Hollyoaks fans 'work out' identity of Grace's secret son - and he's already on soap

Daily Mirror13 hours ago
There was a major twist on Hollyoaks this week, as we found out Grace Black had a secret child.
In a conversation with her sister Clare Devine it was revealed Grace had another child, referred to as her "firstborn" Clare was heard telling her sibling that she would "never know the truth" if she dared to report their dodgy dealings to the police.
The rest of this article contains spoilers and details from Tuesday's episode which can be streamed now on Channel 4, and will be on E4 at 7PM Tuesday evening. As the latest episode played out, it emerged both characters were pregnant at the same time, years ago when they were young.
Their villainous and controlling dad Fraser Black wasn't happy with their life choices, and didn't want them to have their children. So much so that in a cruel twist it appears Fraser caused Clare to lose her unborn child.
Grace said Clare had fallen down the stairs, but she made it clear this wasn't the true events. Then when Grace went into labour, Clare helped deliver her baby but they were not breathing.
As Clare raced off to get help she handed her dad the baby, who suddenly began crying. But instead of giving the child to their mother, Grace, Fraser handed the baby to a mystery person who fled.

Grace never saw her child again, adding she had spent her life blocking out the loss. But now she was desperate for answers and wanted to know where her mystery child was.
It wasn't specified when exactly this happened and when the baby was born, with this possibly giving away who the child is if it turns out to be a known character. Fans are already sure they have worked out their identity after a clue in the episode.
As Clare and Grace spoke about the past, Clare claimed she had no information about the child or where they were, but she did vow to help her sister. It soon became very apparent that Clare knew more than she was letting on though, and something she said and then did gave away she likely knows exactly who the child is.
After telling Grace she'd do whatever it takes to help her locate her child, Grace left the room. It's then that we heard Clare saying: "You never know, they could be just around the corner."
In this exact moment, the camera panned to Robbie Roscoe who was being locked away in an allotment shed by serial killer Jez Blake. For Clare to say they could be close by and the camera to pan to Robbie in that exact moment has to be intentional.
So is this confirmation Robbie is Grace's secret son? It would need quite the explanation given Robbie is a twin and the son of Sandy Roscoe. Sandy was with Fraser years ago, but long after Grace's pregnancy.
Clare has a birth certificate of the child which doesn't state the father's name, and the date of birth and name of the child are crossed out. Other fans are now wondering if Clare and Grace's brother Rex could in fact be the secret son of Grace.
Taking to social media one fan said: "Robbie is Grace's son," as another said: "I would of never guessed Robbie as her son. Love it." Another fan commented: "Maybe Fraser gave Robbie to Sandy and she brought them up as twins."
As for Rex, one fan said: "I reckon Rex is her son," as another agreed: "More than likely Rex." A third fan added: "Rex is her son not her brother."
Hollyoaks is available to stream on Channel 4's streaming service now, while it also airs Mondays to Wednesdays on E4 at 7PM. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Threads.

Celebrity Bake Off 'signs up iconic British girlband star as she joins A-list line-up'

Celebrity Bake Off is heating up – and an iconic British girlband star is reportedly set to join a slew of A-listers in the tent. The next series, set to air in 2026, will see Sugababes star Mutya Buena, 40, take part in the Channel 4 show to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, according to The Sun. A TV insider told the publication: 'Mutya will be seeing if she can get a handshake from Paul Hollywood when she goes into the tent. 'She doesn't consider herself much of a baker, but it's for charity and there are bound to be some.' MailOnline has contacted Channel 4 and Mutya's representative for comment. Mutya will be hoping to find her footing in the kitchen after her Celebrity MasterChef appearance last year, where she struggled with a cheesecake challenge. She famously created a buttery biscuit base that was so thick you could have used it to wedge open a door. Despite crashing out of the competition, the singer said she was proud of her progress. She said: 'I wanted to do Celebrity MasterChef because I enjoy cooking in general and I love cooking for my family and friends. 'I wanted to learn some new things in the kitchen, some new tricks that I could bring home.' The upcoming Stand Up To Cancer special is already shaping up to be a star-studded affair. Hollywood actress Ambika Mod, 29, who rose to fame in This Is Going To Hurt and more recently starred in One Day, will also reportedly be stepping into the tent alongside Geordie Shore favourite Vicky Pattison, 37. Also joining the line-up are comedian Babatunde Aleshe, 38, Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, 26, and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant JoJo Siwa, 22. They'll be joined by RAG 'N' Bone Man, 40, broadcaster Edith Bowman, 51, and 8 Out of 10 Cats regular Jon Richardson, 42 – all ready to be judged by Cherish Finden and Paul Hollywood in the iconic Bake Off tent. The news of Mutya's appearance comes after Prue Leith, 85, announced she was stepping away from all Great British Bake Off specials earlier this year (L-R Paul, Prue, Noel, and Alison pictured last year) The news of Mutya's appearance comes after Prue Leith, 85, announced earlier this year that she would be stepping away from all Great British Bake Off specials. Her place was temporarily filled by food writer Caroline Waldegrave, 72, during the most recent celebrity series. Prue confirmed the news on This Morning, explaining she will continue on the main show alongside Paul, 59, but will no longer appear on spin-offs.

However, in a further blow, Steph has now admitted that she misses the friendships she once had with her fellow cast members. Speaking on the latest episode of the Secure The Insecure podcast, she said: "I did feel the quiet from the family that I once knew on the show. "No one's picking up the phone. No one's checking in. "Everyone's just getting on with their life. "When you're in that Hollyoaks bubble and they call it a family - I feel you're only family when you're in it." Steph - who didn't name any of co-stars in particular - added: "You pour your heart out to these people and then you go and it's like it never happened. "Where did that friendship go? There's only a couple of people I'm in contact with." Last month, Steph opened up about her heartbreaking reaction on the day bosses told her she would no longer be on Hollyoaks. "There were two people there for the meeting: the newly appointed executive producer – a stalwart behind the scenes in various roles for years – and the long-standing head of production, who I'd known since I began on the show back in 1996. 'They asked me to sit. They explained that they'd be reading a scripted statement. As I listened, I could barely process what was being said. I was just waiting for the words I longed to hear: 'And therefore, we'd like Cindy to stay.' 'But as the statement neared its close, before the final words were even spoken, I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I was shaking as I looked at the two of them. 5 Stephanie revealed her true reaction after being let go from Hollyoaks Credit: Instagram 5 The star was on Hollyoaks from the very first episode Credit: Channel 4 'Then it happened. 'And with that said, we will be losing Cindy from the show. I'm so sorry, Steph.' The world stopped for a second as I replayed those words in my head. Then… I lost my s***. ''What? No! You mean you're not taking me to the 30th?' I blurted out, referencing the upcoming anniversary of the show – a milestone that meant so much to the long-standing cast. ''I don't understand. No, I don't understand. I don't understand!' I was frantic. 'But I've been so loyal. Please, no. This is my life. I love my job – please, no!' 'Hysterically crying, I repeated myself, hoping one of them would see my distress and take it all back. Had they made a mistake? My world felt like it was imploding. Through my tears, I demanded to know, 'How am I on that list? Cindy is an original! I'm the longest-serving female character. I was the first person to give birth on the show.' 'I was clutching at anything, anything at all, to make them realise their mistake. How? Why was I the only original being cut? I couldn't understand. It felt so cold. I could see the distress I was causing them.' She fled the room and was found by her co-stars Jennifer Metcalfe and Kirsty Leigh Porter who supported her before she could go home to husband Tom. Stephanie also revealed how her agent had become determined to get soap bosses to reverse their decision - but in the end the actress herself decided she didn't want to stay. Since her Hollyoaks exit Steph has reinvented herself as a life coach.
