Klea Pineda confirms split with Katrice Kierulf

Klea Pineda has confirmed that she and Katrice Kierulf have broken up.
Klea made the confirmation during her guesting in "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday, where she was directly asked by Tito Boy if she and Katrice have split.
"Yes, Tito Boy, yes po. May mga kaniya-kaniya kaming priorities. Mutual decision 'yung nangyari, mutual 'yung breakup namin and umabot na kami sa point na gusto niya unahin 'yung sarili niya. Gusto ko rin naman unahin 'yung sarili ko this time, piliiin 'yung sarili ko this time," she said.
According to Klea, they both realized that they were no longer of help to each other.
"Na-realize na rin namin na hindi na kami nakakatulong sa isa't isa, parang pinupull down na lang namin 'yung isa't isa. Parang umabot kami sa ganung point,"
Nevertheless, Klea said they both fought for their three-year relationship and that she has no regrets at all, noting that she has learned a lot about love and life from Katrice and vice versa.
Klea could not help but turn emotional as she shared that the breakup feels painful because they were both "okay."
"Okay 'yung dynamics namin, kabisado ko siya, kabisado niya 'ko, sobrang ganda ng relationship namin ni Kat, pero may mga aspects lang talaga sa buhay namin na kailangan namin piliin 'yung sarili namin or unahin 'yung sarili namin."
The breakup is still fresh, according to Klea, as it only happened a month ago.
She also told Tito Boy that she talked to Katrice before her guesting in "Fast Talk" and told her she would have to confirm their split in the interview, which Katrice was okay with.
"Para lang din alam niya 'yung nangyayrai sa 'kin and 'yung mga gagawin ko and 'yung i-e-expect niya and okay naman siya. Okay kami Tito Boy," she said, adding that there's no anger between them.
Tito Boy then asked Klea about a TikTok post that Katrice reposted months ago, which led to speculations that cheating was the reason behind their breakup.
Per Klea, it was her sister that informed her that Katrice reposted the content since they had both unfollowed each other.
Klea said that she does not blame Katrice if she resposts such things on her account, but underscored that she has her own values when it comes to relationships. She added that it is best to ask Katrice instead why she made the repost because she does not want to speak for her.
"Vinavalue ko 'yung loyalty, 'yung love namin, 'yung respeto ko sa kaniya and 'di ko ever balak sirain 'yun or hindi ko ever inisip na makasira ng tao dahil sa ganiyang maling ginagawa na cheating," she said.
Klea also firmly denied that she cheated on Katrice.
"No, Tito Boy, sobrang proud akong sabihin 'yun na no. Hindi ko kayang gawin 'yun kay Kat kasi masyado kong mahal si Kat, ayoko makita siyang nasasaktan pa. Andami na ring napagdaanan ni Katrice and ayokong makadagdag pa dun, so no," she said.
Klea likewise denied that Katrice cheated on her in their relationship.
"No din, Tito Boy. Of course not. And knowing Kat, hindi niya kayang gawin 'yon kahit kanino, so, no," she said.
Klea came out as gay in March 2023 during her 24th birthday.
She met Katrice through TikTok and publicly introduced her on 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.'
In January, Klea and Katrice marked their third anniversary. Kartice also threw Klea a surprise birthday party in March.
