Victoria Beckham shares update on David after surgery with recovery video
Sir David Beckham has now returned home after undergoing surgery, with his wife Victoria Beckham having shared an update on the retired footballer this evening. It comes following the news earlier that he had been in hospital.
This morning, Victoria, 51, shared a photo of David, 50, lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling. It's since been reported that he had surgery to address a broken wrist that he sustained more than 20 years ago in a football match.
Hours after her post, Victoria has now suggested that he's back home from hospital following the apparent procedure. This evening, she shared footage of David stood in the couple's kitchen in a post on her Instagram Story.
The video shows David stood at a counter. Lettuce and cucumbers are seen on the table. Victoria says: "So this weekend's vegetable content." She adds: "Look, he's overperforming on the cucumber front. Look at this! Are they all from the ..." David looks unimpressed as he reacts: "I'm not sure you can say that, darling!" He however is then seen holding up a cucumber as he grins whilst his wife laughs.
Following the news that David had been in hospital, a source told the Mirror that he underwent 'secret' surgery to repair a broken wrist. He's said to have sustained the injury during a friendly football match against South Africa in 2003.
The source said: "It had been giving him problems recently and so he wanted to get it fixed." They added at the time that he planned to check out of the hospital soon and "hoped" to be able to travel to the US in time for his Inter Miami football team's next knockout match in Atlanta against his former club Paris Saint Germain in the FIFA World Cup on Sunday.

Spain's Bonmati hospitalised with viral meningitis days before Euro 2025
June 28 (Reuters) - Midfielder Aitana Bonmati, Ballon d'Or winner for the last two years, has been hospitalised with viral meningitis less than a week before Spain begin their Women's Euro 2025 campaign, coach Montse Tome said. The 27-year-old missed Friday's 3-1 win over Japan in a friendly as Spain continued building up to their first Group B match against Portugal on July 3. Bonmati shared a picture of herself watching the match from a hospital bed in an Instagram story. "The doctors say that it is controlled. Talking about meningitis can be scary but it is controlled," Tome told reporters after the win in Leganes. "Aitana will be admitted and there are no deadlines yet to know for how long (she will be absent).' Barcelona's Bonmati, who also won the FIFA Women's Player of the Year award for 2023 and 2024, has scored 30 goals for Spain in 78 appearances, playing a key role as they won the Women's World Cup in 2023 and the Women's Nations League last year. "Aitana, for us, is a very important player. We'll wait for her as long as we can," Tome added. Spain, who also have Belgium and Italy in their group, have never made it to the final of the continental championship, reaching the semi-finals only once in 1997.

Boris Johnson's wife Carrie rushed to hospital just a month after giving birth
Carrie Johnson, wife to former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, has been rushed to hospital amid soaring temperatures this week. The mum-of-four has sent a warning to fellow parents from her hospital bed Boris Johnson's wife has issued a warning to fellow mums after she spent two nights in hospital this week. Carrie and Boris Johnson welcomed baby Poppy into the world on May 21, with baby Poppy being Boris' ninth child. He and Carrie married in July 2021, and already share sons Wilfred, five, and Frank, one, and daughter Romy, three. Carrie Johnson has been treated in hospital for "severe dehydration, a little over a month since welcoming her fourth child. Carrie revealed on Friday how she had been rushed in for treatment and warned fellow mums to "eat and drink enough in this heat". Takign to her Instagram stories she wrote: 'Being hospitalised for two nights for my severe dehydration was not on my postpartum bingo card. Breastfeeding mums make sure you eat and drink enough in this heat. Especially if your babe is clusterfeeding." The 37-year-old added: 'This week has honestly been brutal. Mastitis (me), reflux (her), dehydration (me). What a pair we are! But thank you for all the kindest messages, especially all the brilliant advice on reflux. Really appreciate it and made me feel way less alone going thru it all.' Mastitis is an inflammation of breast tissue, common in women who are breastfeeding. The Tory former Prime Minister has always refused to talk about his family life but he is believed to have at least nine children, including four with his wife Carrie. He has been married three times, first to Allegra Mostyn Owen who he met at Oxford University. The couple were married for six years before they divorced and he tied the knot with lawyer Marina Wheeler in 1993. Their marriage lasted 25 years but they separated in 2018 amid rumours of his affair with his now wife Carrie, who had worked as a Tory spinner. The couple moved into No10 together after Mr Johnson became PM in 2019. There are 24 years between the former PM, now 60, and media consultant Carrie, who shares glimpses of their personal life through her stylish Instagram feed. On the surface the pair seem quite different. Carrie, 37, is a fashionable modern mum who loves posting about dreamy family holidays, thrifted Vinted finds, and lunches out with her wide circle of friends. Boris, by contrast, is known for his more traditional tastes — his love of classics, Shakespeare, and iconic leaders such as Winston Churchill has earned him a reputation as a British eccentric. On May 29, 2021, Carrie and Johnson tied the knot in a secret wedding at Westminster Cathedral, sticking to a low-key affair with just 30 guests amid the restrictions of the Coronavirus pandemic. Sharing a snap of herself in her thrifty £45 rented wedding gown, Carrie declared she was 'very, very happy'. One year after their first wedding, in the summer of 2022, Johnson and Carrie said 'I do' once more in a boho chic style ceremony held at the Grade I-listed in the Cotswolds - owned by one of the top Conservative Party supporters, JCB chairman Lord Bamford. Guests enjoyed an al fresco feast, while Carrie wore a garland of white flowers.

Georgia Love sends telling message to ex-husband Lee Elliott following their shock split
Georgia Love has shared a very telling message with ex-husband Lee Elliott following their shock split after nine years together - four years of which were in matrimony. The Bachelorette star, 35, shared a mirror selfie to her Instagram Stories on Friday as as she stood in the elevator of Madison Grand in Southbank, Victoria. She cradled a bouquet of flowers in one arm an added the iconic breakup son Flowers by Miley Cyrus to the post. The captions over the photo read out the well-known lyrics of the song. 'I can buy myself flowers. Write my name in the sand. Talk to myself for hours. Say things you don't understand,' the song went. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The brutal message comes after Georgia and Lee sold their Melbourne home and earned a big payday at the auction. Georgia and Lee, 43, who met on The Bachelorette Australia in 2016, put their home on the market a few months after announcing their split earlier this year. The former couple's four bedroom home in Hampton East went under the hammer last Saturday. Their property passed in on a $1.53 million bid after being listed with a $1.5 million to $1.58 million price expectations. However, over the weekend, post-auction negotiations ended with the sale of the home for an undisclosed amount. The pair paid an estimated $1.35 million for the chic, ultra-modern, two-storey townhouse in 2021. It can then be assumed the former couple pocketed at least $180,000 from the sale. Georgia and Lee may have shocked fans with their split, but at the auction there appeared to be no bad blood between them. The former couple looked very friendly with each other as they attended the auction of their Hampton East 'love nest' in Victoria. They had plenty to be happy about, as the 'SOLD' sticker outside their marital home proved they managed to offload the $1.35 million property. The exes were all smiles as they then went out to a local café together to celebrate the sale. Located 17km from the CBD in the upmarket Bayside area, the property boasts a thoughtful open-plan layout and an alfresco dining area with a BBQ kitchen. Highlights include a main bedroom with a private balcony, a fitted dressing room, and a dual-vanity ensuite. Design features include double-glazed windows and doors, Caesarstone benchtops, Tasmanian oak flooring, hydronic heating, and reverse-cycle air conditioning. Georgia and Lee fuelled rumours they had split for some time, as it had been more than four months since they were seen together. The pair spent Christmas apart with their respective families before Georgia jetted off to New York City for a holiday without Lee. They were also both spotted without their wedding bands, which led to a wave of speculation online suggesting they had ended their relationship.
