Spokesman: New 50-Riyal coin milestone in Yemen's economic sovereignty
The spokesperson for the Government of Change and Construction, Hashem Sharaf al-Din, said the issuance of the new 50-riyal coin represents nothing less than 'a cornerstone in building Yemen's sovereignty' and a new page in the nation's record of economic victories—one that will not be the last in its ongoing journey of resilience, progress, and transformation.
Speaking to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Sharaf al-Din stated, 'This record—written by the wisdom of the revolutionary and political leadership, and the competence of the heroes on the economic front—will continue, by the will of God, to add new chapters of steadfastness.'
He added, 'Every beneficial national currency made available to the people is a bridge toward sovereign decision-making. Every economic victory achieved is an unshakable fortress in the face of enemy. And every financial success is a protective shield in the battle for dignity—a sword that splits the conspiracies of Yemen's enemies, by God's grace, and with the resolve of men who know no impossibility.'
Sharaf al-Din affirmed that the Yemeni people will continue reaping the fruits of the Central Bank's efforts, emphasizing that 'Yemen's victories are minted in the factories of willpower before they are struck in the mints, and Yemen's glory is shaped by a people who etch their history in gold.'

General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions Praises Steps Taken by Trade Unions in Greece, UK
Sana'a - Saba: The General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions expressed its gratitude for the steps taken by trade unions in Greece and the United Kingdom in rejecting the facilitation of the passage of military shipments bound for the Zionist entity and in imposing a complete ban on arms exports to Israel. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the federation praised the labor union at the Port Authority of Piraeus in Greece, which issued a joint statement rejecting the facilitation of military shipments to the Zionist entity and announced plans to hold protest sit-ins. It also commended the actions of 'Unite the Union,' the largest trade union in the UK's private sector, which overwhelmingly voted in favor of a complete ban on arms exports to Israel. The union supported the right of workers to refuse to manufacture, transport, or handle any military equipment used in genocide and Israeli assaults against the Palestinian people, affirming its commitment to boycott Israeli products and support divestment from companies complicit in crimes against Palestinians. The statement clarified that these workers were moved by the heinous crimes committed by the Zionist entity against children and women, which stirred their human conscience, prompting them to take a clear stance. It added that the ongoing genocide and starvation of the Palestinian people require a noble position worthy of being recorded in history's brightest pages. The General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions extended its thanks and appreciation to those who took these steps, calling on all port workers around the world—especially those in Arab and Islamic countries, who bear greater responsibility than others—to follow the same path as the unions in Greece and the UK. It also called on all Arab and Islamic federations and labor unions worldwide to engage with this humanitarian cause and translate it into practical action among the workers of their countries' ports. Gaza Media: Enemy rages systematic thirsty war on Gaza
Gaza - Saba: The government media office in Gaza confirmed on Monday that the Zionist enemy is waging a systematic war of deprivation of water in the Gaza Strip, committing 112 massacres against water filling lines, killing more than 700 people, the majority of whom are children. In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), he said, "In one of the most heinous crimes committed against humanity, the Israeli enemy continues to wage a systematic and deliberate war of deprivation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian conventions, in which water is used as a weapon of collective war to exterminate the population and deprive them of their most basic rights." Today, the media office published accurate statistics on the enemy's crimes, targeting (112) fresh water filling stations, committing massacres against hundreds of civilians in water filling lines, most of them children seeking drinking water. The most recent massacre occurred in the New Camp, northwest of the Nuseirat camp (central Gaza Strip), where the enemy killed 12 martyrs, including eight children. The enemy also deliberately destroyed (720) water wells, putting them out of service, depriving more than a million and a quarter people of access to clean water. It also prevented the entry of 12 million liters of fuel per month, the minimum amount needed to operate the minimum number of water wells, sewage treatment plants, waste collection vehicles, and other vital sectors. This ban has caused a near-total paralysis of water and sewage networks and exacerbated the spread of epidemics, especially among children. The Office stated that since January 23, 2025, the enemy has cut off the Mekorot water supply—the last major source of water supply to the Gaza Strip—exacerbating the tragedy of thirst and daily suffering. It pointed out that on March 9, 2025, the enemy cut off the last power line supplying the last central desalination plant located south of Deir al-Balah (central Gaza Strip), halting the production of large quantities of drinking water and further exacerbating the stifling water crisis. The Office stated that the Gaza Strip is today witnessing a major crime of deprivation of water, carried out deliberately and systematically by the Israeli enemy, amidst complete international silence and the direct and indirect participation of European and Western countries implicated in supporting or complicit in the crime of genocide. The clear components and elements of this crime are no longer hidden, most notably: starvation, deprivation of water, and deprivation of medicine, shelter, and water. It stated that this racist policy constitutes a full-fledged war crime under the Geneva Conventions and a serious violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, for which the Israeli enemy authorities bear full responsibility. The Office held the states supporting and complicit in this genocide—primarily the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom—legally and morally responsible for the continuation of this most serious humanitarian catastrophe in modern times. The Office called on the international community, and all UN, human rights, and international legal institutions, to take urgent action to immediately halt the war of deprivation, ensure unhindered access to water for civilians, and pressure the enemy to bring in the fuel and equipment necessary to operate water wells and sewage treatment plants. It also called for an urgent international investigation into the crime of deprivation of water, as it is part of the ongoing genocide against civilians in the Gaza Strip. It also called for the enemy to be held accountable before international courts for its crimes against defenseless civilians, and for its criminal leaders to be brought before international courts. The Office stressed that "these complex crimes do not and will not be subject to a statute of limitations, and that the steadfast Palestinian people will remain committed to their right to a dignified life. We will continue to expose these crimes to the world until full justice is achieved." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)
