Yemen's Houthis "warn" companies to leave Israel
The Houthis yesterday renewed their warning to all firms investing in Israel, urging them to leave immediately or risk bearing full responsibility for any potential losses.
Mahdi Al-Mashat, president of the Supreme Political Council — the highest governing authority in the Houthi-led administration in Sanaa — called on all companies investing in Israel to take the Yemeni warning seriously and to withdraw quickly, stressing that the environment is no longer safe. His remarks were reported by Houthi-run media.
'Companies that remain in the Zionist entity after our warning will have to bear the consequences of their insistence and be held accountable for any losses they may incur,' he added.
'We may take additional decisions in the coming days, if necessary, which would place investment companies within the Zionist entity at real and serious risk.'
'The disregard shown by some investment firms for our forces' warnings makes their operations inside the entity a dangerous gamble, which could come at a heavy cost,' Al-Mashat added.
He accused the Israeli occupation government of failing to protect the interests of private companies, saying: 'The criminal Netanyahu government does not care about the safety of investment companies. It gambles with their security to serve its own interests. A government that ignores the lives of its own captives will certainly not care about the safety of others' companies and investments.'

The committee praised the efforts of local authorities, military units, and citizens in Taiz for their cooperation and vigilance, describing the operation as a major blow to terrorist networks seeking to destabilize Yemen's liberated areas. Over 12 Million People in Houthi-Controlled Areas of Yemen Face High Levels of Food Insecurity
A new analysis by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) has revealed that more than 12.2 million people—nearly half the population living in Houthi-controlled areas of northern Yemen—are facing high levels of acute food insecurity, with urgent humanitarian assistance needed between May and August 2025. The report indicates that 8.5 million people are experiencing Crisis-level food insecurity (IPC Phase 3), while 3.7 million are in the more severe Emergency phase (IPC Phase 4). All 215 districts analyzed in Houthi-held territories are affected, with over 100 districts classified as being in a state of emergency. The deterioration is attributed to a combination of prolonged conflict, economic collapse, climate shocks, and the suspension of humanitarian food aid. The ongoing Red Sea crisis, airstrikes on port infrastructure, and the designation of the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) have further disrupted supply chains and livelihoods. The report also warns that the suspension of the Humanitarian Food Assistance Program (HFSA) since May 2025 poses a serious threat. While nearly 2.85 million people were reached in early 2025, only 61,000 individuals are expected to receive aid in the coming months due to funding cuts. The UN calls for an immediate resumption of aid, de-escalation of hostilities, and improved humanitarian access to prevent further deterioration and support long-term recovery.
