Listen: Aespa returns with 'Dirty Work,' first single of 2025
June 27 (UPI) -- K-pop group Aespa released their first single of 2025 on Friday.
The South Korean singers dropped the song "Dirty Work," as well as an English version, and a remix with Flo Milli.
In the music video, Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning perform in an apparent prison.
"Real bad business, that's dirty work," they sing.
A previously issued press release described the concept as "a fresh contrast to their usual powerful charm."

The BTS star set several records not long ago with his solo single 'Who,' and lately, the Blackpink singer has been matching — and in some cases, beating — his historic showings with "Apt.," her collaboration with Bruno Mars. The two are tied once again on a Billboard ranking as "Apt." continues to stand out as one of the biggest hits in America. Rosé Ties Jimin's All-Time Streaming Record "Apt." returns to the top 40 on the Streaming Songs chart, Billboard's roster of the most-played tracks on platforms like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, Tidal, and others. As it ascends from No. 41 to No. 37, Rosé's team-up with Mars reaches 34 weeks somewhere on the all-genre tally. "Apt." is now tied with 'Who' for the honor of being the third-longest-running win by any K-pop musician in the history of the Streaming Songs roster. Psy Will Likely Always Be the Winner 'Gangnam Style' by Psy, which helped kick off the K-pop craze that continues to this day, is easily in first place on this historic list. That breakout smash remained on the chart for an amazing 122 weeks, and his is a record that will likely never be beaten. "Baby Shark," which comes from South Korean brand Pinkfong, managed 59 stays on the Streaming Songs chart. Rosé will almost certainly beat Jimin's record next week, but she has a long way to go before tying — and perhaps even topping — Pinkfong. It seems almost impossible that the Blackpink superstar, or anyone for that matter, will ever catch up to Psy, who may hold onto that special honor forever. 'Apt.' Remains a Massive Hit in America "Apt." remains a major hit across all consumption methods in the U.S. While the tune is declining on both the Digital Song Sales and Radio Songs charts, it sits in loftier positions there than on the Streaming Songs ranking. Rosé's breakout smash lives at No. 21 on the Digital Song Sales chart and No. 27 on the Radio Songs list, and it remains a top 10 hit on both of Billboard's global tallies.

Henry Golding Reveals ‘Crazy Rich Asians' Series Could Drop Next Year: ‘Aiming for Like First Quarter'
'Crazy Rich Asians' fans have been waiting patiently for a sequel to the hit film since its 2018 release. With follow-ups to the original novel by Kevin Kwan already ripe for adaptation — 2015's 'China Rich Girlfriend,' 2017's 'Rich People Problems' and 2024's 'Lies and Weddings' — and the massive return on its investment Warner Bros. enjoyed, it even feels inevitable. In 2022, it was reported that the sequel was officially on the way after replacing original co-writers Adele Lim and Peter Chiarelli. But it's seven years later… and nothing. Earlier this year, however, it was reported that a television series was in development for HBO Max with Lim back on board as the showrunner and director John M. Chu as executive producer. Lim has become a Hollywood powerhouse since her 'Crazy Rich' success, writing the Oscar-nominated 'Raya and the Last Dragon' and moving into the directing sphere with the acclaimed 'Joy Ride' and the upcoming 'Princess Diaries' sequel. Chu, of course, directed something called 'Wicked' last year — and that apparently has a sequel coming out this November. 'Something's being made,' Golding told Andy Cohn on 'Watch What Happens Live.' 'I think we're actually going to do a series. That's what they're trying to give us. Aiming for like first quarter, even, next year.' This also is the first establishment of a potential timeline for the series. Golding revealed that there's already stories written for the show, though he himself has not yet seen them. 'There are scripts hanging around but they haven't been passed on yet. I haven't read anything, but I hear it's promising,' he said. Whether or not the rest of the cast would return for the series is unclear. Since its release, Michelle Yeoh appeared in 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' and won an Oscar, in addition to also playing a pivotal role in 'Wicked.' Constance Wu voiced Daphne in 'Velma,' appeared with Bill Murray in 'The Friend,' has had several prominent stage roles, and released a best-selling autobiography. Awkwafina has been very, very busy, appearing in three films in 2024 alone.
