Attack of 'large proportions' disrupts streaming of Barcelona's preseason match in Japan
Barcelona said 'various pages' attempted to disrupt the live feed of the team's 3-1 win at Vissel Kobe on Sunday.
'As a result of this avalanche of requests, the system engaged the pertinent security mechanisms which then affected the broadcast on the (club's) website and app,' Barcelona said in a statement. 'Straightaway, the decision was taken to offer the game free on the club's YouTube platform to guarantee the broadcast of the game.'
Barcelona apologized 'for the inconvenience caused and will contact all those people affected.'
Barcelona's trip for the Asia preseason tour was delayed because of an issue with a promoter.

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart avoided a significant injury when she hurt her right leg in a game Saturday night, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press. The All-Star forward had imaging done and nothing major turned up, according to the person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Sunday because no official statement had been made. She will travel with the team on its four-game road trip that begins in Dallas on Monday night, the person said. Stewart left the game nearly 3 1/2 minutes into the Liberty's 101-99 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks. She had three points and a rebound. Stewart seemed to injure the leg while running up the court. New York was playing the second half of a back-to-back. Stewart had a quiet scoring game in Friday's win over Phoenix, with just six points. She did have eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals. Stewart came into Saturday's game averaging 19 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists on the season to help New York (17-7) to the second-best record in the league. The two-time WNBA MVP hadn't missed a game yet this season. After playing much of July at home, New York will be on the road for five of its next six games. New York also had two other injuries; Kennedy Burke had some cramps and Leonie Fiebich has been dealing with a hand injury she suffered against Phoenix. 'She's tough and resilient, she pushed through it,' Brondello said.

Spain coach Montse Tome insisted that her team did not deserve to lose Sunday's Euro 2025 final after the World Cup holders were agonisingly beaten 3-1 on penalties by England. "I think this team deserved more. We worked so hard for a long time to get here, to the final against a top-level side in England, and I thought the team deserved more, or at least to not be left with the feeling we have now," Tome told reporters after the match at St Jakob-Park in Basel. The game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes, with Alessia Russo heading England level just before the hour mark following Mariona Caldentey's 25th-minute opener for Spain. With no further scoring in extra time, it went to a shoot-out in which three Spain players including Aitana Bonmati all failed to score before Chloe Kelly netted the winning kick for England. "This is sport and in sport you need to accept defeat, which is what happened to us in the penalty shoot-out," added Tome, who took over from Jorge Vilda as coach shortly after Spain beat England in the final of the 2023 World Cup. "I thought we played well in the first half, then in the second half their equaliser maybe left us a bit downbeat. "After that we dominated possession in extra time but couldn't get the win." Spain, appearing in their first ever European Championship final, enjoyed 60 percent of the possession overall and had 24 attempts on goal to England's 10. But they paid the price for not putting the game to bed. "I thought we were the better team but in football it is not always the best team which wins," Tome added. "England are a great side and have been so competitive throughout the tournament. "They got the equaliser and then defended to try to get to penalties, and in the shoot-out we chose the penalty-takers who we thought would be most effective." Patri Guijarro scored Spain's first penalty but then Caldentey and Bonmati both had their attempts saved by England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, and Salma Paralluelo put her effort wide before Kelly won it. Browns QB Kenny Pickett sidelined with hamstring injury in training camp practice
One Cleveland Browns quarterback has suffered an injury amid the four-way battle for the starting job as former first round pick Kenny Pickett is dealing with a hamstring issue. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Pickett "injured his hamstring near the end of Saturday's practice and is expected to re-evaluate the injury later this week." This comes off of a week where Pickett was the first quarterback to take first-team snaps ahead of the likes of Joe Flacco and third round pick Dillon Gabriel. This means that Flacco will likely get the first go at first-team reps, but that Gabriel and fifth round pick Shedeur Sanders will see more opportunities to impress the coaching staff next week. With the Browns' first preseason game right around the corner, on Friday, August 8, these are necessary reps for the young quarterbacks. There is a chance the Browns may not even play the 40-year-old veteran much in the preseason, knowing just about everything they need to know about Flacco. If Pickett's injury lingers, however, the Browns could bring in another camp arm to help eat reps late in preseason games. The Browns acquired Pickett from the Philadelphia Eagles this past spring for Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a fifth round pick.
