Oasis' Dig At Andy Byron-Kristin Cabot Coldplay Kiss Fiasco: ‘Don't Have Cameras Here'
Last Updated: During Oasis' tour stop in Manchester's Heaton Park, Liam Gallagher couldn't resist taking a dig at the now-viral moment between Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot. What was meant to be a magical concert moment turned into a full-blown scandal for former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot. It all started at Coldplay's Boston show, where their kiss cam captured Byron and Cabot getting cosy with each other. The twist? Both are married to other people. While the camera may have moved on quickly, the internet didn't and now Liam Gallagher has something to say about it. During Oasis' tour stop in Manchester's Heaton Park, Liam couldn't resist taking a dig at the now-viral moment. He remarked, 'Do we have any love birds in the house? and added, 'Don't worry, we won't have none of that Coldplay snidey f–ing camera s–t here," sending fans into a frenzy. "Don't worry for those who are cheating we don't have that Coldplay camera here"Oasis at Heaton Park, 20/07/2025 — Oasis Mania (@OasisMania) July 21, 2025 Taking over as the interim CEO, Pete DeJoy addressed the situation in an official statement. Calling the whole thing 'surreal" for people working in Astronomer, he said that the company remains focused on its goals. He also acknowledged that the company has suddenly become a household name due to the events at the concert. On the other hand, Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin kept things light, jokingly asking people to put their makeup on before the camera put them in the limelight. In his following show in Wisconsin, Chris addressed the Boston concert debacle, saying, 'We'd like to say hello to some of you in the crowd," adding, 'How we're gonna do that is we're gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen." With a wide grin on his face, he added, 'So please, if you haven't done your makeup, do your makeup now." Coming back to Oasis, the band is on their Live '25 reunion tour. After the UK leg, which ends in Edinburgh, Scotland, they will jet off to Dublin in Ireland for the next show. view comments First Published: July 22, 2025, 13:23 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. ‘Poor taste': Amul topical features viral ‘kiss cam' couple from Coldplay concert, netizens disapprove
A Coldplay concert recently sent the Internet into a frenzy after a pair of concertgoers appeared on the jumbotron at the venue, also called the 'kiss cam'. As the meme fest continues, Amul, India's beloved dairy brand, too jumped on the bandwagon. While Amul's advertisements are often well-received, the new ad featuring the 'Coldplay couple' has not landed well on social media. The kiss cam footage from the concert had triggered a scandal as it involved Astronomer's then-CEO Andy Bryon and Kristin Cabot, the company's HR head. Amul's new poster features a doodle of the controversial couple, with the iconic Amul girl on the side. It also included a cheeky reference to the iconic song from the 1973 Hindi film Bobby. 'Hum tum ek camera mein bandh ho! (You and I are locked in a camera.) Only Scoops, no oops!' the text on the ad read. Sharing the post, Amul wrote, 'Amul Topical: Couple caught on 'kiss cam' at Coldplay concert!' See the viral post here: Amul Topical: Couple caught on 'kiss cam' at Coldplay concert! — (@Amul_Coop) July 21, 2025 However, the ad did not sit well with several social media users, who slammed the brand for stooping low. 'Not expected amul to join this Coldplay couple meme bandwagon,' a user wrote. 'This is in poor taste for your standards, please don't fall for such trending topics,' another user commented. 'What's this, why this? Not expected from the Amul creative team,' a third user reacted. Meanwhile, a new video of Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin, has emerged in which he warns concertgoers of the jumbotron seconds before the viral moment. In the footage, Martin is seen saying, 'Now what we would like to do is say hello to some of you. The way we're going to do that is, using our cameras, you can look at the screens and we can see who is out there and say hello. Let's go looking, please.' 'Either they are having an affair or they are just very shy. I hope we didn't do something bad,' he quickly said after the camera panned onto Byron and Cabot. Following the scandal, Astronomer released an official statement informing that Andy Bryon resigned as the CEO.
