Tennessee man with several active warrants arrested by Priceville Police
On Tuesday at 10:42 p.m., Priceville Police pulled a vehicle over along I-65 near mile marker 335.
While officers were speaking with the individuals inside the vehicle, a man identified as Trevor Allen Armstrong, 20, of Columbia, Tennessee gave a false name to law enforcement to avoid being identified.
According to police, when the false name could not be verified, Armstrong eventually told police his real name, which led to police finding out that he had several active warrants for Felony Aggravated Assault and Domestic Violence Assault issued by the Pulaski Police Department in Pulaski, Tennessee.
The Priceville Police Department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency then carried out a probable cause search of the vehicle which led to authorities finding a Glock 45 handgun, a quantity of marijuana, and various items of drug paraphernalia.
Priceville Police told News 19 that Armstrong has a history of multiple convictions related to narcotics and violent crimes, including robbery, theft of property, evading arrest, and burglary of a vehicle.
He is currently on probation in Tennessee due to a suspended sentence exceeding eight years.
Armstrong was arrested and charged with being a certain person forbidden to possess a firearm and obstructing justice by using a false identity.
He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and was issued a $80,000 bond with a hold for authorities in Tennessee.

1 dead, 1 injured in downtown Hamilton shooting, police say
A female is dead and a male is injured after a shooting in downtown Hamilton on Friday, police say. The shooting happened in the area of King Street between James and MacNab streets, according to Insp. Greg Doerr of the Hamilton Police Service. Police were called to the area shortly before 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found two victims. The female was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Doerr said the shooter was last seen fleeing on James Street. No further description was released. Lockdowns of buildings, in place after 6 p.m., have since been lifted, he said. The shooting occurred blocks away from where crowds were enjoying a free Art Crawl festival, which runs on James Street North, north of Wilson Street. "We know there is somebody armed with a firearm in the city — we're always concerned," Doerr said. In a news release on Friday, police said members of its emergency response unit cleared Jackson Square as they investigated. Police also searched James Street. "A large police presence will remain in place for several hours as officers secure the scene, collect evidence, and work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident," police said in the release. "We recognize that incidents of violence have a significant impact on our community. Hamilton Police are committed to conducting a thorough investigation, identifying those involved, and ensuring the continued safety of the public." Roads are closed and traffic is being diverted around King Street, James Street and MacNab Street. Police are restricting pedestrian and vehicle access and residents are being asked to avoid the area. Anyone who was in the area between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and who witnessed anything, or who has surveillance footage, dashboard camera video, is urged to come forward to police.

Texas Trump threat suspect arrested after allegedly writing 'I won't miss' in social media post
A Texas man was arrested Thursday after allegedly making violent threats against President Donald Trump on Facebook ahead of the president's visit to Kerrville, according to federal officials. Robert Herrera, 52, of San Antonio, was charged with making threats against the president and interstate threatening communications, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas. The alleged threats were posted on a local news outlet's Facebook page discussing Trump's upcoming visit to the Hill Country after deadly Fourth of July flooding. The outlet has not been publicly identified by law enforcement. According to a Department of Justice release, Herrera, using the name "Robert Herrer," allegedly posted the phrase "I won't miss" beneath a photo of Trump surrounded by Secret Service agents after the July 2024 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. When another user responded, "you won't get the chance, I promise," Herrera allegedly replied, "I'll just come for you," attaching a photo of himself holding what appeared to be a rifle and loaded magazines. The posts have since been removed, and federal agents arrested Herrera later that day. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison per charge. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Roomberg is prosecuting the case. IDF investigating report of murdered Palestinian with American citizenship after W. Bank clashes
The murdered Palestinian, whose death sparked an investigation, allegedly held US citizenship and was killed after being hit in the head with a club. Terrorists threw rocks at Israeli civilians near Sinjil, wounding two individuals lightly, leading to a rapid escalation, with a series of violent confrontations unfolding between Palestinians and Israeli civilians in the area, the IDF announced on Friday. Following the rock-throwing attack, clashes intensified, resulting in vandalism of Palestinian property, arson, physical confrontations, and additional rock throwing. Palestinian sources reported the death of one civilian and several injuries, though these claims are under investigation by the IDF, Israel Security Agency (ISA), and Israel Police. The Palestinian in question was a US citizen, Army Radio reported, adding that he was killed after being hit in the head with a club. In response, IDF, Israel Police, and Border Police units were deployed to the scene to calm down the situation. Riot control measures were employed, and the forces successfully dispersed the rioters. The Israeli security forces' presence helped to calm the violence, with all rioters being cleared from the area. Palestinian reports indicated that a second body, the body of Muhammad Awad, was found after going missing for hours after he was attacked by settlers near Sinjil. The reports come after 22-year-old Israeli citizen Shalev Zevuloni was killed in a combined shooting and stabbing attack at the Gush Etzion junction, also in the West Bank. The attack was carried out by two Palestinian Authority police officers, both of whom had returned to the West Bank after completing their studies in Qatar. They were both killed at the scene of the attack by Israeli security forces.
