Actress Helen George had the trickiest time with a stingray that kept burying itself in her crotch
The ITV show, which starts on Monday, sees famous faces plunge into the ocean off the Bahamas to face one of their greatest fears.
But Helen is targeted by a stingray and blurts out: 'Jesus Christ, it's coming right at my vagina! It's there. It gave me a tickle. I've never been tickled by a stingray before . . . it was actually quite pleasant.'
Then, referring to the Aussie conservationist who died in 2006 after one of the creatures struck him in the chest, she adds: 'Didn't Steve Irwin die of a stingray?'
Helen, who plays nurse Trixie on the BBC One medical drama, has a lifelong phobia of the ocean.
At the show's Bafta launch, she said: 'I have a fear of the sea. I've been up to my knees in the last 20 years. The challenge is to get my head under water and to stay under water to even see a single fish.
'When I was very young I was at a swimming party. I remember going underwater, looking up and foam mats had been chucked where I was coming up. I couldn't get out.
'There's a fear there that if you go underwater I can't make my way back out. I feel deeply pathetic and embarrassed.'
The show also stars Rachel Riley, Sir Lenny Henry, Lucy Punch, Ade Adepitan, Dougie Poynter and Ross Noble.
A second series is being planned already and will see another batch of celebrities coming face to face with giant WHALES in Mexico.
Karen Plumb of Plimsoll Productions, who produced Shark! said: 'Yes, we are talking all the time now about the next shark adjacent show and we have been looking at making one with whales in Mexico.
Plucky celebs to star in Celebrity Shark infested waters
'At the production company we are focusing on making entertainment shows combining horror and natural history.'
I suspect the celebs would say it's more horror than natural history.

Joe Sugg refers to Strictly's Dianne Buswell as ‘my wife' before she asks awkward question
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Joe Sugg once referred to Dianne Buswell as "my wife", before she quizzed him on whether he had an engagement ring in his pocket. The YouTube sensation opened up about his relationship with the Australian dancer on the In Sickness and in Health podcast, hosted by James and Clair Buckley, recalling their first meeting on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. Their love story began on the 16th series of Strictly, with the couple confirming their relationship on Instagram shortly after the Grand Final, where they competed, but narrowly missed out on the trophy to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton. Over the course of the show, Dianne ended her relationship with her then-partner, Emmerdale's Anthony Quinlan. However, after the series concluded, Joe expressed that although he didn't win the glitterball trophy, he had "won something a million times more special". Since then, the famous pair have taken their relationship to the next level, moving in together and purchasing their first home in February 2021. Fans are eagerly awaiting news of an engagement. (Image: Getty Images for BAFTA) Reflecting on their initial meeting on the popular BBC dance show during a joint appearance on the podcast last year, Joe opened up about his experience on the genealogy programme, 'Who Do You Think You Are?'. He found it "nice" to learn about how his grandparents and great-grandparents met, leading him to draw parallels between traditional courtship methods and his own romance with Dianne. He went on: "Back in the old days, it was all through like dances, and they'd get up and go, 'May I have this dance?' That kind of thing. So like, technically, I can say I met erm.." At that point, someone interjected to clarify if he was referring to his wife, prompting him to correct this by saying "partner". Concurrently, Dianne couldn't help but join in, exclaiming: "Oh, you're dead! Have you got a ring in your pocket now?". Joe carried on: "In the future, it will be like, 'Oh, I met my wife through dancing, technically, and you can watch the moment we met'. It's gonna be really weird. You can like watch the moment that we met, I guess, on camera'." (Image: BAFTA via Getty Images) Dianne has not been shy about dropping significant hints about getting engaged to Joe, previously making a similar remark during her own podcast. On an instalment of Winning Isn't Everything, which she co-hosts with fellow Strictly sensation Chris McCausland, she gestured to her ring finger asking: "What's that one, your best friend finger?". With a touch of humour, Chris quipped that it's the digit "Joe's done nothing with". Dianne agreed, noting "exactly" and the necessity to remind Joe "what that finger holds". She concluded by expressing: "That finger is feeling very lonely, it needs something to weigh it down with." You can catch Joe's appearance on The Chase Celebrity Special on ITV on Sunday, July 13, from 5.40pm to 6.30pm.

Dancing With The Stars delivers elimination shock as audience-voted twist sees Aussie icon sent home
The curtains have closed for yet another beloved, big-named Aussie celebrity on Dancing With The Stars. After a special episode celebrating the kings and queens of song and dance, TV royalty was sent packing with a paso doble that lacked enough punch for the audience. Rebecca Gibney danced for the last time on the Channel 7 show on Sunday, earning 28 points as she took to the floor to Whitney Houston 's Queen of the Night. Judge Mark Wilson was pleasantly surprised by the Gold Logie winner's improvement since her last performance, however, pointed out that she lacked paso body shapes, which ultimately put her at peril on the leaderboard. The Bachelor 's Brittany Hockley had temperatures rising in a steamy tango to Kylie Minogue 's Padam Padam, scoring herself 33 points and a big hoorah from the judges. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Mark was so impressed by Brittany's quick adaptation to the ballroom style that he gave her his royal wand of approval. However, it was boxing star Harry Garside that floored Judge Sharna Burgess as he performed a sexy rumba to John Farnham's A Touch of Paradise in a half-buttoned silk shirt. His hard work, dedication and sensuality on the dance floor earned him kudos with Sharna and 25 points on the board, but Craig Revel Horwood wasn't as impressed, adding that he felt his dancing was disconnected. 7NEWS presenter Michael Usher was the picture of grace as he suited up and took on the Viennese waltz to Adele's One and Only. Earning a solid score of 29, Craig praised Michael for bringing class to a known-to-be-tricky dance format. Helen Richey had audience members blushing as she flirted with AFL icon Trent Cotchin, who was Elvis for the night in a rocking and rolling Jive. Donning his own blue suede shoes and a sparkly blazer to match, Trent topped the leaderboard with 35 points after all four judges were left in awe over his performance. Even hard-to-please Craig gushed that he 'loved it', which no doubt elicited a nation-wide gasp. Boxing star Harry Garside (pictured) floored Judge Sharna Burgess as he performed a sensual rumba to John Farnham's A Touch of Paradise in a half-buttoned silk shirt After our beloved celebrities had left their all on the dance floor, the studio audience's votes were combined with the judges' scores to reveal a new ranking. Much to his relief - as well as judge Sharna's - Harry was lifted from rock bottom of the leaderboard, and we instead said goodbye to Rebecca. The Flying Doctors alum thanked her dance partner Ian Waite for an unforgettable experience on the show, while raving about the magic behind the scenes of the series. 'The amount of work that goes into this show. The costumes are amazing and the makeup is amazing,' she gushed. 'Everyone from the judges, the production crew and everyone behind the scenes – it's mindboggling how extraordinary everyone is and I'm going to miss it,' she admitted. Last week, another celebrity twirled off the Dancing With The Stars dance floor for good. In a surprise twist, TV presenter Karina Carvalho was sent home, becoming the second contestant to be eliminated from the hit Channel Seven competition. Dancing With The Stars continues on Seven on Monday at 7.30pm

ITV Emmerdale fans call for 'tedious' storyline to end
Those who watch the ITV soap have been discussing the plot surrounding Joe Tate and the recently returned Dr Crowley. The pair has a previous history together as part of Joe's previous kidney transplant story. Now, the doctor, played by James Hillier, has returned to seek revenge. A post shared by Emmerdale (@emmerdale) James Hillier's character last appeared on the ITV soap back in March. Joe was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and hired the shady doctor to treat him and secure him a kidney transplant. After Joe's paternal half-uncle, Caleb Miligan, was found to be a donor match, his kidney was taken after he was stabbed. Following this, Dr Crowley transplanted it into Joe before fleeing the country, and that was the last heard from him... until now. Having returned to the soap this week, Joe was knocked unconscious and woke up in a makeshift hospital room to find Crowley. He revealed that he gave Joe an epidural and "numbed the lower spine, along with the upper, near the base of the skull", meaning Joe was left paralysed. It was revealed that Shaun, who arrived with Joe's laptop, had been secretly working for Crowley. Despite originally refusing, following the threat of torture, Joe reveals the passwords and Shaun transfers £105,000 to Crowley's account. Following Dr Crowley's return on the ITV show, fans have been discussing the ongoing storyline, and some are not impressed. It's that time again… the Inside Soap Awards 2025 are here - and the Village needs you! 💚 If you've loved the drama, cast your votes and show Emmerdale your support! 👉 Vote here: A post was made on the r/Emmerdale Reddit page, saying: "Ok Emmerdale, it's time to wrap up this Joe Tate Dr storyline, it's getting very boring...." Some fans on the thread agreed, with one saying: "Joe and the stories around him are so badly written and acted. So..... well, mind-numbingly tedious to sit through." Another said: "Yeah and I agree with you." Others have taken to social media to also criticise the story, with one fan saying: "I love Emmerdale I do but this is a bit extreme this storyline." Recommended reading: Others, however, are enjoying it, with one saying: "I'm loving seeing the Dr make Joe's life hell."
