Disney has unveiled the first teaser trailer of Zootopia 2, reuniting the beloved Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
It's time to reunite with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, with Disney finally arriving with the much-awaited Zootopia 2. Over two years after the sequel was announced, the first teaser trailer has been dropped, promising more fun and chaos as the rookie cop and con artist go on another mission. Directed by the returning Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia will show Judy (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick (Jason Bateman) in the middle of a great mystery after the arrival of Gary De'Snake in Zootopia, who turns the animal metropolis upside down.
'To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before," the trailer synopsis reads.
The sequel introduces Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan as the snake Gary, marking an expansion in the Zootopia world to include reptiles and other semi-aquatic creatures.
Backed by high-pitched techno beats, the clip opens to show Gary hilariously crossing paths with Nick and Judy, only to lead them in a police chase throughout Zootopia. Along the way, they encounter a mysterious cloaked figure with glowing eyes. With the trio promising a complete riot, the teaser concludes with flashes of several returning characters as well as new faces like Nibbles (Fortune Feimster) and Dr Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson). Not to forget, Shakira is also back, reprising her role as the singer Gazelle. 'Gazelle is back, and she's got a new look, a new song, and, of course, new dance moves. Just wait until you see what she and her tiger dancers have been working on," the pop icon said at the D23 Brazil Expo last year.
While Zootopia 2 is directed and written by Jared Bush, the original 2016 film was helmed by Rich Moore and Byron Howard, collecting over $1 billion globally. The film even won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film alongside a Golden Globe.
Speaking about the sequel, director Jared Bush welcomed audiences to the 'outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia," promising to take them on a wild ride into the unexplored parts of the city. 'Whether it's the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes, or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes, Judy and Nick, will meet a lot of new friends and discover even more about the world, themselves, and a brand-new snake in town," he added, as per Deadline.
Zootopia 2 releases on November 26.

After Deepika, Hansal Mehta Reviews Brad Pitt's F1; Says Javier Bardem Was Reduced To…

Last Updated: Hansal Mehta reviewed Brad Pitt's F1, critiquing its underused cast. Previously, Deepika Padukone, too, praised the film. 'Brad Pitt. That's it, that's the post. IYKYK," wrote Deepika Padukone, while expressing how she liked the film, F1. A day later, filmmaker Hansal Mehta reviewed the film, carefully writing about how the story and its characters were treated. In his honest opinion of the Hollywood blockbuster, the Scam 1992 director wrote that Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem was 'wasted' in the film. 'My thoughts on F1", was how Hansal Mehta began his review. He continued, 'F1 applies every familiar screenwriting trope from the underdog sportsperson playbook: the tormented past, the fractured team, the old-vs-young dynamic, and the predictable trajectory from rock bottom to redemption. You can almost hear the structure ticking away beneath the surface." He continued, 'And yet, despite all that, it works – at least in parts. The racing sequences are thrillingly constructed, shot with the kind of kinetic precision that makes you forget the cliché for a while. The film treats its beautifully ageing lead with near-reverence and rightly so. There's something moving about watching a star who knows how to carry silence and wear fatigue with grace." Mehta then went on to write about what he felt didn't work for the film. 'What definitely doesn't work is the treatment of its supporting cast. Take Javier Bardem—an actor capable of thunder—and reduce him to one of the laziest character sketches in recent memory. A waste really," he penned. 'And yet, for all its worn-out tropes and narrative shortcuts F1 had the audience glued for most part, willingly swept up in the spectacle. Somehow the clichés didn't matter. The crowd wanted the hit and the film delivered. Same drug, different packaging but the high still lands," he concluded. Take a look: My thoughts on F1F1 applies every familiar screenwriting trope from the underdog sportsperson playbook: the tormented past, the fractured team, the old-vs-young dynamic, and the predictable trajectory from rock bottom to redemption. You can almost hear the structure ticking… — Hansal Mehta (@mehtahansal) June 29, 2025 Social media users couldn't agree more with Hansal Mehta. 'God has spoken!", wrote a fan. 'I felt the same. The romantic track was also half baked. I don't know if it was necessary too," said another. Yet another user drew parallels between Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan: 'Absolutely apt review @mehtahansal sir! This is what SRK did with Pathaan and Jawan but rest of the Bollywood kind of forgotten!" What is Brad Pitt's F1 about? Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former racing legend making a comeback to F1 after decades away, in a film directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for the action-packed Top Gun: Maverick. Premiering internationally on June 27, the movie has already garnered rave reviews for its mix of emotional narrative and realistic racing scenes. With Lewis Hamilton as a co-producer, F1 doesn't just tell a racing story—it immerses viewers in the sport. The film features an impressive cast including Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, and Sarah Niles. Bardem portrays Ruben Cervantes, Sonny's former teammate and now the struggling owner of a team, who persuades Hayes to make an unlikely return. First Published: June 30, 2025, 12:07 IST

The Bear bounces back with Season 4, and fans are eating it up: ‘It's been excellent'

Despite a lukewarm reception to Season 3, FX's The Bear is back and despite what critics say, netizens think that Season 4 might just redeem it all. The Emmy-winning series returned to Disney+ on June 25, and early reactions from long time fans suggest the pressure-cooker drama is heating up in all the right ways. The Bear Season 4 Created by Christopher Storer, The Bear follows Chef Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) as he attempts to turn his late brother's humble Chicago sandwich shop into a fine-dining powerhouse. Season 4 picks up immediately after the tense Season 3 finale, where a brutal restaurant review left fans questioning the future of Carmy's culinary dream. The full cast is back and firing on all cylinders. Jeremy Allen White returns alongside Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt, Molly Gordon, and Jamie Lee Curtis. How are fans reacting? The early reviews are pouring in, and it's clear viewers are feeling the heat (in the best way possible). 'I'm a couple of episodes in and it's definitely better and more focused than last season. No stupid cameos so far. Central characters in focus. Also still definitely not a comedy,' one user wrote. Another fan shared, 'On episode 9. I've loved it so far. I'd rank the seasons so far. 1, 2, 4, 3.' 'Watched up to episode 4 so far and think it's been excellent. Such a beautifully shot and acted show,' read another review. Additionally, the shift in tone and pacing from Season 3 is being widely appreciated. 'Just finished episode 6 myself, definitely a step up from S3... while it's not hit the heights of S2 yet, at least it feels like the story is finally making some forward momentum,' said one fan. 'Same. It's way beyond S3. The characters can actually communicate with each other now and everyone has been less mean to each other, so to speak. It should not have taken Carmy a whole season to talk to Claire,' another viewer noted. And for some, it's already binge-worthy gold: 'I binged the whole show last night. I really liked S4. The personal development of the characters is striving more than ever now and I hope there is another season.' Looks like The Bear Season 4 seems to be plating up something worth savouring.
