HCL Tech Q1 Result Today: What To Expect, Dividend Announcement, Key Brokerage Estimates
Last Updated: HCL Technologies is set to announce its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, on Monday, July 14; Key points for investors HCL Tech Q1 Results: Technology giant HCL Technologies is set to announce its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, on Monday, July 14. In a regulatory filing, the company stated that its Board of Directors will meet to consider, among other items, the unaudited financial results for the first quarter of FY26. HCL Tech Q1 Result Time HCL Tech Q1 Expectations This quarter's performance is expected to reflect typical seasonal weakness often seen in the June period. However, analysts caution that this softness may be deeper than usual due to subdued demand and ongoing global tariff uncertainties. While year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth may be decent, quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) revenue is expected to remain flat or decline slightly. Adjusted profit after tax (PAT) is also projected to be muted or show a marginal decline on both fronts. Beyond the headline numbers, the Street will focus on the company's FY26 revenue guidance, commentary on discretionary spending, updates on its deal pipeline and engineering and R&D (ERD) services, as well as the total contract value (TCV) of deals closed during the quarter. Phillip Capital forecasts an 8.7% YoY and 0.8% QoQ rise in revenue, with PAT likely to grow 2.2% YoY and 1.1% QoQ. EBITDA is projected to increase 12.3% YoY and 0.4% QoQ, with margins expanding 68 basis points YoY but contracting 10 basis points sequentially. The brokerage expects constant currency (CC) revenue to fall 0.4% QoQ, though a cross-currency gain of 230 basis points may keep reported numbers in positive territory. Segment-wise, it sees QoQ CC declines of 0.3% for both IT Services and ERS, and 2% for software. Phillip also expects HCL Tech to narrow its FY26 CC growth guidance to 3–5% (from 2–5%), while maintaining EBIT margin guidance at 18–19%. Motilal Oswal Financial Services expects revenue to grow 7.2% YoY but decline marginally QoQ. PAT may see a minimal 0.4% rise YoY but fall 0.7% sequentially. EBITDA is projected to rise nearly 9% YoY, with margins improving to 21% from 20.6% a year ago. The brokerage anticipates a 1.2% QoQ revenue decline, with Services expected to dip 1.2% and Products and Platforms (P&P) segment to fall 1%. Margins are expected to decline 50 basis points QoQ, consistent with seasonal patterns observed in Q1 of previous years. Meanwhile, Kotak Institutional Equities projects a 0.8% QoQ decline in constant currency revenue for both the Services and Products segments, citing seasonal weakness in the IT Services business. The firm sees a cross-currency tailwind of 214 basis points for the quarter. EBIT margins are likely to shrink 60 basis points QoQ but expand 20 basis points YoY. Kotak also expects robust deal wins in the $2–2.5 billion range and anticipates that HCL Tech will maintain its FY26 revenue growth guidance at 2–5% and EBIT margin guidance at 18–19%. Kotak further notes that investor focus will likely be on five key areas: the impact of reciprocal US tariffs on manufacturing and retail segments, the nature and timing of deal closures, discretionary spending trends, GenAI adoption and its deflationary impact, and margin drivers to reach the 19–20% aspirational range. HCL Tech Q1 Dividend Announcement In addition to earnings, the board may also consider a second interim dividend for FY26, according to the exchange filing. '…Payment of 2nd Interim dividend for the financial year 2025-26," the exchange filing read. Shares of HCL Technologies closed at Rs 1,637 on Friday, down 1.58% from the previous day's close of Rs 1,663.35 on the BSE.
