Ioan Gruffudd And Bianca Wallace Are Expecting Their First Child Together

Graziadaily16-06-2025
Actor Ioan Gruffudd and his new wife Bianca Wallace have revealed they are expecting a baby. The Welsh actor, 51, announced their big news on Father's Day with an Instagram post. 'Baby Gruffudd poppin' out to say hello!' he wrote, alongside a black and white photo of him kissing Bianca's blossoming bump. The couple were inundated with well wishes following their announcement. Their baby joy comes two months after Ioan and Bianca, 32, tied the knot.
While it's the first baby for the pair, who went public with their relationship in October 2021, it would be Ioan's third child – he also shares daughters Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11, with ex-wife Alice Evans. Sources said that the news is a 'gut punch' to Alice, who has expressed her fears of becoming homeless following their split. The 56-year-old actress was married to Gruffud for 14 years before they split in early 2021. Despite being formally divorced in July 2023, they continue to be embroiled in a bitter battle over financial support and custody of their daughters.
'Alice will be absolutely fuming over this. She's made no secret of the fact she's destitute looking after the two kids, so to have him rub how well he's doing in her face is a real gut-punch,' a source said. 'For Ioan to not only break the news like that but do it on Father's Day… it's yet another horribly upsetting saga for her to deal with.'
Last month, Alice posted that she was facing homelessness after being evicted from her LA home after being 'unable to pay' her rent amid financial woes. 'Four years of hell. And now the girls and I are going to be homeless. Somebody please help,' she wrote. 'I think I have reached rock bottom. In 16 days we have nowhere to go. Does anybody have a spare room? I'm so sorry for this. So embarrassed.'
She set up a GoFundMe Divorce fundraiser which raised over $18,000, and earlier this month, she revealed that she, her daughters and their dog Emma have 'a roof over their heads'. 'We are in our new place! I am so happy, thrilled, grateful and especially thankful,' she told supporters.

Meghan Markle's brand sends her gushing birthday message as pals share unseen photos

Meghan Markle has turned 44 but stayed silent on her Instagram account having not posted on there for over a month - however, her As Ever brand did send her a birthday message Meghan Markle's own lifestyle brand sent her a gushing birthday message as she celebrated turning 44. ‌ The Duchess of Sussex marked her birthday yesterday but has been completely silent on her own Instagram account for almost a month. But to mark her special day, her As Ever lifestyle brand shared a new image of Meghan smiling as he wears a dress and sun hat in the garden. ‌ The message to Meghan read: "Celebrating the woman behind it all. She pours her heart, vision and magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder." It comes after claims Prince Harry 'admits he is still part of the Royal Family and finally sees sense'. ‌ Meanwhile, As Ever wasn't the only Instagram account to share unseen photos of Meghan as many of her celebrity pals took to the platfrom to wish her a happy birthday. Among them was her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, who featured on the Netflix show With Love, Meghan with her pal. Sharing a selection of snaps of them together, Abigail wrote: "As glorious as the day I met you. Champagne in human form. A creature unlike any other. Thank you for being a sister in this life, and beyond. Words can't capture. From the rooftops. So grateful for your life, @meghan. Thanks for saving mine. Love, Abs. ‌ And in a rare comment, Meghan replied: "Thank you, sweet Abs! Right back at you, and happy birthday to YOU!" Jamie Kern Lima, who invited Meghan on to her podcast also shared a snap of the pair with the message: "Happy Birthday @meghan Wonder had so much fun making this for you! Can't wait to see what we learn on Season 2 of your show! Thank you for being love, light and such a generous friend to everyone you meet!" ‌ Fellow pal Tracy Robbins posted a photo of her and Meghan enjoying cocktails with the message: "Happy birthday my dear @meghan Oh how I can laugh and dance with you like no other. You are sunshine in a bottle! Thank you for always making time to be such a loving and connected friend no matter what's going on in your life. You dance through this life with so much grace, light and love! I hope your wee posse of 3 are smothering you with hugs and kisses today my dear! Happiest of birthdays M!' While her make-up artist Daniel Martin, who also appeared in With Love, Meghan, wrote: "HBD sis!" alongside a snap of Meghan with her dog Mia. It is not known exactly how Meghan marked her birthday but it is likely that any celebrations would have included her husband Prince Harry as well as their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. At the weekend she joined Harry at the beach near their home as they watched six-year-old Archie take part in a surfing lesson. ‌ The past 12 months have marked many major changes for Meghan, especially since the dawn of 2025, with the launch of her new Instagram account, lifestyle brand as well as her Netflix cookery show. However, one thing has remained - Meghan and Prince Harry's long-running rift with the Royal Family following their dramatic departure from the Firm. It comes as news that Harry will 'never be forgiven' by two major royals despite reconciliation hope. ‌ And for royal expert Jennie Bond, while Harry will be keen to make his wife's special day as memorable as it can be, she believes the same can't be said for the rest of the Royal Family. The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror: "I definitely thought that being 44 was a bit of a nondescript birthday, not particularly worthy of a special celebration. But I'm sure that Harry will want to make a fuss of his wife on her special day. ‌ "As far as I can see, he is still head over heels in love with Meghan and will probably organise a romantic dinner or perhaps a beach party with friends and lots of children to celebrate their happy family life in California. Maybe a sunrise yoga session would set the day up rather nicely! "I don't think Meghan should hold her breath for birthday messages from the Royal family, though it may well be that Princess Eugenie- and possibly Beatrice - will send a present or a card." Meghan's small hiatus from social media comes despite her lifestyle brand As Ever continues to post on the platform, with announcement last week she will be selling another batch of her rose wine. And Jennie added: "I think Meghan deserves to be pretty happy with how this year has gone so far. Whatever she does or says gets slammed in the media, but she has built up a substantial social media following in very little time, the products that she endorses or sells seem to do exceptionally well, and her TV and podcast shows — although clearly not ground breaking – – are perfectly watchable, however much her critics like to pan them."

BBC The Repair Shop expert inundated with support as he faces 'biggest problem'

More info The Repair Shop's Chris Shaw was up against a particularly tough restoration challenge, confessing it posed a "big problem". The book restoration expert found himself grappling with an old, moisture-damaged tome that turned out to be a more formidable task than anticipated. In a snippet posted on the BBC show's official Instagram page, Chris offered viewers a peek into his meticulous process of mending the book, reports the Express. While examining the pages that had fused together, he conceded: "The biggest problem is the damp, and how it's affected the structure of the binding and basically, it's delaminated absolutely everything." Leafing through the volume, the specialist detailed: "So here, you've got three separate boards that have been glued together, and the damp has made them come apart." (Image: BBC) He elaborated: "I need to get some glue in here and give it a squash and leave to dry and this is quickly tricky because I'm having to push a brush down by holding the board upright. "I'm hoping gravity will take the glue all the way down. It's very important that all these boards are stuck together to provide strength again." Determined to salvage the piece using clamps, he described: "I very rarely, in bookbinding terms, use clamps for what I'm using now. "You'd normally see Will using it, so it feels like a different trade suddenly, but it's necessary, and it's trying to get the pressure right." The comment section quickly overflowed with heartfelt messages from admirers, commending the star for their meticulous restoration work. (Image: BBC) One admirer commented: "Another brilliant restoration is always like learning." Another shared their fascination, saying, "Watching Chris bring a time-worn, battered book back to life is so entrancing." They continued to express admiration: "His knowledge and skill are exceptional, and his reverence for books and his compassion for the owner are so touching." A third added their praise: "Another brilliant restoration, BEAUTIFUL work once again. I enjoy and appreciate all you do! I am an avid book lover, also and always love learning new things." Yet another fan highlighted the unseen effort: "Making this look so easy, and we have no idea at how much time and effort was put into the learning." And one more chimed in with enthusiasm: "You are incredible! ! ! ! To restore such a book is just amazing! ! ! I love the program." The Repair Shop is available for catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
