Director
Mohit Suri
, who is currently awaiting the release of his film '
Saiyaara'
, recently shared a light-hearted incident from the music recording sessions.
In a chat with IANS, the director recalled the time when music composer
Tanishk Bagchi
asked him to leave the recording room.
Talking about working with debut singers, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami from Kashmir, Suri said, 'The recording and jamming sessions used to be very serious till the time I was there.
After that, what did they do? I don't know. They asked me to leave the recording session. Then I just realised the fun part started after that".
The director remembered that while they were all in the room, Tanishk looked at him and said, 'Sir, please leave now.'
Mohit laughed and said, 'He practically told me to get out.' He went on to explain that Tanishk knew the singers were trying to impress him without giving their best. Though strict with them, Tanishk was also protecting the singers and helping them improve.
Mohit added, 'All throughout he was like, 'No, no, no. sir, let them dub in their hometown only because they are in their comfort zone. Or else they will get scared'. That was such a sweet thing. He was like a father who was holding and protecting them. I am not very interfering but a very curious director who wants to be everywhere. I was told to get out by Tanishk".
'He is a musical genius. He knows how to do it the best. And the one thing I know is in music, it's the idea that's the genius", he concluded.
The film 'Saiyaara' will hit theatres on July 18, 2025.

So Long Valley Producer Files Rs 10 Crore Defamation Suit Against Ruchi Gujjar

Last Updated: Filmmaker Man Singh filed a Rs 10 crore defamation lawsuit against Ruchi Gujjar, accusing her of disrupting the premiere of his film So Long Valley and causing a public scene. Filmmaker Man Singh, who has both directed and produced the recently released crime thriller So Long Valley, has filed a Rs 10 crore defamation lawsuit against actress Ruchi Gujjar. The legal move comes after a dramatic disruption during the film's premiere. Singh alleges that this was orchestrated to damage the project's reputation and hinder its success. The case accuses Gujjar of a coordinated attempt to sabotage the film. According to an official statement from the production, Gujjar is said to have paid Rs 20–30 lakh to an associate, Karan Chauhan, and allegedly pressured other cast members to withdraw from the film. Furthermore, she reportedly tried to halt the release altogether by approaching the court. However, the court rejected her plea, ruling that she had no contractual or financial ties with the production and thus no grounds to intervene. The matter escalated at the film's premiere on July 25, when Gujjar allegedly caused a public scene. She is reported to have thrown a sandal and a water bottle at Man Singh during the screening event. The Amboli Police subsequently registered an FIR against her and six others. In the video, Gujjar was heard screaming while arguing with the producers. She then lost her cool and hit one of the producers with her chappal. It appears that she arrived at the theatre with the intention of staging a protest. During the special screening, where the producers were present, Ruchi showed up along with a group of protestors. People around her were seen raising slogans against the producers. They held placards with the producers' photos, marked with red cross signs across their faces. In some of the posters, which can be seen in the video, the producers were depicted sitting on donkeys. Take a look at the now-viral videos here: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bollywood News (@bolly_newssss) View this post on Instagram A post shared by SpotlightBollywood (@spotlightbolly) According to Ruchi, Chauhan had approached her last year claiming he was producing a Hindi television serial that would soon air on Sony TV. 'He offered to add me as a co-producer and also sent documents related to the project," she said, according to media reports. Believing the offer, Ruchi stated that between July 2023 and January 2024, she transferred several payments from her company, SR Event and Entertainment, into accounts linked to Chauhan's K Studios. However, the promised project never took off. 'Despite repeated contacts, he kept postponing them and lied," she added in her complaint. She claims to have discovered that the funds were allegedly used not for the serial, but for the production of So Long Valley. 'When I got the information that the film is releasing on July 27, I told him to return my money now, on which he started threatening me," she alleged. Speaking to the media after the incident, Singh condemned the actress's actions, stating, 'The movie has faced a major financial impact and negative publicity due to such false allegations and threats by Ruchi." He also claimed that she attempted to intimidate both actors and service vendors involved in the project despite lacking any formal association with the film. 'Our legal team has filed a ₹10 crore defamation claim against her," Singh confirmed, adding that further legal measures are being reviewed. His legal representatives echoed this, stating that proceedings have already begun and additional actions may follow. So Long Valley, starring Tridha Choudhury, Akanksha Puri, and Man Singh, hit cinemas on July 25. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. In Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom, the rise, slump and the road to redemption

Vijay Deverakonda's career trajectory is one compelling screenplay. It has all the ingredients to keep you invested. From witnessing a meteoric rise and facing crushing lows, a triumphant comeback is just around the corner. The actor often talked about how he achieved success in an industry without any backing. While his career saw a lot of highs, it is also a challenging one at 'Kingdom' all set for a grand release later this week, let us take a look at how his career has shaped the actor that he ARRIVAL AND THE RISEDeverakonda's rise as a promising hero began modestly but gained unstoppable momentum through three pivotal films that established him as Telugu cinema's new poster boy. 'Yevade Subramanyam' marked his entry into mainstream cinema, where his supporting role alongside Nani showcased his natural screen presence and acting chops. The film's success opened doors, but it was merely a glimpse of what was to real breakthrough came with director Tharun Bhascker's 'Pelli Choopulu', where Deverakonda played his first solo lead. This slice-of-life romantic comedy, co-starring Ritu Varma, became a runaway hit and established him as a promising newcomer. The film's success proved that audiences were hungry for fresh faces and relatable storytelling. However, it was director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Arjun Reddy' that transformed Deverakonda from a promising actor into a phenomenon. His raw, unfiltered portrayal of Arjun Reddy – a self-destructive medical student consumed by love and rage – struck a chord with younger film's bold content and Deverakonda's fearless performance created a cultural moment, spawning countless discussions and establishing him as the voice of rebellious youth. The angry young man portrayal tapped into the psyche of audiences and is still talked about. 'Arjun Reddy' was remade in multiple languages. While the Hindi remake tasted success, the Tamil version hardly made a high on 'Arjun Reddy's' success, Deverakonda delivered 'Geetha Govindam', a charming romantic comedy opposite Rashmika Mandanna. The film was a massive commercial success, proving that he could pull off family entertainers as well. His chemistry with Rashmika and the film's family-friendly appeal expanded his fan base significantly. THE DEVASTATING SLUMP'Dear Comrade' saw him reunite with Rashmika in a romantic action drama that, while receiving mixed reviews, showcased his versatility as an actor. By this point, Deverakonda had established himself as one of Telugu cinema's most bankable stars, with a devoted fan following and the industry's however, wasn't constant in his film career. It took a sharp downturn with a series of consecutive failures that tested both his resilience and his standing in the crushing failure began with 'World Famous Lover', which opened to negative reviews and failed to connect with audiences despite featuring multiple female actors, including Raashii Khanna, Catherine Tresa, and Aishwarya the most significant blow came with 'Liger', a Hindi-Telugu bilingual that was meant to establish him as a pan-India star. Directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar, the film "opened to highly negative" reviews. The actor guaranteed a blockbuster success and even made tall claims about its box office collection. However, the film tanked at the box office. It did not end there! The streak continued with 'Kushi' and reached its peak with 'The Family Star'. While 'The Family Star', despite being a reunion with director Parasuram, failed to recreate the charm of 'Geeta Govindam'.The failures weren't just commercial disappointments - they represented a disconnect between the actor's choices and audience KINGDOM BE THE MUCH-ANTICIPATED REDEMPTION?Now, all his hopes are pinned on director Gowtam Tinnanuri's upcoming duology, 'Kingdom'. Set to hit cinemas on July 31, 2025, 'Kingdom's' success will reaffirm the actor's market standing, which has been facing consecutive 'Kingdom' appears to be a return to the intense, character-driven storytelling that originally made Deverakonda a star, it is also home to some intense beats which Vijay Deverakonda has pulled off in the past. Planned as a two-part film series with music by Anirudh Ravichander, the action drama should give Deverkonda a much-needed respite. 'Kingdom' is much more than just another film for Deverakonda – its success could mean a potential career resurrection. The actor's journey from the heights of 'Arjun Reddy' to the lows of recent failures demonstrates how quickly fortunes can change in the world of cinema. If the film is rich in authenticity and has the emotional connect that Gowtam Tinnanuri's 'Jersey' had, it would strike gold at the box rise, slump, and potential redemption of Vijay Deverakonda serves as a reminder that in cinema, talent alone isn't enough – it's the marriage of the right story, the right moment, and the right audience that creates lasting success. 'Kingdom' will determine whether Vijay Deverakonda can reclaim his position as one of Telugu cinema's most compelling performers.- EndsTune InMust Watch
