academy. Shux, as Banerjee recalled, aced those initial flights — an early indication of the career that lay ahead: Jaguars, test pilot school, and finally, a ride to low-Earth orbit on Axiom-4 (Ax-4). by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Избавляемся от боли в суставах с помощью натуральных средств! I told him then — you'll go far if you keep this up.' Years later, when Shukla was preparing for spaceflight, he sent Banerjee a message. He hadn't forgotten the words. 'He told me he remembered what I'd said: that it's not enough to be a good flier or officer — you must be a good human being. That stayed with him. And when he told me that, it meant a lot.' Banerjee had flown with Shukla only seven or eight times, but the connection endured. 'He always stayed in touch. Not many do. Whenever he reached a big moment in life, he'd send a message. That says a lot about the man he's become.' Before launch, the two had one last conversation. 'I knew he was about to enter quarantine, so I wished him luck. I told him life had already prepared him for what was coming. And that, a part of me was going to space with him.' Watching Shukla dock with the ISS, Banerjee says he felt something beyond pride. 'It's still unbelievable to me — that someone I trained, someone who first flew with me, is now in space. It's not just about reaching orbit. It's about who he is as a person. That matters even more.' In a way, Shukla's story is a flight path traced not just in the sky, but in character. 'When your students do well, you feel proud. But when they turn out to be fine human beings too — that's greater joy.' So yes, Shux may now be astronaut number 634. But long before he floated weightlessly in a pressurised module, he was already soaring — on skill, sincerity, and the sort of quiet steel that can't be taught.

NFL Trade Rumors: Steelers eye $275M QB Trevor Lawrence as Aaron Rodgers' successor ahead of 2026 offseason
Steelers eye Trevor Lawrence as potential 2026 QB (Image via: Getty Images) With Aaron Rodgers likely headed into retirement after the 2025 NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly keeping tabs on a potential blockbuster replacement—$275 million quarterback Trevor Lawrence. While Lawrence remains under contract with the Jaguars, growing doubts about his long-term fit in Jacksonville could open the door for a stunning trade in 2026 and the Steelers might just be ready to pounce. Could Trevor Lawrence be Pittsburgh's next franchise QB? Aaron Rodgers signed a short-term deal with the Steelers, offering a temporary solution at quarterback. But with his career winding down, Pittsburgh must think long-term and ESPN's Brooke Pryor has floated a name no one expected: Trevor Lawrence. "Trading for a starting quarterback is rarer these days, and expensive, but not impossible. Trevor Lawrence could be worth an inquiry," Pryor noted. Aaron Rodgers Praises Steelers Leadership & Talent, Gives Life Updates On The Pat McAfee Show The Jaguars made a massive investment in Lawrence, handing him a five-year, $275 million extension, banking on his development into an elite, top-tier passer. Yet after four up-and-down seasons with only one playoff appearance in 2023—questions remain about whether the former No. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Thailand: New Container Houses (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search ads Undo 1 pick is truly their long-term answer. Trevor Lawrence's role as Jaguars' long-term QB could be on the line Lawrence enters the 2025 NFL season facing immense pressure to deliver. While he's showcased moments of brilliance, inconsistency has plagued his career. He's yet to complete a full 17-game season at a high level, and the Jaguars' offense has failed to take the leap expected with him under center. If the struggles continue, Jacksonville could consider resetting and recovering value via a blockbuster trade. And few franchises are as desperate for a long-term quarterback as the Steelers. Since Ben Roethlisberger's 2022 retirement, the Steelers have shuffled through short-term options without finding their true successor. Will Howard might get a shot, but he remains unproven. A player of Lawrence's caliber could finally stabilize the franchise under head coach Mike Tomlin. Pairing Lawrence with Pittsburgh's physical style of play and possibly D.K. Metcalf as his No. 1 target, could be the move that redefines both his career and the Steelers' future. Making Brian Thomas Jr the focal point of the Jaguars' offense
Last season it took way too long for the Jaguars to realize the caliber of player that they had on their hands in Brian Thomas Jr. It wasn't until Week 13 that the rookie phenom finally saw 10 targets in a game, but it was a little too late in the season by that point. Nevertheless, Thomas would see 10 or more targets every single game from then on out. Advertisement Following games of 22 yards and 12 yards against the Eagles and Vikings, Thomas would post at least 76 yards in each of the remaining seven games. Thomas ended up finishing third in receiving yards (1282), however, his target share for the offense didn't command that of an elite receiver. Thomas' meager 25.48% target share was 18th among NFL receivers. It's almost hard to believe he finished third in yards last season. >>> STREAM ACTION SPORTS JAX 24/7 LIVE <<< Of the Jaguars' first reads, Thomas saw 29.3% of them, ranking 26th according to Fantasy Points. In a Doug Pederson' offense, that's incredibly relevant as the Jaguars led the NFL in 1st reads each of the three seasons under him. While Thomas led the team, he wasn't seeing as many first reads as the other 'elite' receivers of the NFL. Advertisement In part, it might be due to his lack of designed targets, something fans clamored for all of last season. Thomas finished the season with 16 designed targets, less than one per game over the course of the season. That figure placed Thomas 20th among NFL receivers. For reference, Dyami Brown had four more designed targets than Brian Thomas Jr and he only started three games last season for the Washington Commanders. The Jaguars just didn't realize that Thomas was their offensive identity last season. When the Jaguars did target him, the quarterbacks solely let him down as well. According to Fantasy Points, a whopping 30% of Thomas' targeted air yards when open were deemed uncatchable. Thomas did the hard part but the Jags' quarterbacks simply couldn't connect even when he was open. Hopefully the Jaguars last seven games is a better indicator of what is to come of Thomas and the Jaguars offense. Advertisement Jacksonville struck gold in the 2024 NFL Draft and it's time for Thomas to become the focal point of the Jaguars' offense. Jaguars see Brian Thomas Jr. continuing to develop, becoming a leader in Year 2
As a rookie last season, Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was one of the team's few bright spots, catching 87 passes for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns. And the Jaguars think he's only getting better. Jaguars wide receivers coach Edgar Bennett said Thomas has shown this offseason that he wants to keep growing as a receiver, and as a team leader. 'He's definitely taken more of a leadership approach and role, and he speaks up. And it's not just from a verbal standpoint, he also leads by example. And so that's another way he's helping the entire room,' Bennett told the Florida Times-Union. Thomas himself has said leadership is a priority of his this offseason, noting that he wants to help rookie Travis Hunter as Hunter attempts the rare feat of playing both wide receiver and cornerback. Bennett said it's good to see a young player like Thomas, who was a Pro Bowler as a rookie last season, wanting to continue to grow. 'He's definitely not resting. He doesn't have that . . . that's not in him. He always seems like, when talking with him, he has that approach as far as he wants to be the best. And so with that, he put the work in and so that's his approach,' said Bennett. 'He puts the work in, the effort is there each and every day and it starts in the classroom. The moment he walks through the door, it's almost as though he's already in that mode as far as the classroom, walkthrough, practice field, weight room, whatever, he's giving it his all.' In Thomas and Hunter, the Jaguars think they have a couple of special young playmakers who are as hard working as they are talented.
