Gwyneth Paltrow marks her territory with X-rating parking sign at Goop headquarters
Amy Odell, who previously wrote a book about the life of Anna Wintour, is the author of the hotly anticipated new volume Gwyneth: The Biography.
Tidbits from the book have already gone viral, from the moment she decided to leave her 'dorky' first husband Chris Martin, to the collapse of her relationships with her fellow movie stars Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.
Now, in an interview promoting the project, Amy has observed that Gwyneth is 'someone who has monetized her sexuality and her sex life.'
She pointed out that the Oscar winner 'sold a candle called "This Smells Like My Vagina," and she's talked really frankly about getting [oral sex] lessons,' to Page Six.
'She can be really bawdy, very funny and cutting,' said Amy. 'Particularly early in her public life, people said she could just be really different when the cameras were off.'
Since its launch in 2008, Goop has become known for advice ranging from the idiosyncratic to the bizarre, exhorting women to steam clean their vaginas and theorizing about a 'Link Between Underwire Bras And Breast Cancer.'
However the brand has been constantly expanding ever since, and five years ago it even sprouted its own Netflix series The Goop Lab.
Gwyneth hit headlines around the world at the dawn of 2020 for releasing a $75 candle on Goop called This Smells Like My Vagina.
The product, which rapidly sold out, was marketed as smelling of 'geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed.'
Her vagina candle was such a runaway success that Gwyneth followed it up with another $75 candle, this one supposedly with the aroma of her orgasm.
Goop lists 'tart grapefruit, neroli, and ripe cassis berries blended with gunpowder tea and Turkish rose absolute' as the components of the scent.
To mark the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade in January 2022, Gwyneth released yet another Goop candle called Hands Off My Vagina.
The limited edition candle cost $75, with $25 of each sale going to the Reproductive Freedom Project of the ACLU Foundation, according to Goop.
Months later, the Supreme Court handed the authority to set abortion law back to the states by overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling that had guaranteed abortion rights nationwide for nearly half a century.
Gwyneth also teamed up with Kourtney Kardashian on a candle called This Smells Like My Pooshy, a play on Kourtney's own lifestyle brand Poosh.
A couple of years ago, Gwyneth revealed on Rob Lowe's podcast that when she was 18 years old, his wife Sheryl Berkoff taught her 'how to give a b***job.'
Rob has since remarked that Sheryl, a makeup artist, had became 'like a big sister' to Gwyneth after working for the latter's mother Blythe Danner.
When the subject of the oral sex lessons came up on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rob joked: 'Chris Martin and Brad Falchuk, you're welcome!'

Top WWE SummerSlam match at risk with top star 'blocked from entering US'
A major WWE match announced for SummerSlam 2025 is in serious jeopardy after a top superstar wasn't allowed to travel back to the United States. On the first night of the August 2 and 3 double header, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul are set to face Randy Orton and Grammy Award-winning singer Jelly Roll in a tag team match. McIntyre, known as the Scottish Warrior, has been back in the UK for a friend's wedding in England over the weekend, but he's now claimed he was stopped from boarding his flight back to the US where he has lived for a number of years. 'There's now a good chance I don't make #SummerSlam,' he captioned a video on X as he talking into his phone camera from a field. 'It's quite a week I've had. You wanna know how it's been capped off? i can't get back into America, They wouldn't let me board my flight,' he said in the video. 'I'm in England still, at my buddy's wedding – what a wedding it was. Planning to go back, train for SummerSlam, but no, no, no, no, I got blocked. **Warning – the below video includes strong language** 'Wife and I walked up to the gate, trying to check in, always goes perfectly fine. Not this time.' McIntyre noted that there was an issue with his documentation, despite never having a problem any of the other times he's been travelling. He continued: ''Drew, you don't have your US passport. I know who you are. I know you've lived there for a long time, I know you're showing me pictures of your US passport, and your global entry. ''I know exactly who you are, your property and the likes. But no, we can't let you in the country buddy. 'So my wife and I panic, we say we've got a sick animal at home, we're good people, we care about our animals, we care about people. In the end, his wife travelled back alone 'against her will' to see their pet cat, while McIntyre had to turn around and leave the airport. Ever the professional, the former world champion used the real life incident to continue his on-screen feud with Jelly Roll. 'Here I am. So what happened, what changed this trip? Jelly Roll. You know somebody, got some connections? You've got your 15 minutes of fame right now, can get away with some stuff? You're hot, soon you will not be, so you're getting it in when you can,' he quipped. 'You realised when I took off my shirt on SmackDown, you went , 'Oh my God! All that aura, I'm screwed!' So you screw up my training for SummerSlam week. More Trending 'Why am I in a field? I don't know what I'm in a field but I can tell you one thing! When this is all over, I'm gonna get back, and I'm gonna drop you Jelly Roll. 'I'm gonna make you pay. And eventually, you're gonna gain all that weight back and you're gonna look like one of these f***ers.' It remains to be seen whether McIntyre will make it back by the the weekend, or if a replacement will need to be found for the match. Amusement park ride stops in mid-air leaving thrill seekers dangling in terror
Shocking footage captures an amusement park ride stopped in mid-air, leaving riders dangling high above the ground. The Sol Spin ride at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, suddenly malfunctioned Saturday afternoon as it was rotating 360 degrees. Video from the Citizen App showed about 20 riders stuck in mid-air, with many screaming, some swinging their legs, and others leaning sideways on one of the ride's six arms. "The safety of our guests is a top priority. Today the ride did not complete a full cycle as a safety precaution. The ride was stopped for approximately five minutes,' Knott's Berry Farm said in a statement to ABC7. The ride then reopened after 'a full safety inspection,' the statement continued. The Independent has reached out to the amusement park for more information. 'This thrilling ride is one for the brave,' Knott's Farm says of Sol Spin. It rotates riders in three directions simultaneously, according to the park's website. 'Sol Spin sends guests on a thrilling adventure over six stories high as they rotate in all directions on one of six spinning arms. Each arm rotates 360-degrees independent of one another providing a different experience every ride,' the website states. Social media users replied to videos of the harrowing incident, calling it a 'nightmare.' One X user remarked: 'Oh. Hell. No. One of my worst fears unlocked.' 'What a nightmare!' another said. Another recalled a similar incident last year, put it succinctly: 'Again.' Last November, the same ride left 22 people suspended in the air for two hours due to 'technical difficulties,' a spokesperson for the amusement park said at the time. Some riders left the thrill ride in wheelchairs while two female guests were taken to the hospital for further evaluation "out of an abundance of caution,' the spokesperson said in November. The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health then inspected the ride, KTLA reported.
