Emmerdale confirms another death as killer John strikes again
In fact what he'd rather do would be to save lives all day long and bask in the admiration of others. Unfortunately, with one mess rapidly leading to another, he's ended up having blood on his hands on numerous occasions – and he's about to add another victim to the list.
Since the body of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) was found in the lake, John has been pained to see various villagers accusing each other of Nate's murder, because he knows he was the one responsible after accidentally killing Nate while trying to save his life after the barn fire.
Nate's widow, Tracy (Amy Walsh), immediately blamed Cain (Jeff Hordley), who had beaten his son up shortly before Nate disappeared because he thought something was going on between him and Moira (Natalie J Robb).
Cain blamed Tracy, and this seemed to have been confirmed when Nate's phone was found at Tracy's house, having been used during Nate's absence when Cain thought he was ringing his son. John had had the phone all along and planted it at Tracy's.
As Nate's funeral looms in coming episodes, John is wracked with guilt that the two people who loved Nate the most are being torn apart by accusations and recriminations.
So when an opportunity presents itself to put someone altogether different in the frame for the murder, John decides he can fix things, John style. By killing someone else.
He's surprised when a man called Owen comes for an appointment with him at the surgery, because Owen is none other than the man John caught spiking Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley)'s drink. He throws Owen out of the surgery and this is witnessed by Robert, who thanks him for standing up for him – though Robert is still obviously wary of John generally.
Later, Liam (Jonny McPherson) makes a house call to Owen, but he can't get an answer. Concerned for his patient's wellbeing, he calls the police, who break into the house and find Owen dead. More Trending
And on the dead man's laptop is a written confession, saying that Owen was responsible for murdering Nate Robinson.

Cain and Tracy are soon informed of this development, and Liam gives the news to John back at the surgery. John manages to look suitably shocked, but is inwardly pleased that his plan has worked.
But has it? One man who isn't taken in by this turn of events is Robert Sugden, who is suspicious about the coincidence that he saw John with Owen earlier. When the police start digging into Owen's background by investigating his medical history, Robert tries to find out more and Claudette (Flo Wilson) lets slip that John visited Owen's house shortly before his death.

BBC star leading the race to replace John Torode after MasterChef racism row
MasterChef host, John Torode, has confirmed he is the person alleged to have used racist language after an investigation into the behaviour of his former co-star, Gregg Wallace A popular BBC star has emerged as the front runner to replace John Torode on MasterChef, according to reports. In bombshell news, John, who has hosted the show for nearly 20 years, confirmed yesterday he is the person alleged to have used racist language after an investigation into the behaviour of his former co-star, Gregg Wallace. Gregg, 60, who has also presented MasterChef since it started in 2005, has now been sacked from the show after an inquiry for production company, Banijay, revealed that 45 out of 83 accusations against the father of three were corroborated. The report also brought to light two separate claims implicating others, with one involving racist remarks. Aussie star John, 59, has reportedly been asked to step down from his long-running role on the show after an historic accusation of racism, which he has no memory of and denies ever happened. With the show's future firmly up in the air, food critic Grace Dent has already led the celebrity version of the show and is a favourite to present the amateur version too. However, Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt is also being lined up. It's believed he has already landed the job fronting MasterChef: The Professionals. A TV insider told The Sun: 'Both Grace and Matt are well thought of at the Beeb and the one thing they want in the wake of the show's recent crisis is familiarity and safety. 'They're also conscious that having a male and female pairing is a welcome break from it being fronted by two blokes.' Matt was coy about presenting MasterChef back in March when Gregg has stepped down from the role. When asked about hosting the show with John, s peaking to Muddy Stilettos , he said: 'Well, there's always rumours, but it would be a great gig for sure!' It's been reported that the BBC and production company Banijay asked John to resign and cite mental issues as the reason last week - which he reportedly refused to do. The Mirror has contacted the BBC and representatives for Torode for comment on this claim. On Instagram, the chef, who is married to actress, Lisa Faulkner, disclosed he is the accused individual regarding the alleged racist remark, but professed "no recollection of the incident" and expressed being "shocked and saddened". His Instagram statement read: "Following publication of the Executive Summary of the investigation into Gregg Wallace while working on MasterChef, I am aware of speculation that I am one of the two other individuals against whom an allegation has been upheld. For the sake of transparency, I confirm that I am the individual who is alleged to have used racial language on one occasion. "The allegation is that I did so sometime in 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and that the person I was speaking with did not believe that it was intended in a malicious way and that I apologised immediately afterwards. "I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened. However, I want to be clear that I've always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. I'm shocked and saddened by the allegation as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence."

Hollyoaks fans 'work out' identity of Grace's secret son - and he's already on soap
There was a major twist on Hollyoaks this week, as we found out Grace Black had a secret child. In a conversation with her sister Clare Devine it was revealed Grace had another child, referred to as her "firstborn" Clare was heard telling her sibling that she would "never know the truth" if she dared to report their dodgy dealings to the police. The rest of this article contains spoilers and details from Tuesday's episode which can be streamed now on Channel 4, and will be on E4 at 7PM Tuesday evening. As the latest episode played out, it emerged both characters were pregnant at the same time, years ago when they were young. Their villainous and controlling dad Fraser Black wasn't happy with their life choices, and didn't want them to have their children. So much so that in a cruel twist it appears Fraser caused Clare to lose her unborn child. Grace said Clare had fallen down the stairs, but she made it clear this wasn't the true events. Then when Grace went into labour, Clare helped deliver her baby but they were not breathing. As Clare raced off to get help she handed her dad the baby, who suddenly began crying. But instead of giving the child to their mother, Grace, Fraser handed the baby to a mystery person who fled. EastEnders spoilers: Teen baby shock, Max's return plot 'sealed' and new Queen Vic owner Grace never saw her child again, adding she had spent her life blocking out the loss. But now she was desperate for answers and wanted to know where her mystery child was. It wasn't specified when exactly this happened and when the baby was born, with this possibly giving away who the child is if it turns out to be a known character. Fans are already sure they have worked out their identity after a clue in the episode. As Clare and Grace spoke about the past, Clare claimed she had no information about the child or where they were, but she did vow to help her sister. It soon became very apparent that Clare knew more than she was letting on though, and something she said and then did gave away she likely knows exactly who the child is. After telling Grace she'd do whatever it takes to help her locate her child, Grace left the room. It's then that we heard Clare saying: "You never know, they could be just around the corner." In this exact moment, the camera panned to Robbie Roscoe who was being locked away in an allotment shed by serial killer Jez Blake. For Clare to say they could be close by and the camera to pan to Robbie in that exact moment has to be intentional. So is this confirmation Robbie is Grace's secret son? It would need quite the explanation given Robbie is a twin and the son of Sandy Roscoe. Sandy was with Fraser years ago, but long after Grace's pregnancy. Clare has a birth certificate of the child which doesn't state the father's name, and the date of birth and name of the child are crossed out. Other fans are now wondering if Clare and Grace's brother Rex could in fact be the secret son of Grace. Taking to social media one fan said: "Robbie is Grace's son," as another said: "I would of never guessed Robbie as her son. Love it." Another fan commented: "Maybe Fraser gave Robbie to Sandy and she brought them up as twins." As for Rex, one fan said: "I reckon Rex is her son," as another agreed: "More than likely Rex." A third fan added: "Rex is her son not her brother." Hollyoaks is available to stream on Channel 4's streaming service now, while it also airs Mondays to Wednesdays on E4 at 7PM. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Threads.
