The Bollywood superstar who delivered 17 hit films in just 3 years, and is still regarded as the first superstar of Bollywood.
Today, actors and actresses in Bollywood aspire for a successful film, but there was a time when a superstar emerged whose hit films were unending, achieving 17 successful films in just 3 years. To this day, no one has surpassed this actor's record. Additionally, he even tutored Jitendra for his first film audition. Let's discuss this star who made numerous consecutive films, but when he began to fail, he shifted to a political career.
Bollywood's First Superstar Rajesh Khanna
The Bollywood superstar we are talking about is Late Rajesh Khanna, who began his journey in 1966 with Aakhri Khat. However, the height of his success was from 1970 to 1973, during which he delivered 17 consecutive hits. He ruled the box office in 1970 and 1971 with films like The Train, Sachcha Jhootha, Safar, Aan Milo Sajna, Kati Patang, Mehboob Ki Mehndi, Anand, Andaz, Maryada, Haathi Mere Saathi, Chhoti Bahu, and Khamoshi. In 1972, 10 of his films also became hits, including Shehzada, Mere Jeevan Saathi, Bawarchi, Apna Desh, Amar Prem, Joru Ka Ghulam, and Bangaru Babu, leading to his record of 17 hit films that remains unbroken.
When Rajesh Khanna Gave Tuition Classes To Jumping Jack
Rajesh Khanna coached Jeetendra prior to Jeetendra's initial film audition. They had been friends since their school days at St. Sebastian's Goan High School, where they were known by their real names, Jatin Khanna (Rajesh Khanna) and Ravi Kapoor (Jeetendra). Khanna assisted Jeetendra in getting ready for his audition for the movie 'Geet Gaya Patharone.'
The Second Innings Of Rajesh Khanna
Rajesh Khanna earned the title of Bollywood's first superstar after his 17 consecutive hits, but eventually, his films began to underperform. In 1990, he ventured into politics and in 1991, he ran for the Delhi Lok Sabha seat, defeating Shatrughan Sinha. He served as the Delhi MP from 1991 to 1996. Although he passed away on July 18, 2012, he is still remembered as Bollywood's first superstar.

Jeetendra talks about being a builder after selling land at whopping Rs 855 crore, says people in movies are emotional but that's not the case in real estate: 'Log chaalaak hai'

Veteran actor Jeetendra , now 83, has found major success in the world of real estate and construction in recent years. In a recent interview, he opened up about his approach to the business and how it's quite different from the typical practices in the industry. The actor known for a variety of movies like 'Parichay', 'Khudgarz', 'Caravan' and many more has ventured into real estate business and is doing quite well. Speaking with the YouTube channel Visionary Studioz, Jeetendra said, 'I am not like a typical builder.' He explained that while most builders sell properties before they're even constructed, he chose a different path. 'Typical builders sell the property before it is made, but I don't like that. So I decided that I will construct the building first, and then I will sell it. I might appear foolish as a normal businessman. ' Having spent five decades in the film industry, Jeetendra shared that he finds a stark difference in the way people operate in both fields. 'I have spent 50 years in the film business and in my time, I don't think I have seen people as nice as them… such nice, kind-hearted people. People in the film business are very emotional but when I started this business, I realised that they have a different system.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like La mejor alarma contra los robos, instalación rápida en un día - 30% descuento Verisure Alarma Ver oferta Undo He added, 'Log chalak hain, sayane hain (People are clever, cunning here),' and admitted that maybe he isn't as sharp in the real estate world. Jeetendra also spoke about the values that bring success in the construction business. 'In the movies, people work with emotions but that doesn't work in real estate. All the successful builders who exist today, they have all done good work and people have appreciated them. And those who are riffraff, those who just run away after completing the construction, make false promises, most of them are behind bars. You are only appreciated for your good work. ' The 'Himmatwala' actor has spoken up about being a builder, just after he made headlines last month as he sold a land parcel in Mumbai's Andheri area for a whopping Rs 855 crore. Reports said the deal involved two adjoining plots totaling about 2.39 acres, with three buildings and around 4.9 lakh sq ft of built-up space.

Made for Rs 4 crore, this film was huge hit, earned Rs..., was rejected by Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, made Anil Kapoor star, movie is...

Sometimes when a role is rejected by one actor, it is given to another, which sometimes turns out to be a game changer for everyone. A similar story happened with this actor when stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna rejected this film with Sridevi. Little did they know that the movie would become a huge hit and, not just that, it would also become a cult classic. This movie was made for ₹4 crore and later went on to earn ₹10 crore, making it a huge hit and also becoming the second highest-grossing film of the year at the Indian box office. While today these numbers seem low, back in 1987, when this film was released, it was a big deal. If you are wondering which movie we are talking about, then it is Mr. India. Anil Kapoor Was Not the First Choice for Mr. India According to reports, Mr. India was originally written with Rajesh Khanna in the lead, but the film was then offered to Amitabh Bachchan. However, the actor refused. When Rajesh Khanna turned down the movie, Anil Kapoor was offered the film, and he agreed. The movie became a huge hit and established Anil Kapoor as a leading actor. The movie also featured Sridevi opposite Anil, and their pairing was loved by the audience. Apart from Anil and Sridevi, another iconic actor who stole the hearts of the audience was the late actor Amrish Puri, who played Mogambo! Satish, who is a close friend of Anupam, was initially considered for this role but was rejected, and Amrish came into the film. Amrish's dialogue 'Mogambo khush hua' is still a hit.
