Don't look now, but Carson Branstine is taking the tennis world by storm just in time for the 2025 Wimbledon Championships.

Branstine earned a spot in the main draw at Wimbledon by going on an impressive run during qualifiers. She started off her week by defeating French Open semifinalist Lois Boisson in a three-set thriller. That positive moment carried over into her next match against former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu.
Though it's not much of a surprise, Branstine had another three-set thriller in her final qualifying match. This time around, she defeated Raluca Serban.
If Branstine wants to make a run at Wimbledon, she'll have to take down the No. 1 player in the world on Monday. She's set to face Aryna Sabalenka in the opening around. The Canadian couldn't help but joke about their upcoming match.
"Maybe one day I'll get a good draw LOL," Branstine wrote on X.

While defeating Sabalenka may seem unlikely, plenty of fans will be on her side.

Back in May, the 24-year-old from California shared a few swimsuit photos that grabbed everyone's attention.
"Stunning," one fan said after seeing these photos of Branstine.
"So good," another fan wrote.
"A bombshell has entered the villa," an Instagram user commented.
Another reason Branstine will have fan support on Monday is because Sabalenka made some questionable remarks after her loss to Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

"I think it was more windy. Also I think I was over emotional. Today I didn't handle myself quite well mentally. Basically that's it," Sabalenka told reporters. "I was just making unforced errors. I don't know. I have to check the statistics. I think she won the match not because she played incredible. Just because I made all of those mistakes, if you look from the outside, from kind of easy balls."
We'll see if Branstine can shock the world and defeat Sabalenka at Wimbledon.

Protesters urge Wimbledon to cut ties with Barclays over Israel business deals
LONDON (AP) — Pro-Palestinian protesters urged Wimbledon to drop Barclays as a sponsor Monday because of the British bank's business dealings with Israel. About two dozen protesters from Palestine Solidarity Campaign demonstrated by the main entrance of the All England Club as thousands of fans arrived for Day 1 of the tournament. 'They're the bank for the arms companies that are obviously supplying weapons to Israel,' protester Khalid Zalmay told The Associated Press. 'We should not be arming Israel, we should not be allowing anybody to facilitate arming them, and I think ties should be cut with Israel, the same way that ties were cut with Russia.' One protester held a sign that said Barclays is a 'sponsor of Wimbledon and genocide.' Hamas-led militants killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducted 251 people in the Oct. 7, 2023 attack that sparked the Israel-Hamas war. Israel's military response has led to the death of 56,000 Palestinians, according to the Health Ministry, which does not distinguish between civilians and combatants. It says more than half of the dead were women and children. Wimbledon did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Barclays said it is 'proud of our partnership with Wimbledon' and defended its business practices. WIMBLEDON - Canada's Carson Branstine saw her Grand Slam debut end Monday with a first-round loss to world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, falling 6-1, 7-5 at Wimbledon. Branstine fired seven aces and matched Sabalenka with 17 winners, but the Canadian committed 26 unforced errors and was unable to convert her lone break-point chance. The 23-year-old, ranked 194th in the world, earned her spot through last week's qualifying tournament at the All England Club. Branstine, who was born in California but represents Canada through family ties in Toronto, was one of four Canadians in singles action Monday.
