New Pixel Watch 4 leak details even more hardware upgrades ahead of next month's launch

TL;DR The Pixel Watch 4 is said to feature a Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 chip.
Both models are expected to have a new co-processor called the M55.
For the first time, the smartwatch may feature side charging.
Google confirmed today that it will hold its hardware event on August 20. The showcase should include its Pixel phones, watches, earbuds, and more. Coincidentally, a new leak about the Pixel Watch 4 also arrived today. This leak reveals what could be the specs for both the 41mm and 45mm models.
Just in time for Google's announcement, Android Headlines has shared the specs for the Pixel Watch 4. According to the report, Google's next smartwatch will have the same processor as its predecessor — the Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1. While the chip is staying the same, the company is at least upgrading the battery (which we mentioned in our own report) and making the display brighter. Additionally, it's said to have a new co-processor that Google calls M55. The outlet mentions that the M55 will allow the Pixel Watch 4 to handle five times the 'AI workload at a fraction of the power.'
Pixel Watch 4 (41mm) Display: 3,000nits peak brightness, 320 ppi AMOLED LTPO, 1-60Hz

The larger battery Google has fit into the 41mm model is said to provide 30 hours of battery life with always-on display turned on. If you turn on battery saver, it looks like you'll get 48 hours. Meanwhile, the 45mm model offers 40 hours with always-on display, and 72 hours in battery saver mode.
While the co-processor is a new addition, it won't be the only new thing coming to the Pixel Watch line. The report mentions that the smartwatch will feature side charging, which is something that has been absent on previous models. So you'll be able to charge your device while it's on its side.
Like any smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 4 will have a range of sensors. These sensors will reportedly include: Compass
Red and infrared sensors for SpO2 monitoring
Multipurpose electrical sensors (compatible with ECG app)
Multi-path optical heart rate sensor
Altimeter
Gyroscope
3-axis accelerometer
Ambient light sensor
Barometer
Magnatometer
Ultrawideband
When the Pixel Watch 4 launches next month, it's expected to be available in five colors. An earlier leak revealed that these colors could be Black/Obsidian, Gold/Lemon, Moonstone, Silver/Iris, and Silver/Porcelain.

Why Workiva Stock Rocketed More Than 31% Higher Today

Key Points The company blew past analyst estimates for profitability, and also beat the consensus for revenue. Going forward, it's expecting double-digit improvements on both the top and bottom lines. 10 stocks we like better than Workiva › It's not every day that a stock rises by over 30% in a single session. Enterprise software developer Workiva (NYSE: WK) achieved that feat on Friday, with its share price zooming 32% higher on the day thanks to an extremely well-received quarterly earnings report. That rise was all the more impressive given that it was generally a down day for stocks, with the S&P 500 index closing 1.6% underwater. Meaty growth figures in the second quarter Workiva's revenue for its second quarter was $215 million, representing a sturdy 21% improvement over the same period of 2024. That number was also notably higher than the average analyst estimate of under $209 million. The bulk of this take was from subscription and support revenue, which climbed 23% higher to $198 million. The company also blew past the consensus pundit expectation for non-GAAP (adjusted) net income. That line item rang in at $11 million ($0.19 per share), for a 22% increase over the year-ago result. Analysts had collectively been anticipating only $0.05 per share. Workiva said that its solutions keep resonating with the customer base. In a statement, CEO Julie Iskow said there was "continued demand for our broad portfolio of solutions and unified platform." A double beat on guidance, too If Workiva's guidance is any indication, the company is going to continue marching down that high-growth path. It is modeling revenue of $870 million to $873 million, which tops the consensus analyst estimate of slightly over $866 million. It's also at least 18% above the actual, full-year 2024 result. As for adjusted profitability, Workiva's forecast for the entirety of 2025 is $1.31 to $1.38 per share. Borderlands 4 boss confirms "there will be a download, even for physical copies" on Switch 2, which will "mostly" run at 30 FPS "with some dips"

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford revealed today that Borderlands 4 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 3, and in the wake of that news, he's also confirmed a few other details of interest. Responding to fan inquiries from his weird little video announcing Borderlands 4's Switch 2 release date, Pitchford seemingly confirmed the physical version will be on a game-key card instead of an actual cartridge. "It's a big game," he said. "There will be a download, even for physical copies." Big publishers including Square Enix and Capcom have opted for game-key cards instead of traditional game cartridges in some Switch 2 releases, and it sounds like Gearbox is hopping on the controversial trend away from old-school physical media. Pitchford previously said Borderlands 4 was targeting 60 FPS on Switch 2, but it seems now that we're closer to release that's become less feasible. "It was important to us to not cut anything and to support cross play with other platforms," he said in a reply to another fan. "So, no. It'll be mostly around 30 fps, with some dips in some intense moments heavy combats or if hosting a multiplayer game in handheld mode, etc." Finally, Pitchford touched on another fairly controversial topic: Borderlands 3's performance on Switch 2, which has been widely criticized from day one. "Borderlands 3 was not made for Switch 2," Pitchford said. "I want us to get on that and see what we can do. We need some help and we need some time. Borderlands 4 is everything right now." I suppose, considering the apparent confirmation of Borderlands 4 Switch 2 game-key cards and the new 30 FPS expectation, the fact that Pitchford seemingly committed to improving Borderlands 3 performance on Switch 2 is something of a silver lining. Though, it's also pretty understandable that Borderlands 4 is the studio's priority at the moment. Randy Pitchford tells Borderlands 4 fans to "quit clutching your pearls" after teasing they may "never see any" of the game's collectible bobbleheads while simultaneously revealing a full map of them
