Huskers offer rising class of 2027 quarterback
Nebraska football extended an offer to class of 2027 quarterback Keegan Croucher over the weekend. He made the announcement on social media.
According to the 247Sports Rankings, Croucher is the 48th-ranked recruit nationally and the sixth-ranked quarterback in the 2027 class.
He has had a storied football career to this point. During the fall of 2023, he threw for 2,957 yards, 31 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He then transferred to Cheshire Academy in April 2024.
The quarterback has offers from the likes of Indiana, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Minnesota, and Michigan. Most recently, he was offered by Michigan State on March 19, prior to being offered by Nebraska.
Currently, the 2027 Nebraska football recruiting class has no commitments in it. However, there are currently four quarterbacks on the roster for the Huskers. The program is also doing its homework on signal-caller Trae Taylor. They seem to want to make quarterback a priority position in the class and are doing their homework.
Croucher could be a difficult quarterback to land, given that so many teams have an interest. It will be interesting to see where the Huskers fall with this recruitment.

Michigan State football came up just short in a recruiting battle of note on Saturday. Three-star offensive lineman Adrian Hamilton announced his commitment to Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon. Michigan State was one of Hamilton's finalists, with Virginia, Pitt and West Virginia also in the mix. Hamilton holds a recruiting rating of 87 on 247Sports, and ranks as the No. 67 interior offensive lineman in 247Sports' rankings for the 2026 class. The Spartans were one of three schools to host Hamilton for an official visit in June, and appeared in a good spot to land his commitment. This is still a prospect we could see Michigan State continue to pursue, especially with Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry entering this season on the hot seat. If things don't go well for him this fall and a move is made, Michigan State would certainly be back in the mix for Hamilton should he reopen his recruitment. MSU hockey receives No. 1 seed in recent NCAA Tournament bracketology post
We are still months away from first puck drop in the college hockey season, but it's never too early to start thinking about the NCAA Tournament. College Puck NXT has released its latest update of the 2025-26 bracketology for the upcoming college hockey season. Michigan State is once again expected to be the in mix, with the Spartans landing as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament bracket projection. Michigan State is the No. 1 seed in the Sioux Falls, S.D. region and paired up with Sacred Heart in the first round. UConn and North Dakota are the other two teams projected to be in the Spartans region. Michigan State was a No. 1 seed in this past year's NCAA Tournament but were upset by Cornell in the first round. The Spartans were also a No. 1 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament but were bounced in the second round by rival Michigan. Although he only spent one year in college, it was enough for the Magic to make him part of the team. On Thursday, the rookie guard signed his first NBA contract with the organization. He played in 36 games, averaging 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists on 49.3% shooting from the field. During that span, Richardson earned Third-team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors. He was also selected to participate in the 2024 Jordan Brand Classic before playing in college. The 19-year-old prospect expressed that it was a dream come true for him to make it in the league. "You always grow up, you want to do this," Richardson said. I mean, the past week, I still haven't been able to sleep because it just still doesn't feel real to me that I got drafted into the NBA." Although it doesn't feel real now, Richardson thinks he'll start to realize that his dream has come true when he plays in Summer League. The youngster is part of the Magic's Summer League roster at Las Vegas. He'll be with his fellow rookie, Noah Penda, who also signed his rookie contract on the same day.
