Varun Dhawan 'Likes' Post Trolling Aneet Padda, Stating 'Film Is Hit By Fluke, Can't Be A Heroine'?
The post also trolled the cast and crew of Saiyaara for hosting the film's success party in Singapore. Varun allegedly 'liked' it. Varun Dhawan's alleged Instagram activity has caught everyone's attention. As per some social media posts, Varun Dhawan had allegedly 'liked' an Instagram video dissing Saiyaara star Aneet Padda for her latest public appearance. The video was posted by Kamaal R Khan, who slammed Aneet for 'pretending' to be shy in front of paparazzi after allegedly calling them to the airport herself. While many posts claim that Varun had 'liked' the video, it seems to have been removed now. Kamaal said in the video, 'Film hit ho gayi hai toh Aneet ne drama karna shuru kar diya hai… Jab Aneet airport pe pohochi, toh wahan media wale khade the. Isne kaha mujhe bohot zyada sharam aa rahi hai, mujhe shoot na karein… Jab aapko sharam aati hai… aapne media walo ko paise deke wahan kyu bulaya?" Why is Varun Dhawan liking a video against #AneetPadda Reddit caught Varun and screenshot it before he removes Like Or is it because Varun was considered for #Saiyaara and Adi rejected him for younger actor? The thing is Varun doesn't even follow KRK and yet he liked this… — Redditbollywood (@redditbollywood) July 31, 2025 He also said, 'Yeh jo film hit hui hai na, voh ek tukka hai. Aapme ek bhi gunn nahi hai heroine banne ka, toh hawa main mat udo kyuki kitni jaldi aap zameen par girogi aapko pata bhi nahi chalega." Kamaal also trolled the cast and crew of Saiyaara for hosting the film's success party in Singapore after 'earning most of the money from India'. Now why would someone who has spent over a decade in the industry be jealous from a newcomer, that too an actress who isn't even a threat to this guy in any way? — Gaurav (@Sidian_G) July 31, 2025 now why is Varun liking a hate post against Aneet and that too on KRK's page 💀— 🌸 (@byebiech) July 31, 2025 However, what caught everyone's attention was that Varun Dhawan had allegedly 'liked' the post. Several screenshots are now circulating on social media, showing that Varun had 'liked' the video. However, News18 could not verify this as the alleged 'like' cannot be seen or seems to have been removed now. Varun's fans defended the actor and said that he might have accidentally reacted to the video. Meanwhile, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara is showing no signs of slowing down. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri, continues its triumphant box office run. Having crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in just nine days, Saiyaara is now eyeing the Rs 300 crore club—an impressive feat for a film led by newcomers. The film, which was released on July 18, 2025, started modestly but quickly gained momentum thanks to strong word-of-mouth and a deeply emotional storyline. It follows the journey of Krish Kapoor, a struggling musician, and Vaani Batra, a soulful poet, as they navigate themes of love, loss, and healing. The chemistry between Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has been widely praised, marking a successful debut for both actors. Suniel Shetty Says Star Kids Face More Pressure Today: 'Everybody Believes They Are A Critic'
Last Updated: Suniel Shetty reflects on the evolving film industry, stating that star kids today face more pressure than before due to fierce competition and constant public scrutiny. Having spent over three decades in the film industry, Suniel Shetty has worn many hats — from being the quintessential action hero of the '90s to dabbling in negative roles and now thriving in the OTT space. As he gears up for the release of Hunter Season 2, the veteran actor opened up in an interview with Hindustan Times about the shifting landscape of Bollywood, especially for newcomers. Shetty, who carved his place in the industry without a filmi background, recalled facing resistance in his early years for not fitting the 'conventional hero" mold. 'People told me I didn't look like a hero," he said. Yet, he persevered and went on to become one of the defining action stars of his generation. However, when asked about the current crop of newcomers, Shetty had an interesting take. Contrary to the belief that star kids have it easy, he argued that today's industry is far less forgiving. 'The kids have to work harder to prove themselves," he explained. 'Earlier, they assumed they'd automatically be a part of the film world. Today, they know they have to educate themselves, be prepared — whether it's acting, body language, or everything else. You can't skip the fundamentals." He pointed out that while competition is undoubtedly fierce, it's the audience scrutiny that's become relentless. 'Everyone is a critic today," Shetty observed. 'But it's not constructive criticism — it's about trashing films and performances. That kind of judgment takes a toll." His own children have experienced the highs and lows of the industry. Daughter Athiya Shetty made her debut with Hero in 2015 but quietly stepped away from acting after her 2019 release Motichoor Chaknachoor didn't click at the box office. Son Ahan Shetty entered the scene with Tadap in 2021 and now has Border 2 and Sanki in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Suniel continues to reinvent himself. In Hunter Season 2 on Amazon MX Player, he shares screen space with Jackie Shroff, Anusha Dandekar, and Barkha Bisht, proving that even after 30 years, he's still got his finger on the pulse of the times.
