Sony launches Bravia 5 series smart mini LED TV range in India
Sony on Thursday (June 26, 2025) launched the Bravia 5 smart mini LED TV range in India running the XR processor, Dolby Atmos and Vision, 3D and spatial audio. Like the other Bravia series, the new Bravia 5 range also has the Studio Calibrated Mode and Sony Pictures Core.
The Bravia 5 comes with XR Triluminos Pro technology with XR Clear, a new AI algorithm, that enhances experience and expanded color quality along with better clarity.
Bravia 5 comes with the acoustic multi-sound technology, with the improved sound positioning tweeters and dual down-firing full range speakers. With AI, the Voice Zoom 3 analyses audio in real time to detect and isolate human voices, automatically adjusting their volume for better clarity.

The new Bravia 5 comes with a Game Menu 2 feature, where gamers can adjust the Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) or toggling Auto HDR Tone Mapping.
The new Sony Bravia 5 series comes in 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches screen sizes. These models will be available across all Sony Centers, major electronic stores, and e-commerce portals in India.

However, the 18 W fast charging feels more 'moderate' than 'fast' by 2025 standards. Topping up the battery from near empty to full takes nearly 3 hours, so overnight charging is still the best bet. Verdict At ₹17,999, the Redmi Pad 2 Wi-Fi + Cellular variant tries to check many boxes, but falls short in several key areas. Yes, it looks great. The aluminium build is commendable, the quad speakers are solid, and the battery life is reliable. But once you move past the surface, the shortcomings start showing. The display is sharp but underwhelming in brightness, performance is passable but unremarkable, and the cameras are below average. While it introduces some useful AI tricks and stylus support, these don't make up for the hardware compromises, especially when there are other tablets in the same segment offering better all-around value. The Redmi Pad 2 will suit users who just want a tablet for normal daily tasks like streaming, watching movies, or playing games. But for everyone else, this one might require more convincing — or a second look at the competition.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N now gets Level 2 ADAS with 10 safety features on its top-spec Z8L variant. With this, the SUV is now equipped with 10 Level 2 ADAS features in its top-spec Z8L guise across both powertrain options. The Indian carmaker has further announced the launch of a new Z8T variant with added features. This will be positioned below the Z8L, priced from ₹ 20.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8L is available in both six and seven-seater variants with the choice between manual and automatic gearboxes. The SUV can be had in 2WD or 4x4 versions with either a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 2.2-litre diesel mill.
