Keely Hodgkinson to compete at Alexis Ohanian's Athlos NYC meet in October
Hodgkinson has been recovering from a hamstring issue, and recently withdrew from Saturday's London Diamond League meet – the second delayed start to her season – but her team said the 23-year-old still aims to arrive in Japan in 'peak form'.

'Athlos NYC represents everything I love about our sport: unity, passion, and the pursuit of greatness,' Hodgkinson said. 'I can't wait to line up alongside some of the best in the world to cap off the season.'
Athlos' inaugural edition paid out more than USD 600,000 – the largest-ever purse for a women's track event – with winners taking home USD 60,000 (£44,603), and also featured a give-back initiative in which 10 per cent of ticketing, commercial sponsorship and broadcast revenues were re-distributed to participating athletes.
Last year's event had a purposeful festival feel, featuring a performance from rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion. Unlike the track-only inaugural competition, Athlos' second iteration will also include a field event, long jump, headlined by American Olympic champion Tara Davis-Woodhall.
British 400m record holder Amber Anning, who collected a pair of relay bronzes at the Paris 2024 Olympics and the individual world 400m indoors title in March, has also signed up.

In 2026, Athlos plans to shift from an individual-centred event to a team-based league format.
Ohanian, who is married to 23-time tennis grand slam singles champion Serena Williams, announced in May that he had bought a stake in Women's Super League side Chelsea – reportedly 10 per cent and worth around £20million.
He has also joined the board of the club, telling the BBC he thinks Chelsea's 'queens of global soccer' could become a 'billion-dollar franchise'.
He wrote on X: 'I've bet big on women's sports before – and I'm doing it again.'

Arsenal splashing most cash in Premier League as net spend on transfers revealed – and it doesn't look good for Man Utd
LIVERPOOL may have splashed the most cash by dropping more than £250million on summer signings. But it is Arsenal who have the highest net spend of the transfer window so far. 5 5 And the situation at Old Trafford is rather bleak indeed. Clubs now have less than four weeks to get their business done and dusted for the new season. The transfer window closes for Premier League sides at 7pm on Monday September 1. However, Liverpool wasted no time in getting the bulk of their business done, splashing out £252.2m. The flagship arrival was the £116m record signing of Florian Wirtz. But Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong all moved to Anfield in big-money moves. However, the sales of Luis Diaz, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Nat Phillips mean Liverpool's net spend is £137.7m. But it is Arsenal who boast the highest net spend. Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and now Viktor Gyokeres have all joined the Gunners this summer, with the total spend standing at £192.6m. However, they have only made £6.9m in sales by getting rid of Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos, making their net spend a whopping £185.7m according to Transfermarkt figures. Guehi & Eze to STAY at Palace? Transfer Blow for Liverpool & Arsenal! Chelsea's transfer policy has continued with more than £240m spent on eight new signings - including Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Jorrel Hato and Liam Delap. Manchester City (£153.4m), United (£131.5m) and Tottenham (£127.9m) are the next three biggest spenders so far. And the Red Devils' figure could rise if and when they land a new striker - with alternatives to Benjamin Sesko lined up. Incredibly, though, United have not raised a single pound in player sales yet this summer. But Ruben Amorim's side added around £20m in sell-on clauses after transfers for their former stars Anthony Elanga, Alvaro Carreras and Maxi Oyedele. Crystal Palace and Fulham are the only other clubs yet to receive a transfer fee this summer - spending just £2m and £400,000 respectively. Aston Villa have spent £6m and received £6m to balance the books. While the promoted teams are doing all they can to avoid going back down to the Championship. Sunderland have spent £121.6m and made £36.5m - most of that by selling Jobe Bellingham. Leeds are down £67m after dropping £73.5m on seven new players while Burnley's ten signings have partly been funded by selling James Trafford back to City for £31m. Six clubs have made a profit so far in this window - Brighton, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Brentford and Bournemouth.
