Agent Confirms Teenage Inter Milan Defender ‘Has A Lot Of Offers' & Quashes Donnarumma Links

The agent of Inter Milan defender Matteo Cocchi says that the teenage 'has a lot of offers' this summer transfer window. Agent Enzo Raiola spoke to FCInterNews after his visit to the Nerazzurri headquarters. He also denied links between Inter and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Advertisement Young Inter Milan defender Matteo Cocchi is a player with his future in the balance this summer. The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakout season with the Nerazzurri's Primavera, or Under-20, side. Therefore, it seems as though Cocchi is ready to take the next step. He will be playing senior football next season. Where that will be, however, is the big question. There will be no shortage of opportunities. Cocchi could play for Inter's Under-23 team next season. The Nerazzurri are setting the team up in order to give exactly that kind of opportunity to players from their youth academy. However, on the other hand, it could also be possible that Cocchi goes out on loan next season. 'We're trying to decide what's best for him. Stay, or gain experience elsewhere.' 'There are some offers from abroad,' Raiola said of Cocchi. 'And others from Italy.' 'But it's early now. He's young, and he finished his first adventure with the first team in the US for the Club World Cup a couple weeks ago.' Advertisement 'He'll be back with the first team soon,' said Raiola. 'There's time to figure out which path for him to take.' Then, the agent confirmed that 'some of the offers are from Serie A.' And of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Raiola said 'that wasn't on the agenda today.' 'Inter already have a goalkeeper,' he made clear. 'For now everything's quiet on that front.' 'If PSG sell him that's another story. But right now, it's not a discussion that I started with Inter, as I already said.'

Top photos of thrilling moments and close calls at Spain's San Fermín bull-running festival

PAMPLONA, Spain (AP) — Tens of thousands of revelers celebrated Pamplona's annual San Fermín bull-running festival in northern Spain. The highlight of the nine-day festival is the early morning bull runs, when thousands of runners sprint to avoid six bulls charging along a winding cobblestoned route to the city's bullring. A tiny minority of those who run with bulls are women, and while goring is not rare, more get injured in falls and pileups. Medics rush in to treat the injured and take the seriously hurt to a hospital. This is a photo gallery featuring some of the best photos from the week's event, curated by Associated Press photographer Bernat Armangue, based in Spain.

Barcelona fans kickstart fresh Ballon d'Or campaign after PSG's defeat to Chelsea

Droves of Barcelona supporters have over the last 24 hours moved to kick back into gear their push to see Lamine Yamal crowned the next Ballon d'Or winner. This comes owing to developments in the Club World Cup final. Advertisement Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain of course locked horns in the CWC showpiece on Sunday night, with the former having ultimately emerged dominant 3-0 victors. As much has dealt a potential blow to the Ballon d'Or hopes of PSG standout Ousmane Dembélé, who was considered something of a shoo-in for the prize, if the French champions had triumphed over Chelsea. With the race now back open, though, those of a Barcelona persuasion have not been long in pushing the name of Lamine back to the forefront of the discussion. Across social media and beyond, the Blaugrana faithful are now again calling for their side's prodigious young winger to beat out the competition to the 2025 Golden Ball. Conor Laird – GSFN
