Inter Milan are considering the future of midfielder Piotr Zielisnki, whilst Kristjan Asllani and Tomas Palacios are to be sold.
This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Midfielder Piotr Zielinski only arrived at Inter twelve months ago.
The Polish international looked like a real transfer coup when Inter signed him on a free transfer.
Zielinski had been one of the outstanding midfielders in Serie A for the better part of a decade with Napoli, Empoli, and Udinese.
However, the Pole never quite lived up to expectations in his first season at Inter. Injuries certainly played a role in him failing to make an impact.
Inter Consider Future Of Zielinski – Asllani & Palacios To Be Sold
LEVERKUSEN, GERMANY – DECEMBER 10: Piotr Zielinski is. He was. This is. That was. It is. He would be. It is of FC. Internazionale runs with the ball during the. UEFA Champions League 2024/25. Now, the Gazzetta dello Sport anticipate, Inter could already be prepared to offload Zielinski.
The 31-year-old is not exactly in the ideal age bracket considering the Nerazzurri's efforts to lower the average age of the squad.
Moreover, Zielinski is a high earner. His wages of €4.5 million net per season would not be something Inter would be unhappy to see the back of.
Therefore, Inter are considering whether or not Zielinski has a place in their project going forward.
Nevertheless, Inter will not take any decisions lightly with a player of Zielinski's quality.
On the other hand, the Gazzetta report, Inter have long made a final decision about two players. They want to sell both midfielder Kristjan Asllani and defender Tomas Palacios this summer.

Arsenal fumble a sale! Gunners rejected by Portuguese giants after asking for €30m for defender Jakub Kiwior

Kiwior linked with Arsenal exit FC Porto eye Gunners defender Put off by €30m price tag Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Porto were keen on the Poland international but baulked at Arsenal's €30m (£26m) asking price. Instead, they moved to sign Southampton centre-back and compatriot Jan Bednarek, who joined for £6.5m. THE BIGGER PICTURE Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen on keeping Kiwior for next season but the player is said to be considering a transfer exit in a bid to get more game time. He has been linked with a Serie A switch but as of now, he remains in the Gunners squad. DID YOU KNOW? The 25-year-old, who can play at centre-back and left-back, has made 68 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring three goals in the process. But the Pole is very much behind Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba in the pecking order and that has been reflected in his 45 starts for the club. WHAT NEXT? It remains to be seen if the former Spezia and Zilina star, who has 35 caps for his country, will still be an Arsenal player when the summer transfer window shuts in a few weeks.

Rakitic issues apology after Modric post insults Juventus fans

Ivan Rakitic has been forced to issue an apology to Juventus fans after he accidentally used an insulting chant against them when celebrating Luka Modric's move to Milan. Croatia international Rakitic retired in July after a career spent with FC Basel, Schalke 04, Sevilla, Barcelona, Al-Shabab and Hajduk Split. He is good friends with fellow Croatian Modric and posted on Instagram to celebrate this new experience of joining Milan as a free agent. Modric congratulations included Juventus insult Luka Modric during his first interview as a Milan player on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. However, what the former midfielder didn't realise was that the song he picked to accompany this image of them together was not just in support of Milan, but actively insulting towards Juventus. When it was pointed out to him, Rakitic removed the offending clip and posted an apology on his Instagram Stories. 'I wish to extend my sincere apologies to the supporters of Juventus. My intention was solely to use a song associated with AC Milan to congratulate my friend Luka Modric, without being aware of the historical context or the lyrics tied to it. 'I had absolutely no desire to offend anyone, least of all a club for which I hold the utmost respect.' The song was a chant heard regularly in the stadium, 'Chi non salta e un gobbo Juventino,' translated as 'whoever doesn't jump is a Juventus supporter.' Gobbo means hunchback and is an insulting term used to describe Juve fans. View this post on Instagram
