NYC ballet lovers yell ‘f–k you' at climate change protester who disrupted Lincoln Center performance

New York Post23-04-2025
Climate activists disrupted a ballet performance at Lincoln Center on Earth Day — prompting well-heeled attendees to shout at them to 'Shut the f—k up' and get out of the theater, video shows.
One of the eco-protesters made her way inside the David H. Koch Theater Tuesday evening, during the the launch of the acclaimed ballet's spring season.
'It is Earth Day and we are in climate emergency!' she bellowed, just as the third of four George Balanchine ballets on the program, Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux, was beginning.
'Our country has become a Fascist regime and we are enjoying this beauty.'
4 'How will you dance when you're dying of dehydration?' one of the protesters yelled as a security guard tried to grab his sign.

Some attendees didn't take well to the disruption, snapping back, 'Shut the f–k up,' 'f–k you' and 'stop being morons,' according to the video.
The curtain then came down and an announcement aired: 'Due to an issue in the house, we need to pause the performance. We are attempting to resolve this issue.'
Front of house staff escorted the protester out of the theater, as cheers and jeers erupted in the audience.
About five more minutes passed before the ballet restarted from the beginning and the performance continued without further interruption, the New York City Ballet said.
Earlier, as attendees filed into the theater,
two demonstrators with the Extinction Rebellion activist group stood outside, holding signs with the messages, 'No Billionaire Ballet on Earth Day' and '4°C 1 Billion Dead.'
'How will you dance when you're dying of dehydration?' one of the demonstrators yelled as security workers tried to pry the sign from his hands, according to video posted on X.
'How will you dance when you can't even afford decent groceries? How will you dance when they're scheming people out of their homes?'
The NYPD said two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 50s, were taken into custody during the demonstration outside Lincoln Center just before 8 p.m. They were released with summonses.
4 The protesters gathered as the first night of the New York City Ballet's spring season fell on Earth Day.

4 A woman stood on the balcony level of the theater as she yelled, 'It is Earth Day and we are in climate emergency!'

'Our action today is not about drawing attention; it's about demanding accountability and leadership from all sectors of society,' one of the Extinction Rebellion demonstrators said in a statement. 'Cultural institutions hold significant influence, and their silence is deafening in the face of this crisis.'
The demonstration marked the third brazen act of the day for the group.
4 The woman was escorted out of theater to cheers and jeers.

Members of the group spray-painted the Wall Street Charging Bull — before wiping away their graffiti as cops looked on Tuesday morning.
They later sprayed graffiti on the windows of Tesla's Meatpacking District showroom — which landed two of them in cuffs, authorities said.
And on Wednesday, a climate protester was busted after he spray painted the word 'USA' over a presidential insignia inside Trump Tower, according to law enforcement sources and video from the scene.
The man sprayed the bright green paint over the plaque inside the Midtown landmark before kneeling on the ground in front of it and closing his eyes, according to footage posted on X.
Moments after a small crowd gathered — some snapping photos of the demonstrator — a security officer approached, and the man unfurled a small banner bearing the words, 'GAME OVER' with the symbol for the climate activist group Extinction Rebellion.

Climate activists demand end to US Navy's 'Blue Angels' airshow in Seattle

Seattle climate activists are protesting an upcoming U.S. Navy Blue Angels airshow, claiming the jets pollute the environment, while a local woman filed a lawsuit on Monday claiming the military jets traumatized her ailing cat. The Blue Angels, the elite military aviation stunt team consisting of 140 active-duty Sailors and Marines, aims to "showcase the excitement, precision, and power of naval aviation" with their performances, now in their 79th year, the Blue Angels website says. The squadron has been performing at Seattle's Seafair festival since 1972. The Airshow Climate Action Coalition put up a billboard in Seattle this week declaring, "Say No to Blue Angels." The coalition, made up of members from local climate groups as well as the radical global climate group, Extinction Rebellion, is planning to march and hold a rally on August 2 in protest of the Blue Angels airshow that weekend. The billboard depicts people with hands over their ears and others raising their fists in protest of the jets, which they wrote cause "war trauma" and pollution. At the billboard's unveiling on Tuesday, protesters held signs reading "Demilitarize Seafair" and "No military airshows." The climate activists are calling for military fighter jets to be excluded from participating in the annual event and demanding military airshows be scrutinized for their "harmful waste of resources, pollution and carbon emissions." Aedan McCall, who designed the billboard, lived on Mercer Island for over 10 years before leaving because of the effects from the show. "The sheer amount of carbon emissions the Blue Angels create - 670 tons in one weekend - is immense and wasteful on top of being a big display of U.S. militarism, McCall told The Seattle Times. Community organizer Kimberly Larson crafted a petition calling for the end of the Blue Angels show, which has garnered over 5,000 signatures. The Blue Angels are also facing criticism from a Seattle woman who blames the noisy airshow for leading to the death of her sickly, elderly cat. Lauren Ann Lombardi filed a lawsuit against Blue Angels officers in federal court on Monday, claiming her "beloved family member was terrorized" by the Blue Angels' "state-sanctioned acoustic torture." The lawsuit claims the noise of the low-flying F/A-18 fighter jets spurred panic attacks in the cat, who was in critical condition due to her worsening congestive heart disease, and ultimately led to her euthanasia in August 2024. Lombardi accused the Blue Angels of unconstitutionally blocking her profanity-laced comments criticizing the U.S. Navy squadron on its Instagram page. She is seeking a court order to unblock her account and prohibit the Blue Angels from blocking any other accounts "on the basis of viewpoint." The Blue Angels did not return Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Self-Described Fascist Begs for Donations After Claiming Viral Debate Got Him Fired

A man who admitted to being a fascist during a debate claims he's been fired from his job after sharing his 'traditional' right-wing political views, and is now asking for handouts. The man, who identifies himself as 'Connor' in a fundraiser asking for donations but uses the pseudonym Pinesap, was one of '20 far-right conservatives' who debated progressive broadcaster Mehdi Hasan as part of Jubilee's 'Surrounded' series. During the debate—which has been viewed almost 4 million times on YouTube alone—Connor said he believes in 'autocracy' and was asked by Hasan if he's a fan of the Nazis. 'I, frankly, don't care being called a Nazi at all,' Connor answered. Connor, who identified himself as a Catholic, also complained that the Nazis 'persecuted the church a little bit.' Asked about the Nazis' persecution of Jews specifically, Connor added: 'I certainly don't support anyone's human dignity being assaulted.' 'There was a little bit of persecution and stuff like that, which is bad,' he added, when Hasan pressed him on Jewish persecution again. 'We may have to rename this show,' Hasan said, 'Because you're a little bit more than a far-right Republican.' 'Hey, what can I say?' Connor replied with a smile. When Hasan suggested Connor could describe himself as a 'fascist,' Connor said: 'Yeah, I am,' before laughing maniacally and receiving applause from others in the debate. Connor now claims he was fired for his views and has launched a fundraising page on GiveSendGo, a Christian crowdfunding site which has faced criticism for hosting extremist causes. 'I'm raising money as an emergency fund and for other expenses while I look for a new job,' the page reads, without providing details of the role or company he was supposedly fired from. 'Unfortunately, voicing fully legal traditional right-wing political views results in real consequences. This is cancel culture and political discrimination on full display.' The page has already blown past its original $15,000 goal, with contributions hitting just under $20,000 as of Tuesday morning. 'We need a white nation! It's our only future! Vive le Fascisme,' one donor wrote while contributing $88. The number 88 is a coded far-right symbol used by neo-Nazis and white supremacists, which stands for 'Heil Hitler' as H is the eighth letter of the alphabet. 'We are rising and must look after one another,' another anonymous donor posted while chipping in $15. Connor discussed getting fired, without naming the company or his job title, during an appearance on the Rift Report podcast on Monday. 'Well, unfortunately, I lost my job as a result. And no one really is to blame for that,' he said of the debate. 'It's just the culture that kind of exists currently surrounding the manner in which you're canceled for voicing [...] any heterosexual, Christian, sort of moral belief that goes beyond sort of the secularism and the relativism that we're so used to in our time.' Connor did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Beast. Solve the daily Crossword

Hunter Biden Blasts George Clooney Over Joe Biden Criticisms: ‘What Right Do You Have'

Hunter Biden ripped George Clooney and several other prominent left-leaning critics of his father, former President Joe Biden, in a scathing rant on Monday. The younger Biden, during an interview on the 'Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan' YouTube show, blasted Clooney, CNN anchor Jake Tapper, Democratic strategists David Axelrod and James Carville and the four hosts of 'Pod Save America.' What do you have to do with f–king anything? Why do I have to f–king listen to you?' Hunter Biden said about Clooney. 'What right do you have to step on a man who's given 52 years of his f–king life to the service of this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out, basically, a full page ad in the f–king New York Times [to criticize Joe Biden].' He was, of course, referring to Clooney's 2024 op-ed in the Times titled 'I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee,' in which the actor urged Democrats to replace the former president as their 2024 candidate. Clooney, in his story, said President Biden's disastrous performance during a debate against Donald Trump last June was not an anomaly, but rather indicative of the cognitive decline he was showing behind-the-scenes to fundraisers and advisors. A moment earlier, the younger Biden said Clooney was a guy known having 'a really great place in Lake Como' and for being 'great friends with Barack Obama' — but not for being a political junkie. Hunter Biden just went off on the Democratic Party:"Fuck him and everybody around him… George Clooney is not a fucking an actor. He's a brand.""James Carville hasn't won a race in 40 fucking years.""David Axelrod had one success in his political life and that was Barack… — Greg Price (@greg_price11) July 21, 2025 Hunter Biden then skewered several others who have been critical of his father, including Tapper, who recently co-authored 'Original Sin,' a book looking at Biden's cognitive decline while in office. Tapper, during a media tour for the book in May, said there was 'not enough' coverage of President Biden's cognitive decline, including from himself. The CNN star's ratings took a noticeable hit while he was promoting his book alongside Alex Thompson — something the younger Biden pointed out on Monday. 'Who's Jake Tapper's audience?' Biden asked Callaghan, who laughed and said 'my mom, or something.' 'I don't even think it's your mom anymore, by the numbers,' Hunter Biden continued. 'What influences Jake Tapper have over anything? He has the smallest audience on cable news … his ratings just went to sh-t after he put the book out. You know, they did a two-week infomercial for it. I mean, it was such a money grab.' Hunter Biden also mocked Carville, who helped Bill Clinton win the 1992 election, as someone who has not won a race in '40 f–king years' and Axelrod as someone who was riding the coattails of Obama to political relevancy. He also blasted the left-leaning 'Pod Save America' quartet for being a bunch of 'junior f–king speech writers' for Obama who were 'dining out' on their relationship with the former president.
