Playing for Orlando Pirates a dream come true, says Oswin Appollis
Orlando Pirates' new signing Oswin Appollis is cherishing being part of the Buccaneers, saying wearing the Soweto giants' famous black and white jersey means a lot to him. Appollis joined Pirates from Polokwane City a week ago. The Bafana Bafana star has already shown flashes of brilliance in Bucs' two friendlies in their camp in Spain — a 2-0 defeat against English third-tier side Bolton Wanderers on Friday and 1-1 draw against Cypriot champions Pafos on Sunday, both at Marbella Football Centre. 'Yes, it is a dream come true to play for Pirates. Playing for this great club is an honour. I always watched [Pirates] on TV — now wearing this jersey means a lot to me,' Appollis told sportscaster Thomas Mlambo in Spain on Monday.

However, this number has grown to eight following the decision to loan out this star. Pirates released Innocenet Maela, Miguel Timm, Thabiso Monyane and Paseko Mako. Thereafter, Phillip Ndlondlo and Monnapule Saleng (loan) made their way out of Naturena. More recently, Mohau Nkota and Goodman Mosele's departures have been confirmed. So, Nkota has made his way to Saudi Arabia. Whilst, Mosele has been loaned out. 'Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the permanent transfer of Mohau Nkota to Ettifaq Club in the Saudi Pro League,' Pirates confirmed in a statement. Mosele joins PSL rivals, Chippa United on loan. 'He's not the only one from Pirates that will be loaned to Chippa, but I can tell you for sure that Goodman has been shipped to Chippa. I'm not sure what this means for his future going forward if he does well, because at 25, age is still on his side,' the insider stated on Phakaaati . Meaning, he is the second Bucs player to be loaned out. He follows in the footsteps of Monnapule Saleng who has been loaned out to Orbit College.
