Kind of introducing her to some more of the sports world that.' With a laugh and a shrug, he added, 'We're having fun with it, man, being a couple.'
The NFL star's comments make it clear — there's no strategic publicity machine in play here. It's just two people in love, showing up for each other. Still, Swift's presence at Chiefs games stirred up quite a reaction — and not always a warm one. Some fans took issue with the frequent camera pans to her during broadcasts. But as she revealed in her TIME interview from December 2023, she had no control over it. 'I don't know how they know what suite I'm in,' she said. 'There's a camera, like, a half-mile away... so I don't know if I'm being shown 17 times or once.'
At the end of the day, she insisted her only focus was Travis.
'I'm just there to support Travis,' she added. 'I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.'
Together, the couple has learned to drown out outside criticism with a grounded mindset. As Kelce explained in a January 2024 press conference, 'The only thing we've talked about is as long as we're happy, we can't listen to anything that's outside noise. That's all that matters."
Even those closest to them, like Patrick Mahomes, have taken notice of how genuine Kelce has remained throughout it all. 'He's still Travis Kelce,' Mahomes told NBC Sports. 'He still will walk through the stadium and treat every single person like they're his best friend.'
