Liam Gallagher and Noel cause chaos as they 'receive a noise complaint' after reuniting for their first Oasis show in 16 years at surprise venue

Daily Mail26-04-2025
They were seen back together for the first time in almost 16 years on Thursday as they began preparation for their upcoming reunion tour.
And the Gallagher brothers appear to be already causing chaos after their rehearsal performance received a noise complaint from the neighbours.
Liam and Noel were spotted arriving at a working men's club in Newington Green in London as to film some promo for their tour and shoot scenes for a new Adidas campaign.
However the Britpop band managed to annoy the locals and received a noise complaint, The Sun has reported.
A source told the publication: 'Noel and Liam are still Shakermakers and they drove one of the neighbours mad with the noise.
'Before Noel and Liam had even arrived, a resident next door came out and said they needed to turn the bass down.
'But it's Oasis - they're only going to turn it up - and they did when Noel and Liam started up.'
MailOnline have contacted Oasis' representatives for comment.
Arriving on set Liam, 52, appeared in great spirits as he was seen beaming in his signature khaki trench coat.
Meanwhile Noel, 57, made sure to catch the attention of those passing by as he opted for a bright blue Adidas jacket, skinny jeans and a pair of stylish shades.
The Oasis Live 25 tour kicks off on 4 July at Cardiff's Principality Stadium before playing sell-out gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium in London, and Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium.
The Brit pop band will then head over to America, South America and Asia in 2025.
Noel was previously seen heading to his London studio earlier this month as he kicked off rehearsals for the series of shows.
Yet with just months away from their on stage reunion, Liam is said to be prioritising 'rest' instead of getting back in the studio with his brother Noel.
A source close to Noel told The Mirror: 'Noel is often in and out of the studio working on things, he is a singer songwriter so it's only natural.
'But Liam is a singer and he has a long list of dates ahead of him with Oasis this year so he will not be overdoing rehearsals. After a big solo Definitely Maybe tour your last year, the main thing his voice needs at the moment is rest.'
It was revealed Liam was planning on meeting with the band in May to rehearse for the shows.
The source added: 'The plan is for the band to start meeting up in May. They will jam around and work out a set list and Liam will be the last one to join in with the vocals.'
Liam and Noel have famously been locked in a feud since the band broke up in 2009 with Noel saying at the time 'I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.'
However, in August, Liam and Noel reconciled and announced Oasis were reforming for a string of stadium dates in 2025.

Liam Gallagher makes a cryptic reference to his now-deleted social media post during Heaton Park show after sparking outrage over racial slur

Liam Gallagher made a cryptic reference to his now-deleted social media post as he spoke on stage during Oasis' second night at Heaton Park on Saturday. The singer, 52, sparked outrage earlier this month when he shared a racial slur to X, which he later apologised for. Famously outspoken and controversial, Liam left many of his Asian fans hurt and offended, after sharing derogatory phrase 'chingchong'. The slur is a derogatory imitation of the Chinese language and is used mock or denigrate people of East Asian descent. Seemingly referring to the incident in front of the sold-out 80,000 strong crowd in Manchester, Liam explained that he had burnt his eyelids. He then added: 'Gotta wear the shades tonight, didn't wear them last night, woke up this morning like a grasshopper? You're allowed to say grasshopper, right?' Liam appeared to tweet the phrase two weeks ago, responding to critics by claiming: 'it's an ancient thought process get on it.' He later responded to one fan warning him he'd be cancelled by saying: 'Whatever'. But he seemed to have learned the error of his ways after deleting the original tweet and taking to X once again to apologise and insist his use of the slur wasn't 'intentional'. Liam wrote: 'Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before it wasn't intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. peace and love LG x'. However, the damage was done for many, with some less than impressed by his apology and calling his behaviour 'disappointing'. They took to social media to say: 'My friend once went to Liam Gallagher's Knebworth gig alone, and got assaulted by racists. It was never just a wrong word. It sounds okay to you because you've never been scared by people calling you racist slurs. Grown ups should know it's never right to defend racism'. 'Why are so many white people defending Liam Gallagher and saying he did nothing wrong?? Just because he sang your favourite songs doesn't mean you can excuse blatant racism.' 'Who would have thought in 2025 at the ripe age of 52 Liam Gallagher would still consider casual racism as being edgy.' But he seemed to have learned the error of his ways, after deleting the original tweet and taking to X once again to apologise and insist his use of the slur wasn't 'intentional' Liam and Noel were hand-in-hand as they kicked off the first of their five-night stint at Heaton Park on Friday. Oasis performed in front of a sold-out 80,000 strong crowd in their home city of Manchester after beginning their world tour in Cardiff last week. The shows at Heaton Park - a 600-acre public park in Bury and Manchester - are the only UK shows held outside a stadium, with the others taking place at the Principality Stadium, Wembley and Murrayfield. Oasis opened their set with Hello from their 1995 second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, before playing Acquiesce. Fans were treated to Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes and Alcohol, and Supersonic before Noel's acoustic set. Other songs included D'You Know What I Mean, Cast No Shadow, Stand By Me, Whatever and Rock N Roll Star. Oasis ended the night on Champagne Supernova with fireworks being set off from the stage.

EastEnders actor arrested on set as 'assault' left woman 'very distressed'

An extra in his 50s was arrested on the EastEnders set at Elstree Studios, Hertfordshire, on May 7 after a woman complained he had tried to forcibly kiss her while filming An actor was arrested on the set of EastEnders following an alleged assault that left a woman "clearly very distressed", reports say. Cameras stopped rolling at Elstree Studios, Hertfordshire, on May 7 after a woman complained that a fellow extra, a man in his 50s, had tried to forcibly kiss her. Security stepped in to grab the man, which led to a scuffle before the actor was handed over to police. According to reports, the man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of the woman and of common assault against another person, which is alleged to have happened while he was escorted away. He is said to have been released on bail while investigations continue. Filming resumed after the incident. A source told The Sun that the incident was "dramatic" and "everyone was quite shaken by up by it all." The witness said: "No one could quite believe what was happening. "The main focus was the woman's welfare, as she was clearly very distressed. Obviously, filming had to be stopped while the incident was dealt with by production managers and security. "It got very heated when the man squared up to the security staff as they tried to calm things. Eventually, he was questioned and taken away by police." It is understood that the cameras didn't capture footage of the alleged attack, but it's not clear whether the scenes filmed on the day of the incident have been screened on TV yet. According to the publication, Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale in the BBC soap opera, was one of the stars filming at the time. The source added that "everyone involved in the production, including the cast and crew, acted very responsibly in an extremely difficult situation." Crew members were said to be grateful to bosses for the "professionalism and understanding" they showed in handling the incident. Hertfordshire Police confirmed that a suspect in his 50s was "arrested on suspicion of common assault and sexual assault in relation to two victims." The force added: "He is on police bail whilst enquiries continue." EastEnders said in a statement on Saturday: "While we would never comment on individuals, EastEnders has on-site security and well-established procedures in place to safeguard the safety and welfare of everyone who works on the show."
