Vanna White and Ryan Seacrest Shake Up Wheel of Fortune With Casting Change
America's Game Show has undergone many changes in such a short amount of time. Seacrest took over for longtime host Pat Sajak. The show underwent several changes, including a new puzzle board and graphics. WoF watchers also noticed that the show changed the contestant introductions.
According to The U.S. Sun, the hosts took to the show's official Instagram account to share an announcement. They want to break tradition with casting. You might've already noticed this week's episodes look a little different. There's a good reason why. 'It's a friendly wheel rivalry all this week as we introduce something new,' Seacrest shared.

'For the first time, our groups of contestants know each other. They're all-wheel fans who watch the show together,' White explained. 'And tonight, not only are they playing for cash and prizes, but also for the ultimate victory: bragging rights.'
The caption reads: 'We're spicing things up this week with a brand new way of playing wheel!' The change kicked off on Monday, May 12, with a group of friends who work as firefighters. But what do fans think of this change? The outspoken viewers haven't liked most of the changes that have taken place since September 2024.
Fans on Reddit shared their thoughts on this casting change. So far, the comments have been mixed. One Redditor admitted they loved this shakeup. The fan wrote, 'I really enjoyed the dynamic of them all being friends, and while I know it shouldn't be the norm, I'd love to see it more often. I have never seen it before…'
However, another user was turned off by this concept. The Redditor commented, 'Not a fan of this concept and making the million dollar wedge a group prize is stupid, especially since all 3 have to not land on bankrupt.' A third fan had a suggestion for this change. They noted, 'If they're going to make the million-dollar wedge a group prize that can be lost if any of the three hit a bankrupt for the rest of the game, then the payout should be a million dollars each if it's won!'
What are your thoughts on this new shakeup to casting? Would you like to see more friends play together on the show? What other changes would you like to see take place? Let us know in the comments section.

Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver Fighting in ‘Marriage Story' Is Being Used by the USDA to Scare Off Wolves and Save Cattle: ‘They Need to Know Humans Are Bad'
A new report from The Wall Street Journal reveals that audio of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver screaming at each other in Noah Baumbach's 'Marriage Story' is being used by the United States Department of Agriculture to scare off wolves from killing cattle and scaring livestock on farms across the America. The fight scene is the most emotionally volatile moment in Baumbach's 2019 drama, which earned both Johansson and Driver Oscar nominations. Per the WSJ: 'Riding to the rescue are drone cowhands, whose quadcopters have thermal cameras that can reveal any wolf lurking in the darkness and bathe it in a spotlight. A loudspeaker broadcasts alarming sounds like fireworks, gunshots and people arguing. One recording is of the fight between Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver in the movie 'Marriage Story.'' 'Wolf hazing,' as the practice is called, also uses loud music like AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck' to scare off deadly wolves. The USDA has relied on drones because gray wolves had long been on the federal government's list of endangered species. The process seems to be working. As the WSJ reported: 'Drones were deployed in the Klamath Basin of southern Oregon after 11 cows were killed by wolves there in a 20-day period. Over the next 85 days when drones were on patrol, only two were killed.' 'Marriage Story' stars Johansson and Driver as a couple going through a bitter divorce and custody battle over their son. The movie earned critical acclaim after premiering at the 2019 Venice Film Festival. Variety's Owen Gleiberman named 'Marriage Story' the second best movie of 2019. 'Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, in spectacular performances that work together with searing intimacy, enact the anger, pride, despair, and passion of a couple who tear their relationship apart, and their souls too, even as they both struggle to remain whole inside,' Gleiberman wrote. ''Marriage Story' tells the story of divorce in our time, and in doing so it earns a place next to those harrowing and heartrending texts of separation, 'Kramer vs. Kramer' and 'Scenes from a Marriage.'' Netflix Makes 'Rare' Decision to Cancel Beloved Show Featuring Hollywood Legend
On Friday, Aug. 1, Netflix reportedly called it quits on an action-comedy featuring one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood history: Arnold Schwarzenegger. The decision to cancel the series came just a few weeks after the release of Season 2 struggled to bring the same success as Season 1. Fubar centers on a CIA operative played by the legendary Scharzenegger who is on the verge of retirement who discovers a family secret and is forced to go back into the field for one last job. Why Did Netflix Cancel Schwarzenegger's Show? Netflix made the decision not to renew Fubar for a third season after the show's second season suffered what Deadline called a "surprisingly soft return" for the series that brought the stardom of Schwarzenegger combined with the acting prowess of Monica Barbero, who picked up an Oscar-nomination in between seasons 1 and 2 for her work on A Complete Unknown. "With Season 2 released more than two years after Season 1 dropped, Fubar barely made Netflix's Top 10 for English-language series in its first week, landing in the last spot with 2.2M views from Thursday through Sunday, down from about 11M views for the show's Season 1 premiere weekend," Deadline wrote. "Season 2 peaked at #7 in its first full week with 3.3M views and logged one more #10 finish in Week 3 with 1.8M views before dropping out of the Top 10." It's a 'Rare' Move From Netflix Deadline called it a "rare" move from Netflix, which has opted to renew 20 scripted series like Untamed for Season 2, Shane Gillis' comedy Tires for Season 3 and romantic dramas Ransom Canyon for Season 2 and Virgin River for Season 8. Fubar became just one of a handful of shows canceled by Netflix so far this year joining The Recruit, Pulse and The Makes 'Rare' Decision to Cancel Beloved Show Featuring Hollywood Legend first appeared on Men's Journal on Aug 2, 2025 Solve the daily Crossword
