Florida football players George Gumbs and Tyreak Sapp dropped by for a surprise visit on Tuesday night's WWE NXT. Alongside wrestling star Myles Borne, they brought some gridiron energy inside the NXT facility, delighting fans watching on the CW.
The three were deep in conversation when wrestler Lexis King suddenly popped in to interrupt their chat. It was a fun little moment that wrestling and college football fans alike were sure to enjoy.

'Tyreak Sapp, George Gumbs, I'm so hyped you guys are here,' Borne welcomed the Gators pair. 'I appreciate you guys coming to NXT. You see, I lived in North Carolina my whole life. But them Tim Tebow days made me a huge Florida Gators fan.'

Gumbs responded with a quick, 'That's what's up,' before Borne resumed talking.
'But hey, this year is your year. I mean you've got a lot of returners on offense. (You two) anchoring down the defense. Gators are so back.'
Lexis King then entered the scene, slipping into his villainous heel role by mocking the Florida Gators and Borne in an attempt to stir the pot. While his trash talk didn't make much headway, Gumbs took it upon himself to defend Borne, confronting King head-on. At the same time, Sapp proudly displayed a WWE title belt decorated with Florida Gators colors, highlighting the crossover between football and wrestling.

All in all, the segment worked well, putting a spotlight on two Florida Gators defensive linemen who are set to be cornerstones of one of the country's elite defensive units. It offered a unique and engaging way to highlight the Gators program and generate buzz as the new season approaches.

Dominik Mysterio Off Night Of Champions Due To Injury, Per WWE
Dominik Mysterio won't be on hand for this year's Night of Champions, with WWE confirming that Mysterio's match is off due to injury. During Monday's episode of WWE RAW, it was confirmed that by Adam Pearce that Mysterio was injured, and couldn't wrestle at Night of Champions. He told the news to AJ Styles, who was set to face, Mysterio, during the show. The pair were initially set to go at it for Dom's WWE Intercontinental Championship. Advertisement It's currently unclear exactly what injury Mysterio is facing, or how serious it actually is. Pearce told Styles he would be the first to get a shot at the belt when Dominik is healthy, though. More information will likely come forward in the coming days regarding his injury. Karrion Kross will finally step into the spotlight at a premium live event this weekend, as WWE has officially added him to the Night of Champions 2025 card. Despite recent concerns surrounding tensions between the USA and Iran, WWE is moving forward with plans to hold Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On WWE RAW, it was confirmed that the Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles is cancelled due to Mysterio suffering a rib injury.
