The third time is the charm for Basketcase andNew Balance. After first teaming up on the New Balance 1906AD last June and then once again back in November on the Minimus MT20, the Southern Californian streetwear label has once again connected with the footwear imprint for a new collaborative footwear release: the Basketcase x New Balance 204L.
Arriving as a Friends & Family release, the new Basketcase x New Balance offering maintains the duo's monochromatic, minimalistic approach, though taking it up a notch.
Engulfed in different shades of gray, the collaborative take on the new NB silhouette comes elevated with textured pony hair underlays. The pony hair is partially hidden beneath premium nubuck overlays, dipped in a slightly different gray hue. Leather linings, contrasting EVA foam midsoles and outsoles, round out the low-profile stepper.
The sneaker is currently stationed in Paris' Le Marais district, on display as the focal point of Basketcase's showroom. While this specific colorway is confirmed not to get a wholesale release, a press release states that it does in fact precede 'an additional colorway [of the collaborative sneaker] launching globally later this year.'
Take a closer look at the Basketcase x New Balance 204L in the gallery above and stay tuned for more information for release details of the yet-to-be-revealed collaborative colorway.

Shawn Johnson East Nails the Perfect Balance on Jenga Stack—in Sky-High Heels

Shawn Johnson East Nails the Perfect Balance on Jenga Stack—in Sky-High Heels originally appeared on Parade. In a 'don't try this at home' moment, Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson East is proving that her balance beam skills are as strong as ever. Recently, she took on a viral social media challenge made famous by Nicki Minaj with her signature gymnast flair. In a hilarious and impressive Instagram reel, the athlete and former "DWTS" winner perched precariously atop a towering Jenga stack, rocking sky-high heels, with core strength and poise that made it look effortless. Check out the jaw-dropping video that has fans buzzing: Wow! East (@shawnjohnson) nailed the pose in a sleek black outfit and sunglasses, legs crossed, channeling Nicki Minaj's iconic stance.. With one heel balanced on the wooden blocks stacked on her kitchen counter, she even held a drink for added husband, Andrew East, pulled out a piece as she held the move, keeping every block perfectly in place. With her history as a 2008 Beijing Olympics champion on the balance beam and "DWTS" Season 8 winner, she's proving she's still every bit a superstar. Her Instagram fans loved the display of skill and fun. One shared, 'That is freaking unbelievable and a little crazy! You two are so entertaining.' And @maegangrifffin added, 'The Olympian has spoken!' What Is the Nicki Minaj Challenge? The Nicki Minaj Challenge, which went viral in mid-2025, is inspired by Minaj's dramatic 'pretzel pose' from her 2013 'High School' music video. Participants recreate this pose in heels, often adding difficulty by balancing on unstable surfaces like books or chairs. But this took the challenge to new heights, literally. East's playful and impressive take on the Nicki Minaj Challenge reminds us that even as a mom and retired gymnast, she still has the strength and skills that made her a household name. Whether it's family moments or viral trends, she continues to wow her fans with her talent and charm. Liam Neeson looks back on ‘falling in love' with late wife Natasha Richardson as Pamela Anderson romance blooms

Liam Neeson revisited his and late wife Natasha Richardson's love story amid his budding romance with Pamela Anderson. The actor recalled meeting Richardson when they co-starred in Broadway's 1993 revival of 'Anna Christie' during an interview with the New York Times published on Thursday. 'It was great doing it every night with her and falling in love,' the Oscar nominee, 73, gushed. The outlet noted that Neeson spoke in a near-whisper while reflecting on this time with the actress, who died in a fatal 2009 skiing accident, as they walked past the theater where he met his late wife. While the reporter claimed Richardson 'came up unprompted from time to time,' the profile did not reference any other instances. The late Tony winner married Neeson in 1994, and the former couple welcomed sons Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28, during their time together. Neeson insisted to People last year that he was done dating after Richardson's tragic death and 'past all that.' However, Andy Cohen explained to 'Radio Andy' listeners Wednesday that Anderson is 'just like' his 'dear friend' Richardson. 'She is an independent woman,' the 'Watch What Happens Live' host, 57, dished. 'She loves to cook. She has her own thing going on. She has two boys.' Neeson and Anderson sparked romance rumors earlier this month while promoting 'Naked Gun,' with Page Six confirming Wednesday that the co-stars are dating and 'figuring things out along the way.' Elsewhere in Thursday's piece, Anderson gushed over Neeson and highlighted his 'charm and charisma.' The 'Baywatch' alum said she has 'never experienced [anything like it] before.' 'You just kind of fall into it.' Like Neeson, Anderson has two sons — Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27 — with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. The 'Pamela's Cooking With Love' star has also been married to Kid Rock, Rick Salomon — twice — and Dan Hayhurst over the years. Her most recent union ended in 2022, and she has not gone public with any relationships since. Solve the daily Crossword
