Mississauga man arrested in Toronto following shooting in Kanata
Police say they received several 9-1-1 calls reporting gunshots on Castlefrank Road near Hazeldean Road at around 4 p.m. Friday. It's believed three men got into a fight and one of them fired a gun, according to police.
By the time police arrived, the suspects had left, Ottawa police say. No injuries have been reported.
A 23-year-old suspect was arrested in Toronto over the weekend. Police say he is facing several firearm-related offences, including discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a loaded and unlicensed restricted firearm, and careless use and handling of a firearm. Additional charges include assault, resisting arrest, and various breaches under the Firearms Act. He is due in court Thursday.

'One year later, the community of Jasper continues to honour his memory and stand with all those who knew and loved him,' read the statement. 'We will never forget Morgan.'

Man taken to hospital after collision involving e-bike in Woolwich Township
A crash in Woolwich Township sent a man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Waterloo Regional Police Service was called to a collision involving an e-bike on Church Street East near Spruce Lane on Monday around 11:55 a.m. They said the operator of the e-bike, a 63-year-old man, was taken to hospital, but the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was not hurt. Roads were closed in the area during the investigation, but have since reopened.
