New Delhi:
The Adani Group has emerged as the fastest-growing Indian brand this year, with its brand value up by 82 per cent, according to a new report. The Group's growth is attributed to aggressive and integrated infrastructure focus, surge in green energy ambitions, and increased brand equity across key stakeholders, said the 'Most Valuable Indian Brands 2025' report by London-based Brand Finance.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani in a post on X said, "Delighted to share that Adani Green has surpassed 15,000 MW of renewable energy capacity, marking the largest and fastest green energy build-out in India's history. From the desert landscapes of Khavda to a proud place among the world's Top 10 Green Power Producers, this milestone is more than a number. It reflects our commitment to the planet and our resolve to drive India's green resurgence!"

The value of the Adani brand surged from $3.55 billion in 2024 to $6.46 billion, marking a substantial gain of $2.91 billion -- a testament to the Group's strategic clarity, resilience and commitment to sustainable growth.
The increase in value this year is greater than the entire brand valuation reported in 2023, helping the Adani Group climb to rank 13 from 16 last year, according to the report.
The company has seen record-breaking revenue, unprecedented growth and historic profitability.
Addressing the 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) this week, Mr Adani, said "In FY25, our numbers were strong. Across all our sectors, we did more than just scale. We created impact, inspired change, and most importantly, deepened our national commitment".
In terms of consolidated numbers, at the Group level, revenues grew by 7 per cent, EBITDA by 8.2 per cent, and Net Debt-to-EBITDA ratio remained healthy at 2.6x. Total revenues were Rs 2,71,664 crore, and adjusted EBITDA was Rs 89,806 crore.
"Our capital investment across businesses is set to break all records. We anticipate an annual CAPEX spend of $15-20 billion for the next five years. These are not just investments in our Group, but investments in the possibilities for doing our part to build India's infrastructure," said Mr Adani.
Adani Power crossed 100 billion units of generation -- a scale never before matched by any private sector company. It is now well on track to reach 31 GW capacity by 2030.
Meanwhile, showcasing a resilient economy amid robust policies, the collective brand value of the top 100 Indian companies reached $236.5 billion in 2025 to date. The Brand Finance ranking report results remained stable, reflecting a year of steady gains for major Indian brands across sectors.

Indian Rupee Underperforms Most Emerging Asian Currencies on Tariff Worries

(Bloomberg) -- Before the trading day starts we bring you a digest of the key news and events that are likely to move markets. Today we look at: Good morning, this is Alex Gabriel Simon, an equities reporter in Mumbai. Stocks may open higher today after President Donald Trump indicated that a trade deal with India could be reached soon, and the country avoided receiving a tariff letter unlike some of its peers. Investor attention will also be on the BSE and stock brokerage firms, following a recent study that revealed a worsening trend of losses in derivatives trading among retail investors. Retail traders drop over 1 trillion rupees in F&O Individual investors lost over 1 trillion rupees dabbling in equity derivatives in the year ended March, a SEBI study released late Monday shows. That's a sharp jump from 748 billion rupees the year before — even after the regulator introduced measures late last year to curb excessive speculation. The findings come just days after SEBI temporarily banned Jane Street, accusing it of misleading retail participants through alleged index manipulation. Jane Street has denied the claims. Jane Street curbs may hit options volumes, Nuvama earnings The temporary trading ban on Jane Street may dent options volumes and weigh on earnings for intermediaries like Nuvama Wealth, which counted the quant firm among its key clients, according to Jefferies. In contrast, BSE may see limited impact, as foreign investors account for only a tiny portion of the bourse's derivatives segment turnover, the brokerage said. Nuvama shares rebounded on Monday after a steep selloff in the previous trading session. Silver may shine in July on seasonality, strong demand Silver tends to perform well in July, and Ambit analysts say this year could be no different. The silver/gold ratio is currently about one standard deviation below its long-term average, thanks to gold's recent rally. Meanwhile, global green energy policies are boosting silver's appeal as a key industrial metal, they add. Three great reads from Bloomberg today: The Indian rupee was among the worst-performing emerging Asian currencies on Monday, after President Donald Trump threatened harsher tariffs on nations backing 'Anti-American policies' of the BRICS bloc. The rupee slid as much as 0.7% — its steepest in two months — to 86.0262 per dollar. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia highlights 'rapid growth' of Northeastern states fulfilling PM's resolve

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India] July 8 (ANI): Union Minister for Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya Scindia, on Monday highlighted the rapid progress being made in India's Northeastern states and reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'resolve' to make the Northeastern region the 'growth engine' of India. Interacting with media on Monday in Indore, Scindia said, 'The Prime Minister's resolve is to make the Northeastern region the growth engine of India. The Government of India is working with that same resolve, based on which, whether it be social development or infrastructure, all eight states are moving forward with renewed enthusiasm.' Scindia noted that while the national GDP growth rate currently hovers around '6-7%', the eight Northeastern states are witnessing an impressive growth rate of '11-13%', reflecting the impact of sustained government efforts and targeted investments. He also cited the success of a major Northeast Investment Summit held on May 23. 'On May 23, an investment summit was organised for the Northeastern states. In that, an investment of Rs 4.18 lakh crore was secured for all eight states... There is full hope that our eight states will not only bring a new dawn for India but also for the Global South,' he mentioned. Meanwhile, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday announced multiple initiatives by the government to boost the waterways and maritime sector in the Northeast region. 'With an investment of Rs 5,000 crore earmarked, the Union Government has drawn up major initiatives in this regard,' Sonowal said. He said that, over the past 11 years, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has transformed India's maritime sector with record growth in cargo handling, capacity and coastal shipping. Major ports have nearly doubled their capacity, cruise tourism is rising with ambitious new terminals, and 50,000 youth from the Northeast will be trained for maritime jobs. 'Key legislative and digital reforms, green shipping initiatives, and projects like the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project are strengthening regional connectivity and trade. India's ports are now globally competitive, with nine ranking in the World Bank's top 100, and Visakhapatnam Port reaching the top 20,' Sonowal said. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Sonowal said, 'Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have revitalised India's maritime sector as never before. From historic growth in port capacity and cargo handling to pioneering green shipping, cruise tourism and skill development for our youth -- these achievements reflect the Modi government's unwavering commitment to make India a global maritime powerhouse and drive inclusive development across every coastal and riverine region.'
