
Alvin Kamara throws out first pitch at Wrigley Field
Ahead of Saturday's National League matchup, former Tennessee and current New Orleans running back Alvin Kamara threw out a ceremonial first pitch.
Kamara played for the Vols from 2015-16 under head coach Butch Jones. He transferred to Tennessee from Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas. The former Vol also transferred to Hutchinson Community College from Alabama.
Kamara was a third-round selection by the Saints in the 2017 NFL draft (No. 67 overall). He was named 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time second-team All-Pro.
In eight seasons with the Saints since 2017, Kamara has recorded 6,779 rushing yards, 60 rushing touchdowns, 4,762 receiving yards, 25 receiving touchdowns, 517 kick return yards and one kick return touchdown.
