UP CM Yogi Adityanath holds 'Janta Darshan', listens to public's grievances at Gorakhnath Temple

CM Yogi Adityanath's office shared an X post and wrote, 'Public service is the highest priority of Maharaj Ji. Chief Minister Shri @myogiadityanath Ji Maharaj today listened to the problems of the general public from various districts during the 'Janata Darshan' at the @GorakhnathMndr premises. Maharaj Ji has given necessary instructions to the concerned officials for the prompt and effective resolution of public issues.'
The Chief Minister had also conducted a similar 'Janta Darshan' on Tuesday at the Gorakhnath Temple.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, attending the inauguration of the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur, CM Yogi Adityanath said that Ayurveda and Unani are progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi said, 'Today is a historic day for the entire region when the President has inaugurated Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University. We all know that before 2014, India's healthcare service was not globally recognised. We are thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for combining Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Yoga and Naturopathy, and creating the AYUSH ministry in the country.'
'Ayurveda and Unani, which were lagging, are progressing today, and the state government will take them forward,' he added.
Discussing the AYUSH system and Indian medicine, he stated that the government plans to establish AYUSH Universities in six Commissionerates.
He said, 'If we talk about India's AYUSH system, Rasa Shastra was originated by Lord Gorakhnath Nath. We have six such Commissionerates in the state where the AYUSH system is not established; we will build AYUSH Universities there too.'
'We will establish the AYUSH system, which can give life to a person, so that we can move towards better health,' CM Yogi added.
President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the AYUSH University on Tuesday in Gorakhpur. (ANI)

In a speech to Trinidad and Tobago's parliament, PM Modi emphasises the importance of women and underscores their significant contributions to India's development in diverse fields, reinforcing the cultural respect for women in India. PM Modi said, 'I'm delighted to see so many women members in this house. Respect for women is deeply rooted in Indian culture. China used India-Pak conflict as 'live lab' to test weapons: Lt Gen Singh
Pakistan was in the front, and China was providing all possible support during military conflict in May, said Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh on Friday. Speaking at an event titled 'New Age Military Technologies' hosted by Ficci, the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Capability Development & Sustenance), Lieutenant General Singh, spoke about the recent military conflict between India and Pakistan. He explained how the situation was more complex than it seemed on the surface. 'Air defence and how it panned out during the entire operation was important... This time, our population centres were not quite addressed, but next time, we need to be prepared for that... We had one border and two adversaries, actually three. Pakistan was in the front. China was providing all possible support. 81% of the military hardware with Pakistan is Chinese... China is able to test its weapons against other weapons, so it's like a live lab available to them. Turkey also played an important role in providing the type of support it did... When DGMO-level talks were on, Pakistan had the live updates of our important vectors, from China... We need a robust air defence system,' said Lt Gen Singh, according to an ANI tweet. China's 'borrowed knife' strategy Lt Gen Singh said that China was using Pakistan as a tool to inflict harm on India during the four-day conflict in May. He added that Beijing's support to Islamabad was in line with an old Chinese military principle. He referred to the '36 stratagems' from ancient Chinese warfare theory, which includes the idea of 'killing with a borrowed knife' — essentially using someone else to carry out hostile acts. 'He (China) would rather use the neighbour to cause pain (to India) than getting involved in a mudslinging match on the northern border,' Lt Gen Singh said. He pointed out that China's involvement was not unexpected given that the majority of Pakistan's defence equipment comes from China. 'Pakistan was the front face. We had China providing all possible support. And there was no surprise because, if you look at the statistics in the last five years, 81 per cent of the military hardware that Pakistan is getting is all Chinese,' he said. Turkiye's involvement The Deputy Chief also spoke about the role of Turkiye in supporting Pakistan's military efforts during the conflict. 'We saw numerous drones coming and landing in the face of war, during the war, along with the individuals who were there,' he said. Lt Gen Singh also highlighted that India's leadership sent a strong and clear strategic message during the confrontation. The military's decisions, especially target selection in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), were made using detailed data analysis. Operation Sindoor India had launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. The mission targeted terror bases across the border. The action led to four days of heavy cross-border hostilities, ending on May 10 after both sides reached an understanding to halt military actions. Significantly, Pakistan sought an end to the clashes following India's forceful counter-strike.

'Not real doctors'? Chess Grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi fires back in viral Doctor's Day spat

The 30-year-old chess player recently took to X to wish his family a happy National Doctor's Day on July 1st. A social media user with the handle 'TheLiverDoc' commented on Gujrathi's post that none of his family members were "really doctors." Ever since, the two have been engaged in an online verbal war that seems to have no end. On July 1st, Gujrathi posted a photo of his family on X writing, "Happy Doctor's Day to my entire family." When asked about the medical specialities of his family members by a person in the comments, he revealed that his father is an Ayurvedic migraine specialist, his wife is an MD Homoeopathy, his mom practices cosmetology and his sister is a physiotherapist. Sometime later, 'TheLiverDoc' reposted Gujrathi's post writing, "I am sorry but none of them are really doctors." Gujrathi responded strongly to the comment writing, Your entire brand and personality is built on insulting others. While you chase retweets by tearing people down, my family quietly heals lives without needing a spotlight. They've helped more people than your ego can count. Stay in your lane. And for a change, try being useful." 'TheLiverDoc' who claimed to be a certified internist with a doctorate in hepatology and liver transplant medicine then took to the social media platform to pen a detailed response clarifying that he meant no offence to the chess player's family and was making a point from a professional standpoint. He explained how Doctor's Day is celebrated as the birth and death anniversary of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, one of India's most revered physicians and how the practitioners of Ayurveda , Homeopathy, Cosmetology and Physiotherapy are not "clinical physicians" and the practices themselves are not "realistic clinical medicine." He added how Gujrathi's ignorance of science and health affects the public perception of realistic healthcare and pseudoscientific practices, adding that the medicines he mentioned were "alternate medicine" that is not proven to work. The man clarified his credentials adding that he has 260 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 4400 citations, and an h-index of 30. "Calling out medical misinformation is what I do apart from being a full-time doctor. I suggest you stay in your lane and discuss more on chess. Sorry for the checkmate. And for a change, talk about chess and try being useful. All the best for your future matches," ended the man. "Which "medicines" existed before "science" came to play?" probed another. "Someone celebrates their birthday on X. They: 'Woohoo!
