Kamikazem & Karamell Embrace Chaos With Electro-Shaabi '3ady'

Breaking away from his usual introspective rap style, Egyptian rapper and member of the Ka2en collective Kamikazem ventures into shaabi with Cairo-native producer Karamell. Jul 10, 2025 Breaking away from his usual introspective rap style, Egyptian rapper and member of the Ka2en collective Kamikazem ventures into shaabi on a new collaborative single with Cairo-native producer Karamell. The track, titled '3ady', blends Egyptian rast maqam and club-ready electronics, which is imbued with nostalgic 90s melodies and shaabi influences. Born out of Kamikazem's attempt to find peace within the chaos of his life in Cairo, the song's easy-going lyricism highlights the importance of letting things be and simply going with the flow. Throughout the track, both artists, Kazem and Karamell, reflect on personal hardships and conflicts, and how they choose to handle them with humour and triviality. The music video for '3ady' is directed by Kamikazem. Inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' and Sherif Arafa's cult comedy 'El Nazer', Kazem creates a playful, absurdist world where misfortune is met with humour, not defeat. '3ady' is a preview single of Kamikazem's upcoming collaborative EP with his brother Gello, 'Kazem Vol.1', set to release this year.

Billie Eilish Condemns Israel Defense Minister's Plan to Forcibly Relocate Palestinians

Yara Sameh Billie Eilish is raising awareness for some of the biggest issues facing the world right now, from the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza to the immigration crackdowns in her hometown of Los Angeles. In a series of posts on her Instagram Story, the pop star called attention to a clip of Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz's recent announcement that Israel plans to move displaced Palestinians — starting with about 600,000 civilians — into a 'humanitarian city' built on the ruins of Rafah. According to CNN , Katz's long-term goal is to eventually relocate the entire Palestinian population of Gaza (about 2 million people) to the southern territory, where no one would be allowed to leave. Eilish described the proposal with one word: 'horrifying.' The development comes as Israel's war against Hamas approaches the two-year mark. The conflict first began on October 7, 2023, when the terrorist group killed 1,200 Israelis and took 251 more as hostages; more than 55,000 Palestinians have since died in Israel's retaliation efforts, according to Reuters . Eilish previously expressed her desire for the violence to end by wearing an 'Artists for Ceasefire' pin at the 2024 Oscars, and on Wednesday, she also reshared a video of an activist delivering clean water to refugees along the coast of Gaza. 'Thank you to all the heroes out there,' she wrote on her Story. In addition to speaking out about what's occurring in the Middle East, Eilish also reshared a video of Homeland Security agents in military gear storming MacArthur Park, where many children belonging to one of L.A.'s biggest immigrant populations often play, according to The New York Times . The operation follows the widely criticized U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids on the city in June. The Grammy winner also shared a more heartwarming post on her Story celebrating the bravery of Mexican firefighters who traveled to Texas amid the recent deadly floods, assisting with recovery efforts under orders from President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. The singer previously wrote a message of support to those affected by the natural disaster — in which more than 100 people have died — writing, 'this is so sad … sending love to Texas.' Eilish has long been outspoken about her political beliefs and the causes she supports, from endorsing Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election to partnering with her mom, Maggie Baird, on environmental initiatives through Support + Feed. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language
