Shotzi is going to be a free agent soon.
The 'Ballsy Badass' made waves last week when she posted an emotional social media promo. During the video, she explained why she gave herself the 'Ballsy' nickname and said that she's evolved into a new form and nothing can shake her.

Following that, many fans speculated that Shotzi had been released by WWE. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select) later confirmed that Shotzi was still under contract. However, her deal is set to expire soon. In a subsequent update, it was noted she 'saw the writing on the wall' and prepared the promo in advance. Despite her WWE tenure coming to an end, Shotzi is said to be optimistic and excited about her future.
When does Shotzi's WWE contract expire?
Now, Shotzi shared more information about her contract status herself. She wrote on Twitter/X (in a since-deleted post) she still has 'a good amount of time on my contract.' She also went on to note that 'come July I will be full time balls to the walls!' Blackheart also shared her booking info and said she's 'ready to dominate.'
'The Ballsy Badass' has been with WWE since November 2019. She debuted as 'Shotzi Blackheart,' the same name she used on the independent scene. Her name was later shortened to the mononym 'Shotzi' when she debuted on the SmackDown roster in 2021.

She spent time on the NXT and SmackDown brands during her tenure. This includes winning the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship once with Ember Moon. She won NXT's Breakout Star of the Year Award in 2020. Her last match on the WWE roster was a loss to Zoey Stark on WWE Speed in February 2025.
WWE has not publicly commented on Shotzi's status with the company.

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A new report has provided an update on the status of Orange Cassidy. The two-time AEW International Champion has been out of action since March. According to Fightful Select, there is currently no concrete timeline for his return. The report confirms the company fears Cassidy has sustained a torn pectoral muscle. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation AEW's Orange Cassidy Sidelined With Significant Injury Due to the nature of the injury, Cassidy will be out of action for a while. While he may be able to make odd appearances, he is not cleared to compete. His last match was in March, where he competed in a four-way against Ricochet, Mark Davis, and Mike Bailey. AEW President Tony Khan later confirmed the injury at the post-AEW Dynasty media scrum. "To lose wrestlers like Orange Cassidy and then Jay White, back-to-back weeks, those are two of the top stars in the company," Khan said at the time. Other AEW Stars Also Out Of Action Cassidy is one of several prominent AEW stars currently on the injured list. The company has been dealing with what Khan called an "injury bug." Other notable names currently out of action include Jay White, Juice Robinson, Buddy Matthews, and Eddie Kingston. There are no definitive return dates for these performers either. Courtesy of AEW Cassidy is one of AEW's most unique and popular stars, known for his "King of Sloth Style" gimmick. His character's lazy, hands-in-pockets demeanor hides explosive athleticism and technical skill, a persona he perfected on the independent circuit before joining AEW in 2019. Initially part of the Best Friends faction, Cassidy's immense popularity quickly propelled him into the main event picture, with major feuds against stars like Chris Jericho and PAC. His biggest accomplishment is being a two-time AEW International Champion. His first reign was particularly memorable, featuring a long series of successful title defenses that became a staple of AEW programming. He is currently on hiatus from the company, recovering from a significant injury he sustained in March 2025. Cassidy has yet to publicly comment on his status or injury. He is someone that AEW could really use these days, but with no other choice, they will have to look to other stars. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
