The Spin: #GivesYouTypos
Passengers flying American Airlines (AA) took to social media, drawing attention to a typo on the safety signage within the aircraft. The mistake appears in the airline's Airbus A320 aircraft. While the error in the word 'cushion' has reportedly been neglected for years, here's hoping that the actual seat-bottom cushion is being given the attention it is due.
Red Bull was also pulled up for a typo on a promoted social media post tagged #GivesYouWings. Responses to the post included comments such as #GivesYouTypos. If you don't spot the typo on the first look, read
it again.
We also have a 'sooth'-ing typo after repairs on US Highway 31. Responding to the typo, the Vestavia Hills City staff shared a post on Facebook saying, 'Woke up to a striping error this morning. City staff has been in contact with JeffCo to coordinate repair by the striping vendor. This will be repaired as soon as possible. Look for this photo on the next 'You Had One Job' reel.'
Speaking of fixed typos, Disney has finally fixed the typo spotted by visitors at the Walt Disney World Resort Magic Kingdom theme park in Florida. Those with a keen eye for such things noticed that the description for Team Green's Integrated Systems Engineer MOTO in the TRON Lightcycle Run's post-show room inadvertently had more than a single 'and'. Although it's easy to miss, clearly this tiny detail irked enough people that Disney decided to step in and save the day.
On a more serious note, New York Magazine posted an absolute howler on X (formerly Twitter) – made worse by the fact that it was on a rather sensitive topic. The magazine posted that celebrity podcaster Alexandra Cooper, host of the famous show Call Her Daddy, has accused 'Nancy Mace' of harassment. Trouble is, they actually meant Nancy Feldman, the former Boston University women's football coach who Cooper has raised allegations against. Nancy Mace, on the other hand, happens to be a US Congresswoman, who has been representing the 1st Congressional District of the US state of South Carolina since 2021. Clearly, Mace was not happy and blasted the magazine on social media for the 'lazy, dangerous typo'.
The final entry in The Spin was more of a 'visual typo' for an advertisement promoting Prestige Nail School. Makes you wonder what sort of 'nail tech school' teaches you to paint your own nails while holding someone else's hand. The only tech used here seems to be generative AI, and it clearly has not nailed the ad.

Will Disney Abu Dhabi be indoors? Here's what we know
We've got three words for you: Disney. Abu. Dhabi. The happiest place on Earth is making its Middle East debut and while our inner child is spinning in teacups with joy, one (very valid) grown-up question remains: will the Disney theme park be outdoors or indoors? Because, let's face it – as much as we love Mickey-shaped ice creams and singing Let It Go under the sun, Abu Dhabi's summer doesn't mess around. With temps soaring past 50°C, even Olaf might reconsider his eternal love for summer. So… what's the plan? Will Disney Abu Dhabi be indoors or outdoors? It's (sort of) outdoors – but also indoors. Basically, it's magic. The answer, like any good Disney plot twist, isn't so straightforward. According to Disney Parks boss Josh D'Amaro, the new Yas Island mega-project will be a hybrid, combining the best of indoor comfort with outdoor charm. They're being very ambitious, architecture, tech and water are all coming into play – which sounds like there might be a splash of Moana inspiration involved. Here's the kicker: the park is being built right up against the water. Think cool breezes, waterfront vistas and, who knows – maybe even an indoor-outdoor castle that literally lets the sea into the storyline. Miral Group CEO Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi added that, like other Yas Island hits (hi, Warner Bros. World), Disney will be indoors, but he also called it the most advanced park in the Disney portfolio. So expect something completely new – and 100 percent air-conditioned. So, when can we go? Not tomorrow, unfortunately. With a timeline of up to two years for design and another four to six for construction, we're looking at a 2030 to 2032 opening. But we've waited 100 years for Disney to come to the UAE – what's a few more? Until then, we'll keep dreaming of those castle selfies, futuristic rides and Emirati-inspired storylines (yes, those are happening too). One thing's for sure – whether indoors, outdoors, or somewhere in between – Disney Abu Dhabi will be cooler than cool. Literally. All about Disney Abu Dhabi 7 things we know about the new Disney theme park in Abu Dhabi It's going to be magical – and massive This is when Disney Abu Dhabi is likely to open A Disney official has shared a rough timeline Three key ways the new Disney theme park will change Abu Dhabi A whole new world indeed

‘Freakier Friday' marks Lindsay Lohan's long-awaited big screen return
Lindsay Lohan says she drew upon her own experiences of motherhood for 'Freakier Friday,' the highly-anticipated sequel to her hit 2003 movie 'Freaky Friday.' Lohan, 39, welcomed her first child in 2023, a year before the Disney movie was filmed. 'It felt full circle for me, and also the timing was pretty impeccable considering that I'm a new mom and I was able to bring being a mom into the character,' Lohan said at the film's London premiere on Thursday. 'It's the first time I'm able to do that on screen.' 'Freaky Friday', with a reported budget of $26 million, was a surprise hit, making over $160 million worldwide and obtaining a cult following. The 2025 follow-up sees Lohan and actress Jamie Lee Curtis reprising the roles of mother and daughter duo Tess and Anna Coleman. Twenty years on, Anna is a single parent to tomboy teen daughter Harper, played by Julia Butters. Their relationship comes under stress when Anna falls for Eric (Manny Jacinto), the father of Harper's new British classmate Lily (Sophia Hammons), and they decide to get married. The future stepsisters, with a mutual dislike for one another, decide to intervene. While the 2003 film saw a body swap between Tess and Anna, things get 'freakier' this time around with Tess and Anna switching bodies with Lily and Harper. Before signing on to the sequel, Lohan ensured that Anna returned as a multi-faceted and relatable character. 'It was important to me that we explained who Anna is today and how she's evolved and the dynamic between her and her daughter as she's a single working mom. There are some basic points that I wanted to get across because I want people to see the movie and find a piece of it that they can grab onto and be like, 'okay, I get that',' she said. Directed by Nisha Ganatra, the movie also sees actor Chad Michael Murray reprising the role of young Anna's love interest, Jake. Shooting the sequel was a 'lovefest', said Murray. 'It was the same, but better. It felt very much like connective tissue to the first movie. Everyone loved going to work and no one wanted to go home.' 'Freakier Friday' marks Lohan's big screen return. 'It's obviously nerve-wracking because you want it to be great and you want people to love what you do,' she said. 'As long as people are enjoying what I'm doing and it's making them happy, then I feel like I'm doing my job and that's what I'm here to do.' 'Freakier Friday' begins its global cinematic rollout on August 6. Meanwhile, Lohan said she would like to take on some more serious and dramatic roles as she marks her return to the big screen with the body-swap comedy sequel Freakier Friday. Lohan told The Hollywood Reporter at the Los Angeles premiere of Freakier Friday: '(I'm) doing a TV show with Hulu that I'm really excited about and I'd like to take on some more serious, dramatic roles. Lindsay Lohan Praises Privacy in Dubai During Freakier Friday Promotions
While promoting her upcoming film Freakier Friday, actress Lindsay Lohan made a glowing statement about her life in the UAE during her appearance on Live with Kelly & Mark. Speaking with hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Lohan expressed her deep appreciation for Dubai, where she has been living since 2014. When asked about her home in Dubai, Lohan said, "It's just far away from Hollywood. I live a very normal life." She also said, "I feel very safe [there]," referring to how it is illegal in the UAE to capture anyone's picture or video without the individual's permission. Her comments come as she promotes Freakier Friday, the long-anticipated sequel to the 2003 Disney hit Freaky Friday, in which she starred alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. The new film continues the mother-daughter body-swap story with a fresh twist, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. Lohan's praise for Dubai adds to a growing list of international celebrities who have chosen to make the emirate their home, drawn by its modern infrastructure, global connectivity, and reputation for safety.
