Queen Camilla Opts for Emerald Green in Anna Valentine Dress, Brigitte Macron Goes Crisp White for French State Visit to the U.K.

Queen Camilla turned to one of her go-to designers, Anna Valentine, for her attire at the arrival of France's President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron on Tuesday in Windsor, England. The U.K.'s queen consort wore a nearly complete monochrome look, while Brigitte Macron went for a classic crisp white dress with gold accents.
Queen Camilla styled an Anna Valentine emerald green midi dress with three-quarter-length sleeves, a rounded neckline and slightly flared skirt with soft pleats. The Anna Valentine design coordinated with Queen Camilla's hat, designed by Philip Treacy.

The wife of King Charles III opted for taupe suede and leather toe cap pumps by Eliot Zed. To further accessorize her look, the queen consort wore pearl earrings and her four strand pearl choker with diamond clasp. She also added Queen Mary's Emerald and Diamond Celtic Knot Brooch, part of the late Queen Elizabeth II's jewelry collection.
Macron wore a tailored white midi dress with long sleeves and buttons on the side placket for an asymmetrical element to the overall look. The dress featured a cinched waist with gold accents to add pops of contrasting color to the ensemble. She also carried a gold clutch and accessorized her attire with metallic pieces.
In the past, however, Macron and Queen Camilla have made joint public appearances in which their respective styles complemented each other. For the Entente Littéraire Prize Award Ceremony last December, Queen Camilla and Brigitte Macron coordinated in complementary colorways. Macron wore a coatdress in a subdued shade of cornflower blue, while the queen consort opted for a gray midi dress and blazer.
The Macrons' visit to the U.K. marks the first state visit made by France in 17 years. The couple will stay at Windsor Castle, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, and a banquet will be held there in their honor.

Kate Middleton Wears a Givenchy by Sarah Burton Gown for the French State Banquet at Windsor Castle

Tonight, the Princess of Wales made a statement in a dark red Givenchy by Sarah Burton gown to a state banquet at Windsor Castle honoring French President Emmanuel Macron. The flowing silk creponne gathered evening gown featured a cape back detailing. The Princess paired it with an evening clutch embroidered with a lily of the valley motif as well as the Lover's Knot Tiara. The diadem, made by the House of Garrard in 1913, consists of diamonds and a collection of 19 hanging pearls set in silver and gold. The Lover's Knot was also a favorite of the late Princess Diana. The Princess of Wales's choice of Sarah Burton for Givenchy is a clear statement of fashion diplomacy: a design by a British woman for a French fashion house, it serves as a sartorial symbol of the symbiotic relationship between the two European countries.

‘Moisturizer' Review: Wet Leg Doubles Down

If you were an indie-rock fan in 2021, you had an opinion on Wet Leg's debut single, 'Chaise Longue.' The song, built on the quiet/loud structure that defined '90s alternative rock, wasn't formally daring or particularly confrontational, but it rapidly became ubiquitous. And when that happens to a tune from a previously unknown act, some find it hard to trust, wondering if industry machinations might be behind it all. When the band, led by the English duo Rhian Teasdale (lead vocals, guitar) and Hester Chambers (guitar, vocals), finally released its self-titled debut in April 2022, its remit was to prove that there was more to the project than a viral single. It did so handily—'Wet Leg' had at least a half-dozen good-to-great songs and showed a decent amount of stylistic range. Also embedded within 'Wet Leg' were signs of where the band might later go wrong. Here and there, the group's devil-may-care attitude gave way to a more solemn approach that sounded comparatively conventional. It was possible to imagine a future record where Wet Leg teams with a hit-making super-producer, leans toward pop, and chases a younger audience with straightforward songs about relationships and personal growth. Fortunately, the band's second album, 'Moisturizer' (Domino), out Friday, does none of that. Rather, it finds Wet Leg doubling down on what made it stand out in the first place—oddball humor, disarming expressions of lust and catchy, quirky tunes touching on antecedents like the Breeders and Elastica that avoid sounding like mere novelty.

Spotted! Dua Lipa With Summer's Trendiest Manicure

There's a new trending nail motif in town—and it's just on the dot for summer (pun intended). Meet the polka dot manicure, recently spotted on celebrities like Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber, and more. For keen observers, the evidence of an imminent polka dot resurgence was visible in the fall/winter collections. From Isabel Marant to Fendi and Conner Ives, the '80s print was spotted across dresses, bags, and even veils. Then the stars got involved. Singers Raye and Dua Lipa were sporting the sweetest polka-dot dresses by spring, while Katie Holmes stepped out in navy and white polka dot heels. Now, polka dots are popping up in the beauty sphere by way of our manicures. Celebrities such as Sabrina Carpenter and Addison Rae have been decorating their nails with dots in recent weeks. 'I usually go for plain manicures because I play guitar. These nails are cute, funky, and classic—the perfect way to jazz things up,' she tells Vogue.
