Eight years after its debut, the Ferrari FXX-K EVO still asserts itself as one of the most ferocious track weapons ever built, as shown in a newly released helmet-cam video capturing a full-throttle hot lap around Monza.
Behind the wheel is Ferrari Challenge driver Sean Hudspeth, whose driver's-eye footage puts viewers directly in the cockpit as he pilots the limited-run hypercar through one of racing's most historic circuits. From the pit straight to the Parabolica, the FXX-K EVO's violent acceleration and unrelenting grip are on full display.
An evolution of the LaFerrari-derived FXX-K, the EVO package was revealed in 2017 and brought a host of aerodynamic improvements, including a fixed rear wing integrated with a shark fin, new front splitters, and aggressive underbody diffusers. Ferrari claims the updates deliver 23% more downforce over the original FXX-K, giving the EVO levels of grip normally reserved for prototype race cars.
Under the hood—or rather, at the rear—sits a hybrid 6.3-liter V12 mated to an electric motor, producing a combined 1,036 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. While the car is not road-legal and limited to Ferrari's Corse Clienti program, its performance is pure Formula 1 inspiration. Top speed is estimated at 217 mph, though in Monza's tight chicanes and long straights, the focus is on precision and balance as much as raw power.
The onboard footage is a rare look at a car few will ever drive and even fewer will own. But thanks to Hudspeth's helmet-mounted camera, enthusiasts around the world get a front-row seat to what it's like to push an FXX-K EVO to its limits on one of motorsport's grandest stages.

Ferrari unveils new 'Amalfi' petrol coupe ahead of EV launch

By Giulio Piovaccari MILAN (Reuters) -Ferrari revealed its new Amalfi coupe on Tuesday as the luxury sportscar maker mixes petrol and hybrid models in its range while preparing for the launch of its first fully electric vehicle. The eight-cylinder, 3.85-litre Amalfi replaces and upgrades the successful 2019 Roma in the entry segment of Ferrari's range and comes just two months after the launch of the 296 Speciale hybrid car and its convertible version. Ferrari will begin unveiling its first EV in October this year in a three-stage process culminating in a world premiere next spring. However, a second EV model that would aim for wider sales is not expected before 2028, because of a substantial lack of demand for high-performance luxury EVs, sources have told Reuters. The Amalfi has similar dimensions to the Roma, differing in its exterior look from its predecessor mainly for its redesigned front. Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Enrico Galliera said the Amalfi was a true Ferrari sportscar in terms of high performance, technology and driving pleasure, but it also had a "very elegant soul". "It allows for a different driving experience, less extreme but equally fun, it's suitable for a wide range of driving conditions," he said. The Amalfi is purely powered by an internal combustion engine which delivers 640 horsepower for a top speed of 320 kilometres per hour. It features a rear integrated active spoiler, contributing to the car's stability at high speed, the company said. Like the Roma, the Amalfi is a 2+ coupe, meaning it has two small rear seats. The starting price for the new model is set at 240,000 euros ($281,000), with first deliveries to clients scheduled in the first quarter of next year, starting from Europe. Deliveries to U.S. clients are expected to start three to six months later, at a higher price due to import tariffs. Orders for the Amalfi are being opened on Tuesday but Ferrari's dealers already received lots of expressions of interest from clients, Galliera said. The Roma coupe has gone out of production, while its retractable-top version, that was introduced in 2023, currently remains in Ferrari's range. Lewis Hamilton Urges Ferrari to Forget 2025 and Chase 2026 Breakthrough

Lewis Hamilton Urges Ferrari to Forget 2025 and Chase 2026 Breakthrough originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Lewis Hamilton has delivered a blunt message to Ferrari after the Austrian Grand Prix: stop dreaming about chasing McLaren this year, and put everything into preparing for the changes coming in 2026. Advertisement Ferrari showed a slight resurgence in Spielberg, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finishing third and fourth. But even on a day that felt better for the Scuderia, the reality was sobering — Leclerc still crossed the line nearly 20 seconds behind race winner Lando Norris. The deficit underlined what Hamilton believes is the hard truth: Ferrari, like the rest of the field, is no match for McLaren's current pace. 'Well, compared to McLaren, I don't think anyone's catching them,' Hamilton admitted. 'Never say never. Hopefully our next upgrade works the way we hope. Maybe that brings us a bit closer. At least we're not a minute down this weekend.' Hamilton, who has made the high-stakes switch from Mercedes to Ferrari this season, is already looking beyond 2025. With sweeping new technical regulations on the horizon — smaller, lighter cars with more electrification and 100% sustainable fuels — 2026 is shaping up to be a reset unlike any the sport has ever seen. Lewis Hamilton in the media pen after the 2025 Spanish believes that's where Ferrari's energy needs to be directed. 'We should be fully focused in terms of development on next year's car,' he said, before quickly clarifying that he knows 'Mercedes have already focused on next year.' Advertisement He emphasized the importance of Ferrari zeroing in on the right suspension concept and engine development. 'There's a few problems that need fixing. I'm trying to work with the engineers to make sure they rectify them for next year.' Hamilton also lifted the lid on his own struggles adapting to Ferrari's SF-25, which is set up for Leclerc's aggressive, oversteer-heavy style. 'He drives a massively oversteery car. He slides the rears and doesn't have degradation. When I slide the rears, I get massive degradation,' he said. 'Supposedly it took Carlos a couple of years to get used to. I don't want to do that.' The seven-time world champion might not have the answers yet but his focus is crystal clear. For Ferrari to dethrone McLaren and Red Bull, their best shot starts in 2026.
