No. 1 OT Projected to Land With College Football Contender
Five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo is nearing a college decision and the Texas Longhorns are emerging as the favorite in his recruitment.

The Ohio State Buckeyes appear to be Texas' biggest threat to land Ojo. On3's Steve Wiltfong listed the Longhorns and Buckeyes as the "main two" schools for Ojo last week.
However, Rivals' Sam Spiegelman entered a recruiting prediction on Thursday for Texas to ultimately land a commitment from Ojo. His commitment date is set for July 4 around 1 p.m. CT.
Ojo is ranked the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 2 overall prospect in Texas for the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports. His 6-foot-6, 275-pound stature has been coveted by just about every powerhouse program in the country. Ojo has racked up offers from Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Oregon, and Ole Miss among others.
Utah, Texas, Michigan, and Ohio State were the last four schools to receive a visit from Ojo.

Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood has a strong track record of producing NFL offensive lineman and Ojo could receive immediate playing time once arriving in Austin, similar to former five-star offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.
The Longhorns signed the No. 1 overall recruiting class in 2025 and landing Ojo could certainly put them in the running to repeat that feat this cycle.
